Our server Johnathan was not the best. He hit on my friend, when obviously she was way too young for him. His focus should have been on our experience not trying to get numbers. Other than the bad server…everything else was great. Hopefully if we come back we won’t have him as a server.
Great experience….Great food…Great service…Great vibe! Crab donuts were amazing!
Beautiful outside setting. Food was excellent. Service was also excellent despite shortage of wait staff. Highly recommend reservations.
Great atmosphere. Food is good. Need to expand the menu. Cocktails are awesome!
Birthday celebration. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive or accessible. Wine was good and so was the food. Fire pit outside is such a nice touch!
Big wide open space which refreshingly quiet for lunch on a Friday afternoon late Fall. The view of the Anacostia River is tranquil. The food is average, nothing special. The fries are very very salty.
The outside Fire pit was nice and the Bar being right there even made the night even more fun.
I had the fish and tacos, paired with Apple Cider Mojitos and it was perfect.
I would be going again for more date nights or night out with the fellas.
Love this place! The food and service are always great. My favorite appetizer never disappoints, Warm Crab Doughnuts...they are a must-have when you go! Plus the vibe always feels very grown and sexy!
The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious...crab donuts, mussels appetizer, chowder! Music as nice...varying genre's. Great for date night or dinner with friends.
The Point was amazing. I haven’t had such good service in a long time. My entire party felt very special while dining. Samantha was so awesome! We all will have made plans to go back soon.
Appetizers took too long to come out. Potato was not cooked at all - came out completely raw. Waiter took it off the bill but didn’t offer anything else to substitute. Coffee at the end of the meal was not even warm. We enjoy coming here but tonight was not a good night for us to bring guests.
Server was really nice, apologized 100 times for slow kitchen. This was our Second visit asked for parking validation and they took our parking garage ticket and said they validated it. When leaving their parking garage the ticket is unvalidated. We had to pay for full parking. Perhaps they don’t realize they aren’t validating , but this was our second time eating here so it can’t be a coincidence. They charge a credit card surcharge to pay with credit cards. Seriously! Everything could be better.
Great server and staff. Food was terrific.
Service was not good AT ALL. It was Thanksgiving and they had a special menu. Food just wasn’t fresh tasting at all. We were very disappointed. We had come from out of state and were looking forward to a tasty Thanksgiving. This place was not inexpensive at all so I guess I expected better tasting food and service.
Thanksgiving dinner was great. Food was wonderful. Service was good also. Very busy as expected on thanksgiving. Sat outdoors where it was quiet. Wonderful experience
Went for Thanksgiving meal special. Great tasting choices all around from appetizers to main courses to desserts. Welcoming and friendly service! We definitely will go back.
Seated on the heated outdoor patio with nice views.
Nice alternative to thanksgiving
My family and I came to The Point for a Thanksgiving experience and it was absolutely wonderful. Our server Johnathon was amazing. I left with my belly and heart full. My mom, son and I will return!
The Point DC was a wonderful place to celebrate Thanksgiving Day with friends. The service was excellent as well as the food and the view.
This is the first Thanksgiving for The Point and they got 5 ⭐. The food and service was outstanding and if you can find a restaurant that did it better for a family of four for $175 let me know. Plus, the outside ambiance and the view of the river was great.
Had thanksgiving dinner at the Point. Food was excellent. Good service. It was a sunny day on the patio. Great value for the amount of food and quality. Everything was excellent
Thanksgiving at The Point D.C. was wonderful. We may start a new tradition. The food, service and vibe was everything.
Great food, awesome views, fantastic service. Will be back
Great atmosphere! Excellent service; excellent food. Will definitely go back soon!
Great ambience and the food and drinks were very good. Loved the short ribs!
This was my second time in the same week. The Point is my new favorite spot. I celebrated my Birthday and a random brunch with girlfriends.
The sushi is amazing - huge pieces of Tuna Sashimi. The wood fire oysters and calamari were amazing too. The crab donut is to die for - as a Baltimorean (seafood officiando) I 100% endorse.
Greg (a server) and Samantha the general manager we’re extremely nice and hospitable. I will 1000% be coming back.
1st time here, but definitely not the last. Went for
cocktails, sushi, and appetizers…Evolved to dinner! Zachary/Zarcariah, our server, was AMAZING and provided stellar service. Can’t wait to return.
The food was great, the drinks even better and our server Verta (sp) was the best! Would definitely recommend and would patronize again
We arrived for 3 pm reservation at 2:45. We were given menus for brunch and lunch. Two people ordered from the brunch menu and were told 20 minutes after the order was placed brunch ended at 3 and the brunch item is not available. No where on the website or the menu does it specify this time brunch ends. Additionally, one person requested a bloody mary and was told the place doesn't make those. Then an order for a dirty martini was placed and we were told the bar has no olives. What brunch has no Bloody Mary and what bar has no olives? At 4:50 a frequent customer in the group requested 2 orders of wings to go. We were told the wings are only available at dinner which didn't start until 5. Likewise the same with the raw bar menu on the chalkboard. I have supported The Point since the restaurant opened but this experience was disappointing.
On the water with the best view of a sunset, this is a restaurant not to be missed. The food is super-seafood and especially oysters I am so happy that it is within walking distance. A wonderful addition to SW DC. This will be on my short list for a very long time
Service was great. Love the location. Should have asked that my salmon be cooked to medium… was a bit rare for my taste, but good. Helicopters must have been on training mission.
Food was absolutely spectacular. We loved everything we ordered which consisted of several appetizers, drinks, entrée, and dessert. Service was great - Zach did a great job taking care of us and made us feel like family.
Awesome experience… our sever Jay was amazing.
My first visit was soooo nice that I had to visit twice... Everything has been wonderful during both visits.
I was disappointed to learn that they were out of the short ribs at 4:30 on a Saturday but ordered the burger and it was delicious.
Our server Mozilla was excellent. The oyster appetizer and Branzino was the best. We will definitely return!
Quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in the area. Have been about 3-4 times for brunch but made a dinner reservation for a friend visiting town. Definitely more of a crowd in the evenings. Outdoor seating was comfortable due to the fire pits and outdoor heaters. Service was quick as usual. Generally never have an issue finding street parking, but there is also a garage next door and they also have valet.
The ambiance is amazing. Our server, Anna, was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu selections and prompt.
The food was delicious. The water view was outstanding. We enjoyed our lunch at The Point DC and will definitely be back.
The food at The Point the night we dined there was very good. Appetizers and entrees came promptly out of the kitchen and lived up to the server's description.
The service, on the other hand, was extremely disappointing. When we first arrived, the service was attentive as the restaurant was not busy. As the evening progressed and the restaurant became busier, our server simply disappeared. Once the entrees were served, he did not come by our table again. After sitting for a long period of time trying to get someone's attention to clear the table and get the check, I had to get up and find the server. I know the restaurant is new and hope they are able to address this issue as their operations mature.
This was my third time at The Point and I enjoyed the visit and I can't say the same for my dining partner, the fish she wanted was no longer available even though it was still on the menu and the drink she wanted was unavailable because they didn't have all of the ingredients. My suggestion is to update the menu or have what you say you have when your guests order. Thank you!
