My son’s 21st birthday. We had a small outlive, almost like our own room. Everything was great.
Offensive display of a defaced American flag, sharpie writing all across it, hung prominently on the wall. Don’t understand that at all.
Service was mediocre. Brioche buns on menu show up as basic roll. Crab cake mostly filler.
Upside was pork sandwich. Very good. And where else can you get turtle soup?
Overall Not what I remembered.
Delicious food from soups to sandwiches. Werner was so friendly.
Haley was the BEST!!!
Food was almost inedible. Huge American flag in main dining area. Is. Desecrated!
Took my mom to lunch for her birthday and we loved it. The food was fantastic, our server was fantastic and the ambiance was fantastic. Will definitely go back.
Quick, courteous service, yummy food
Food was delicious. Service was not great but definitely short staffed. First time ordering the ribs and they were tender and so good. Can’t wait to order them again.
Great food. Wonderful service. Menu limited compared to prior to COVID but still appropriate.
Would’ve preferred all the staff wear masks.
Great find. Came in late and they were out of my main dish, but my second choice was phenomenal. Can’t wait to go back.
New Year’s Eve! Who runs out of food at 6pm on New Year’s Eve??? Our poor waitress was so frustrated! She constantly had to come back to our table with additional items they no longer were serving! I would have gone to another restaurant if I thought this would be the case! Very disappointed!!!
The atmosphere was nice, and so was the waitress. However the food staff definitely needs more training. I know everyone is understaffed these days, but it’s no excuse for a raw steak, burnt pizza and getting main entrees completely wrong. We even asked for bread to tide the kids over while they made food, and they never brought it out.
Again I know things are tough but the manager needs to get the cooks and food service workers up to par.
All this and still a $200 check as well! So they increase prices and decrease accuracy and satisfaction. It’s really a shame. Not a great way to celebrate New Year’s Eve…
We love Pineville Tavern. But Wednesday night they were out of two items we wanted to order (and they were not specials). More troubling, however, was the fact that with the Omicron variant roaring through our area, our waitress still was not wearing a mask. And because the noise level in the dining room (low ceilings) was so loud, she had to lean very close to us to get our orders. It made us all uncomfortable. When dining, we can’t wear masks. But the wait staff definitely should as a courtesy and as a protection to themselves and others. Hope management there will get wise, or the spread will hit home there. Thanks.
Good cocktails, our server was attentive. Always a good meal. They were out of some items, including a bun for my burger! but made genuine attempt to accomodate. With Covid, we didn't hold it against them.
The food was amazing, our server was exceptional and very sweet. Highly recommend this place, so glad it was a random find for us, you will definitely see us again!
Would have been much better if the food was done the way asked , little cheaper excellent service, it's not your pineville tavern anymore
Always a great experience. Cozy corner table near the bar.
Excellent food and service. Our server was great.
Good food! Great atmosphere! Will be coming back soon.
Party of 4. My chicken tasted old. Pasta bland, Pork, dry, Chicken parm was just ok
Drinks too, 250.00
Have been coming for years. Taking a break
The food and bartender service was very good. The reservation was for 6:30 and we never got seated. I understand it was Christmas and probably Pineville was short staffed, however the hostess did not check in with us about delays or when seat would be available.
Christmas dinner and they were completely under staffed. The servers were great under the circumstances. Everybody was nice and the food was ok
Our waitress and all the staff did such a great job. They had two callouts on Christmas night. We have been going to the Pineville for years and will continue. Hopefully people understand what the service industry is going through. Thank you to all the people that show up to serve their customers. Be patient and understanding with longer, they’re doing the best they can!
Christmas dinner rez for 5:15. The Hostess sat us close to 5:30 with profuse apologies and a head's up warning they were severely understaffed due to call-outs of several staff members that day. We were prepared to settle in and put our patience pants on. Luckily, we didn't arrive starving, and just by observing our surroundings, we were able to empathize with the situation almost immediately. There was one young waitress who had the responsibility for seemingly all the tables in the tavern, and maybe a couple also in the main dining room. With only one Busboy, some patrons sat with piled plates, clearly finished with their meals, but unable to go anywhere because the poor waitress couldn't bring a check due to being tied up elsewhere. The energy in the room shifted to lighter spirits when the Christmas football game was put on the televisions. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed, apologized repeatedly, but she never lost her cool demeanor, and we told her not to worry. Obviously, it is a privilege to go out to dinner on Christmas Day, and those that work at establishments that are open should be thanked and appreciated. The Christmas menu had something for all of us. The salmon, baked ham (2 huge slices to our son's delight, since I decided not to cook this year) sirloin, and their signature Million Dollar Burger all tasted great. The baked brie and jam appetizer was exactly what we needed to hold us over until the main dishes made it out, it was so good. We dined for nearly 3 hours, had a memorable Christmas dinner, and the rice pudding, creme Brule, chocolate cake and after dinner drinks left us very happy. Thank you Pineville for a wonderful Christmas dinner. We have made Pineville our go-to for many holidays over the years, and will always come back!
