   We had a great time at the Plough In on Ekka showday. They were very busy so the food was slow to come out but we were told there was a 30 minute wait when we ordered. The 8 of us all enjoyed our meals, Beer & Wine.

   We came for the $20 Monday BBQ ribs, and it did not disappoint! The side of coleslaw was fresh! My daughter had the dumplings, my son the fish and chips and everything was cooked beautifully. We sat on the narrow balcony out front and the view of the city at night was amazing. We will be back next time we come to Brisbane!

   We went on a busy day, and I understood the wait time, but when we received our food over an hour after ordering, it was cold. I had been before and had recommended it to my family, so I was a bit upset. Staff were great, and the venue itself was lovely. But disappointed with the food.

    Group of 6 and choose 5 different mains. Chicken salad was tasteful, kids had the chicken parmi and Peri peri chicken burger, said it was good as they demolished it real quick. Fish & chips was good and all meals were of a good size. The medium rump steak was a bit chewy but the mushroom sauce had sliced mushrooms. Atmosphere was loud and busy on a Saturday. Helps to have a reservation before hand.

    Our food was quite tasteless. My sister in- laws duck tasted off too. Not enough bitters in the lemon lime and bitters. Expensive for what you get that's for sure.

    Lovely location and pretty good food and friendly and helpful staff. Pretty good music from the sole performer, but really much too loud, my only real criticism. Ironically someone came out and appeared to measure the sound level but only during the quietest bit of music. Would recommend this place though, but perhaps sit some way away from the bandstand.

    Waited for over an hour and a half for meals. We were told early that there’d be a hour wait, but when we asked an hour later they had forgotten our table and had to rush it through. Not impressed.

    Service was appalling! When we arrived that told us there was a 45 minute wait for food, we were happy to wait this amount of time as we could see they were busy. Our entree arrived after an hour and was cold, main meals including kids meal arrived over an hour and half after we ordered. When we asked for an update from the staff they rolled their eyes at us and shrugged their shoulders like they really didn’t care. Food was just ok, definitely not worth the 1.5 hour wait. Left feeling extremely disappointed and it put a downer on the special occasion we were celebrating.

    Food was really good however missed a couple of drinks and deliver them quite late and also missed some of our food. when asked if we received all the food it was an hour after we received our main meal it was too late

    Great location, well set up for our small gathering. Really enjoyed the balcony section which has the new bar i it after the renovations. We were there on a Saturday for a lunch, food was good, however the bar was understaffed for the whole time we were there 3 hrs. Did take away from the day, otherwise very good.

    We really enjoyed our lunch at The Plough Inn. We were in a large group and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, out of our group of 12, four people received their meals when most of the others had finished. The food was worth waiting for though, it was so good. We were disappointed that the coffee machine was broken as we all met early to enjoy a coffee before lunch. This was not to be. All the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. We will be back.

    A good place for a few drinks but unfortunately the food was pretty average. Even a basic chicken parma was not done very well. Way too much cheese and undercooked chicken. Staff were friendly and efficient. Something needs to be done about the vermin ibis walking around the restaurant and defecating everywhere. THis really spoilt our afternoon.

    Not enough staff for the amount of people in the venue. Took nearly 20 minutes for our first drinks and we had to ask for them to arrive and then 10 minutes for next drinks to arrive.

    Not a lot of GF options on the menu but the fish of the day (barramundi with green curry sauce, potato, broccolini) was excellent. Should be on a regular menu. I’d have it every time.

    We made a booking but were given the WORST table in the pub upstairs around a corner with huge amounts of traffic to the loo. We asked to be moved after 5 minutes, or would cancel our reservation. A VERY supportive young staff member found us a MUCH better seat so we stayed and enjoyed a wonderful meal.

    This was the first time we ate at the The Plough Inn. What a great experience. We were with a group of friends and we all enjoyed the live music and the food was fantastic. The kids service was quick and great. We will surely come again.

    Plough Inn Southbank has a great welcoming experience with awesome food, excellent range of drinks, plenty of areas to pull up a seat. Very relaxed environment, for those who can’t leave there paw friends at home it’s also pet friendly.

    Have been going to the Plough Inn many times over 20+ years and have always had a very good experience here, service and food wise. I'm not a fan of the Digital Menu that the Plough has adopted, like so many others. Would much prefer the older style menu. Also take offence of being charged a fee for using a debit/credit card. Only this place that does, and we frequent many clubs, Pubs and Restaurants.

    It was good, we made a booking for 12 people however when we arrived there were people sitting on our table. There was no assistance from staff to move the ring ins so we just let them sit there and made do with the space we had left by squishing our chairs together. Food was good and service was quick for a busy night.
