Instantly popular with cakes, coffees and some favourite drinks The Pier Café is fully licensed. Expect indulgent Greek classics; delicious fresh seafood dishes and, of course, some decadent home-made cakes & desserts.
The meals were both large and of a high standard. The deconstructed Souvlakia was particularly enjoyable. The service was also both warm and friendly, we will return and would highly recommend it for an enjoyable lunch with friends.
The food was excellent the seafood platter was cooked to perfection and the variety of desserts great. The decor was rather white and a little clinical but the service was very good.
Fantastic staff and food recommend it to everyone. 😃
The food was hot and enjoyable being a hot day it was cooler inside than outside. Some complained about splitting the bill. Service was great and I will come back
Great customer service and very quick. The food was delicious and the desserts were even better. Can’t wait to come back😃
A lovely casual atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff. The food was fresh and well cooked
Great range of Greek desserts. Excellent
Food was tasteless except for the tzatziki. Definitely not recommend
Always eat here and love it. They are so good to my son also! Thank you guys
Great food, great wine, great service, good value
Only suggestion would be to offer a smaller option for the set menu - the food was great just way to much for smaller eaters
Being a local I cannot understand why I have not been to The Pier before. Staff were lovely and efficient and food was excellent. Highlight for my granddaughter was the Nutella Waffle...yummy. We will definitely be back
Food was great.
But when u have a bill of $380 and they charge extra for u to use an eftpos card I think that’s a bit much
If you are looking for good Greek food with a Greek vibe and a Greek atmosphere this is NOT the place to go. Not one Greek waiter that I recall and I doubt even the chef was Greek. The only thing that saved this place was the Greek deserts at the end of the night. Unfortunately I won't be going back to The Pier Café.....So much potential.
Met a friend for a catch up lunch.
Enjoyable food and reasonably priced. Only draw back the restaurant was a bit cold. Will come back.
Divine food. Friendly service. Beautiful atmosphere and authentic Greek (very reasonably priced) desserts.
Have dined here 3 or 4 times recently however last Saturday the meal has not to same level as previous times.
Lacking in flavour and maybe smaller in size had the Gyros Plate . wife had Seafood Marinara and she was not happy with that also believing taste was different.
Disappointing considering last visits were good especially when you pay $100.00 for meal.
Great service only thing wished all main meals to come together.
Food was lovely. Service was great even though restaurant was full
We had an enjoyable time at this restaurant and the food quality was good. It was unfortunate that some of the lunch time offerings (eg. mousakka) are not offered for dinner. The Greek music was great, but later that night they had a band that was not very good. Would much have preferred the recorded Greek music continued. It would also be great if the gyros plate came with some salad. It was quite expensive at $29.00, so should have some Greek salad come with it rather than having to order that as an addition.
Great food, good location, friendly and efficient service. Really enjoyable dining experience. Thanks
Second time and will definitely be back.
Very reasonable pricing with the set menu very nice servings, staff exceptionally friendly would definitely recommend to anyone.
Great food and very friendly staff.
Highly recommend this venue.
Totally appalled with the service. Owner quickly came to us on arrival to tried to sell his cocktails.
Police parked outside doing alcohol and drug testing we declined the drinks. Ordered food it came after 25 minutes. They then took my husbands plate away immediately while I was still eating. We we’re not even asked for a top up of drinks. Waitresses walked past us so many times.
We were put in the middle of the restaurant on Saturday night where we froze. They didn’t give us a desert menu or offered coffee. We got up and left. I will never go back.
The lights need to be turned down a little too bright.....very loud but food and staff fantastic
The best calamari we have eaten in a long time lovely and tender. Will keep going back just for that.
Staff absolutely lovely, food was great and well priced. Really enjoyed our night out here. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone on the pensinula.
The cafe had a clean and bright appearance, staff were friendly and attentive. The food was cafe as distinct from restaurant quality. In summary a nice place but a cafe not a restaurant.
The banquet is definitely value for money and yummy we left not wanting another thing and the service staff are very friendly and welcoming
The entire experience of being at The Pier Cafe was first class.
Our French customer service waitress was an absolute delight and complemented our overall experience.
We will most certainly revisit.
Good night out at a place the close by
Very nice indeed. Good food, good service, pleasant staff
Nice food, nice atmosphere, well priced.
We ordered seafood and gyros platter (the latter with Greek salad) to share between four.
Unfortunately the Greek salad came with the seafood (which we didn't realise), leaving insufficient salad for the gyros. Gyros had very small amounts of chips and bread relative to the meat.
Either the food needs to be better balanced or the person taking the order needs to inform you more about what you are going to get.
Great food, very good and friendly service. A real neighbourhood gem.
We stopped by for a simple, shared lunch and found the staff friendly and the service very good.
A shared platter and some drinks was shared and all is well!
Firstly, let me say that I have been to the Pier Cafe many times and the food has always been outstanding!!! It has a great vibe and friendly atmosphere. The service has always been very good, but pretty stretched when they are busy, but that's understandable. On my last visit, we were a group of 5 and decided to go with the set menu at $45.00 p/p. The first course of dips, 4 dollops and 8 pieces of pita bread, 1 triangle of Saganaki and a tiny plate of small pieces of octopus arrived. As my friends had dined there the week before, and had the same set menu for 6, he questioned as to whether there was more coming as they had received double the amount, but was told that it was correct. The owner attempted to explain the reason behind the difference between 6 and 5 people, but we couldn't make any sense of it!! He did say that for 3-5 people it's one, 6-8 it's two. So, one extra person, and we would have received two of everything. Try cutting one piece of saganaki between 5 people, and only 8 bits of pita for 5??? In all fairness, our waitress ordered us more pita, at no charge, as we still had dips left on our platter. The other courses, seafood and meats were ok, but the seafood platter was full of white bait, which were delicious, but we felt were a filler to make the plate look full!! The meat platter looked substantial, but when you removed the larger items, the gyros meat was minimal, but there were big chunky pieces of potatoes, which I love, so gave up my meat to the men and had extra potatoes!! All in all, I cannot fault the quality and taste of the food and we will definitely be going back, but, unless we have a booking of 6, we won't be going with the set menu again. We'll just order our own and share!! We did go away satisfied, but at $45.00, we could of, at least, been given 2 pieces of pita per person, and a larger piece of cheese to divvy up!! We all agreed that the set menu, in our case, was not good value for money.
We booked a table online received a confirmation and yet when we arrived there was no record of our booking. The restaurant manager looked totally stressed and overwhelmed and couldn’t explain why he didn’t have a table for us, I suspect they don’t check their online bookings so my advice is to ring to book or go elsewhere as they weren’t very friendly despite their error.
We went to the Pier for dinner with a group of 7. We had a 2 children with us. The food was delicious and the service from our waitress was fabulous. Very friendly.
Limited but effective breakfast menu had one vegan with us he was accomodated OK but very limited
We really enjoyed our meal but suggest that when you order your meal check if it comes with chips or salad as you may need to order them as sides. It would be an excellent place for coffee and greek cakes at any time. They don't split the bill so bring some change along if that is your preference.
It was great for the 1st time we went here, they should have put Greek music on. To blend in with the Atmosphere, That is all,
