Great service, cocktails and dessert. Server was personable.
Porch table was small but comfortable. Neighborhood was busy with walkers, which was pleasant. Restaurant across the street was busy as well. Entrees were very good (tuna and scallops). Will definitely return.
The seating is limited, with a modern/industrial design. Unfortunately, it was our first visit and we were seated near the bathrooms, service bar, and pathway to the kitchen. There were flies and fruit flies bothering us ….tough to combat at this time of year with doors opening & closing, but still. We tried to order 3 or 4 different wines, but they were out. Found one eventually. Also out of McClellan12 scotch, so went with Glenlivet. Food was ok…though everything seemed to have the same spice level. Calamari and octopus appetizers were overcooked.
Our server, Evelina, was terrific. Great smile, attentive without being pushy. We requested a delay between appetizers and salad/entree course, & even though it was busy, she accommodated our request with a smile. She actually was the highlight of our visit.
I’m assuming that some of the issues are due to staffing and supply shortages.
Excellent will be back!
One of the best meals and experiences we have had in Rehoboth! Thanks to your entire team! Great evening with great friends.
Excellent meal and service. Will be returning soon!
Lindsey was our waitress and was a pleasure..sold out of short rib stroganoff by 630p need to make sure that doesn’t happen
The place is in the heart of the dining district in Rehoboth on Baltimore Ave. The staff is extremely friendly even though they were really backed up that night. They were attentive and nice. The place has a multiple variety of seating: outdoor, indoor and upstairs. When you sit outdoors, you can feel the vibe from other restaurants and bars around which is pretty cool! I got the Peach Borratta salad and it was delicious and refreshing! Very well balanced and the dressing works perfectly with the arugula and cheese to create a perfect tanginess with hint of sweetness. Their specialty: the Beef stroganoff is outstanding! The meat is perfectly shredded to mix with the pasta and that dash of cream on top was the perfect addition! The only one thing I didn't like was the dessert. The chocolate cake was dry and too dense. All around it is a perfect place to go to in the beautiful Rehoboth beach!
Damien and Jenna are true professionals
Jenna’s service was friendly and attentive.
We had a great meal! The burger is awesome!
Our dinner and experience both top notch. We had to wait for our table reservation and the staff/host, were so thoughtful during our wait. They kept coming to us as we waited at the bar to update us on when our table would be ready. They went above and beyond! In addition we had a mix up on the drink special and the manager was so accommodating. Lastly, our dinner was deeeeelicious. We will be back again VERY soon. Thank you for your kindness to the host staff, waitstaff(Sarah) and bartender(Rich).
Great food, price and service
Welcoming, efficient service, and great tasting food! The decore has been updated since opening three years ago and the front porch is a perfect place to dine if you prefer to sit outside. Two must-try starter items- the fried green tomatoes and the wedge salad! My husband had the smash burger and I had the spaghetti squash primavera for dinner and both were outstanding. It's hard not to fill up on the starter bread because it is fantastic!
We were very happy to learn The Pines will remain open seven days a week in the off-season.
We quite enjoyed our meal at The Pines. However, if you want to sit outside, beware there is a very loud bar across the street. It didn't really bother us, but I could see how it might others.
They also made the odd choice of seating their only two tables right next to each other, next to the door to their upstairs bar. Perhaps the other end of the porch would be a better starting point!
As far as food goes, their portions are reasonable and well prepared. My flank steak we slightly over, but not worth quibbling over. My son loved his scallops and my wife enjoyed her shrimp and grits.
The Pines is always our go to at the beach. The owners have done a fantastic job of making every guest welcome and the food and drinks are amazing. The staff are always friendly and willing to make sure you have the best experience possible. Five stars!!!
Really enjoyed our recent dinner at the Pines. Their new menu is such an improvement. Many choices that would satisfy just about any taste.
Food is very good. Fairly priced. Service is outstanding. Ask for Evalina. She’s a fantastic server and will make the experience even better
One of the owners is on site every day
Service was fantastic.
Mike behind the bar makes a great martini
Service was great, food was tasty, and dinner did not break the bank. Four of us went and we all loved our appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Plus, the house cocktail and wine list is interesting and a good value. It was a birthday celebration and definitely birthday worthy. A new Go To place in Rehoboth!
