We are a food focused pub and restaurant offering generous and genuine hospitality from the walls of a historic building.
Head chef Molly Fuge brings local and international flavours together with classic pub dishes like The Petrel Cheeseburger and Lemon Herb Crumbed Snapper + Chips. Glazed Beef Skewers with Mango Chimichurri are already a house staple, Oysters shucked to order with pomegranate granita and a perfect Lamb Rump sits atop heirloom tomatoes, black olive and green beans await you!
Join us in our light filled dining room dressed with paintings and treasures that nod to Australian pubs and county homes. Scallops and croquettes were a delicious entree. Snapper and duck for mains were very good. Servers need to coordinate so they don’t ask for drinks when they’ve already been ordered. Didn’t like being rushed out because we had an earlier booking.

The food and service was as usual excellent. The Petrel is a great place to have a meal and its not pub food its much better. I've been a number of times with different groups and never failed to impress.

Pleasantly surprised by how busy the pub was on a Tuesday! We all ordered the snitzel and it was the best I’ve had in years! Service and atmosphere was great! I look forward to visiting again soon.

It was cosy on a cold day. The wood fire was burning. Delicious food. Attentive staff but they did not notice we needed cutlery when they bought our second course. Overall I will certainly return.

Best pub meal our entire table have had in years! From the chicken schnitzel to the crochets & kids meals - we couldn’t fault anything. We will certainly be back & bravo to the female head chef - you go girl! ✨👏🏻

Outstanding service by 2 superstar girls. What a lovely change to have such bubbly professional fabulous staff serving us. From the minute we walked in until the end when we paid. I wish I had of had your names. Our oysters were delish and super fresh. Barramundi was cooked to perfection. The pasta with prawn dish was also excellent. We will be back very soon.