Good food and service. While it was a busy evening and they were down a few staff members, the service was still attentive and our appetizers and entrees were timed well.
Server initially was a little slow to get to our table but things went down hill quickly from there. Our first drink order (which we placed at the same time as our food order) arrived minutes before our food did. I watched while our server was darting between the order kiosk and the kitchen - don't know the reason why - while our drinks sat at the bar ready for pickup. When our food was served I asked our server for ketchup and ice for my wife's wine - she never returned? I was forced to visit the bar after that for drink refills. Another server came along after we sat for a considerable length of time after we were done eating and presented us with the check and an apology - really!!!! We've been there several times before but I'll be hard pressed to go back. Where was management during all this??? We were not the only ones there that fell upon this misfortune.
We had Christmas dinner here; very very disappointing. First off, the food was bad. My partner’s soup was terrible, it tasted like dirty dishwater.
My daughter’s Caesar salad smelled sour, the cheese was bad, I think. It was just awful.
The ham was just ok.
Our server was very busy, the hostess said there isn’t enough help, so it took a while to get things we ordered.
I will never go back
Christmas Eve with my daughter was very nice. Lunch was delicious. We were in the back dining room. This restaurant really feels historic. Of course the snapper soup is outstanding. I’m sure we will be back.
The food and the service was wonderful!! One LITTTLE thing they could do to improve things, make sure there steak knifes that the patrons use are SHARP.
Good food and service. Would recommend to others for lunch and dinner
I took my family for dinner Christmas Eve. Have been wanting to come in and try the food. The service was wonderful. The young lady was very attentive and just the nice tone in her voice and expression, she seemed to genuinely what to make the experience as pleasant as possible. I really appreciated that and for me, it added to the experience. The food was very good. There were no vegetarian options. The one scallop dish was pricy for 4 large scallops. Would have liked more vegetable options besides potatoes, pasta and creamed spinach. I enjoyed that we had a table reserved and that it was in a corner for less exposure. Others were seated next to us. We enjoyed the experience and I would come again for lunch. Enjoyed the decor and atmosphere very much. Cozy.
Had a great time dining on our 3rd Christmas Eve here. Always good food and good service!
Always enjoy their homemade ravioli!
Beautiful historic restaurant/tavern. Very classy. Standard fare. Food is good. Service is great. Lovely people. Good restaurant for a nice occasion (birthday, xmas, anniversary, etc.).
We love Pineville Tavern and go there often. We realize with the pandemic how understaffed restaurants are. Our waitress was trying really hard and we appreciated it. Our food was delicious as always but we were shocked at the rise in prices. Pandemic again
We wish restaurants all the best n will continue to support you.
Service was slow, but likely due to COVID and staffing issues. Restaurant was fairly full, and it seemed our server was covering multiple rooms and tables. Food was good but the Bronzino we ordered could have been filleted prior to serving rather than bringing the whole fish.
We visited the Pineville Tavern for the first time last night. We had a reservation and we were seated quickly. The waitress came to the table promptly to take drink orders, but very slow in returning to take our meal orders. It was very busy in the restaurant and clearly we were not a priority. Service was not terrible, but not what I expected. The food was just mediocre. The sauce from the ravioli tasted like it came from a jar, albeit a more expensive jar than Ragu, but still — not worth the money. The crab cake was good. It was a very unique building and I loved the history behind it.
The scallops were gross and $36 for four of them was too high, Italian pork wasn't Italian and the service us unenthusiastic and slow.
Service was great! Our server was the best! (Fran) Food was very good and the cheese steak egg rolls were yummy!! Will definitely be back!
Matt our server was awesome. Pasta is homemade and delicious. We really enjoyed everything (cheesesteak egg rolls, potato skins, penne with peas/prosciutto, chicken parm, filet)… it was all delicious - there were 7 of us dining. This is a place we will be back!
Thought it was a little overpriced. Caesar sald didn’t taste like Caesar dressing? My crab cake was very good. Service was ok, never offered water or bread or got silverware. I wouldn’t go back