Food and service were outstanding!
Hostess seemed annoyed as though she didn’t have my reservation. We were seated at a six top floating in the middle of the room. The food was mediocre and lacked any finesse.
We've heard many great things about The Pines and couldn't wait to try it. I'll start by saying my food was fantastic -- I had the fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits. soooo good. I also had the sparkling rose paloma -- not worth $14....plain and boring. Not worth it. My husband had the flank steak but his side portions were minimal. He had food envy for my dinner! What was troublesome is we had made a reservation for 6:15pm outdoors. There were about 8 tables on the porch, two of which had guests. We were sat right next to the service door that slammed loudly every time someone passed through -- which was every few minutes --- and I was nearly hit the first time a server passed through -- plus she acted shocked that someone was there. (Yeah, tell me about it.) It was incredibly disruptive and we kindly asked to move once our server arrived as this was not the experience we were expecting at a restaurant of this caliber. Even with 3 other available 2-tops (yes, 3!!!) the server expressed concerns about us moving as "there were other reservations." What about our reservation? We had one too. To be quite honest, it offensive that they deemed us the couple to put in the crappy table. It ended with her saying "well if you can finish by 7:15pm when the next reservation arrives, then you can move." My husband calmed responded with, "Did the other three couples specifically requests those specific tables? Why can't the another reservation sit here? " The server couldn't answer that question. So clearly no. She ended up letting us move, but it didn't feel good. Was it because we are in our 30s? Shove them in the corner? We were dressed appropriately, arrived on time, only showed kindness but were still deemed unworthy. I worked as a server for 5 summers in a hospitably driven town. I know it's not easy but I did serve every diner with respect. Thank goodness the food was fabulous or this would be a 2 Star review.
Now that the season is slowing down dining in town Rehoboth is more pleasant. Noise level was lower and more seats were available. There were delicious special items on the menu.
Fun spot for outdoor dining. Great vegetarian options, lovely porch, friendly service, and even got to enjoy some live flamenco music from across the street.
Great go-to place! The food and service are great and friendly and we'll definitely be back
We love dining at the Pines! Our server Evelina was awesome! The food is always outstanding! We will certainly return when in Rehoboth again.
Great food and service
My tuna carpaccio was excellent as well as the 10oz fillet . Bread is exceptional . Service was great
Too expensive. Flank steak portion was good for a child
First time there. Great service, food was delicious, and they take reservations. We will be back.
Sat outside, nice set up. Food was very flavorful and presented nicely on the plate.
Very nice food
Damien, a manager I believe couldn’t have been more gracious and accommodating in helping us with our reservation for outdoor seating. Our Waitress Evalinna, who we have had before, was just awesome. She is meticulous and so friendly making sure every little thing was just as we like. We are grateful that the Pines manages to find such quality people in these uncertain times. The food is so delicious and we have made The Pines one of our must go to stops when dining out with friends and family!
The menu looked like it was very thought out with the use of seasonal items incorporated prominently. The execution, presentation were delightful and the items sublime
Wonderful place for a special occasion! We love The Pines!
We walked out. We were seated outside by a very nice waiter and placed our order The sun moved and was now in my eyes so I asked the server who brought our salad if we could move to another table. There are 6 or 7 tables outside and only one other was occupied. The server said that she had to ask the hostess if it was okay because there were a lot of reservations; she said she would be right back. A few minutes later our waiter came out and we told him we wanted to move because of the sun. He said that he had to ask because there were a lot of reservations. A few minutes later our waiter and someone else from the restaurant were outside looking over the situation and talking. We had enough when they went inside without coming over to us. I can’t understand why we couldn’t immediately be moved to another table for 2. There were 2 empty tables for 2. When we told our waiter that we were leaving he still didn’t say that we could move. We would have moved inside if we had to. Again, I can’t understand why we weren’t moved immediately.
They ran out of the scallops! Bummer
Staff couldn’t be nicer. Lovely place setting and then one exquisite course after another. Divine watermelon gazpacho, heavenly focaccia, beautiful calamari and cauliflower appetizers, fresh made hummus with wonderful texture. Loved the shrimp and grits and stroganoff.
