lobster meat, crme frache, and Dry Sack Sherry
Shallots, Mushrooms, Fresh and Sun-Dried Tomatoes, White Wine, Florio Dry Marsala Wine and Basil
Had to beg for wine we ordered to be brought to table. Arrived after the appetizer! Steak much lower quality than we are accustomed to, lots of fat and gristle on $109 strip steak. If they're going to serve meat of this poor a quality, then they need to supply sharper steak knives.
It’s COVID... so ambience is strange everywhere
I ordered a $60 steak, what was present was a terrible hockey puck. Other food came as normal for the other 3 in my party. It was good. My steak came out 20 mins later. It was good, sides were all cold at that point
Great birthday dinner!
In spite of having a reservation, we waited 25 minutes to be seated, after which we waited 15 minutes to get water and menus. Still more waiting for our server to arrive and take drink orders. By now you probably get my point. The service was soooooo slow. This was a Tuesday night after Labor Day. We’re not rushing back.
I ho to the Palm alot, in NYC. I was looking forward to going to this location in Easthampton, but I was disappointed. Our waiter was very nice but took long time to take our order and then they were out of rib eye (what? Isn't this a steak house). The menunwas different from all the other Palm locations and the service in total was not what I'm use to. I hear the Pal was bought by a company...i.hope this is not what the Pal will be like in NYC once it opens again otherwise I will have to fine a different restaurant to get my steak dinners...Hey Palm 🌴 do better.
Terrible service. In a corner and forgotten. We had to keep waving our arms in the air to try to get someone’s attention all evening. Perhaps if one ordered steak, food would be acceptable. But as each one of us ordered other things, it was terribly disappointing. Not the old Bozzi Palm that we knew and loved.
Food is not on the level of the price. Steaks are thin for the price tag of over $50.
Food was great. Service was S L O W. Took 20 mins to get our bottle of wine. Been here before but due to COVID, they are not organized to handle the dinner crowd.
Saturday night dinner late Aug 2020 with family. Completely disappointed. Figured Palm would be a reliable option considering NYC locations always good but not the case in East H. Food sucked. NY strip was below average and had no taste. Salads were bland and mediocre at best. Overpriced crap.
Sat on the front, enclosed porch. Tables are spaced out and servers wearing masks.
Drinks were very good, salads delicious. Pricey, but a nice treat once a year.
As an alternative to their known high- end beef, we had the Lobster for 2 special, seated within their gorgeous outdoor garden space (during pandemic times).
The service, ambience and food were all outstanding.
The legendary Carrot Cake for dessert was the perfect finale.
Great food, great service, fairly priced. Will definitely return soon.
We used to love The Palm. Since new ownership and reopening after Covid 19, the quality has deteriorated. Service spotty
New ownership sucks. Totally different restaurant
They didn’t have enough staff so the waiters were running ragged and couldn’t provide good service
They had one main waiter fit the entire garden area
He was working hard and did the best he could
I wouldn’t go back
The food was good, but the service was terrible. There were not that many tables, and the waiter still struggled.
Everything was sub par. Would not be dining here again. 2nd time back gave it another chance from my past bad experience. I was not happy with the food or drinks. Order was brought out incorrectly and not rectified.
Elegant, high end dining w/o being stuffy. Outdoor dining needs to be requested with a phone call (this wasn’t mentioned when reserving online:( Expensive but good. Filets, lamb chops and crab cakes outstanding. Slight mixup when serving med-rare w/o butter and medium cooked filets with butter. Not a deal breaker though. Have been there 3 times. All enjoyable experiences
Dinner last night at The Palm was excellent. Note that the community appears to still be ironing out kinks related to staffing, outdoor seating and wait times (our reservation was for 8:30 and we were seated at 9:15). That said, the delay was meaningless when compared to the excellent food and service. Outdoor seating was beautiful and romantic. Having eaten at the Palm midtown, this was an amazing extension of that experience.
Waited over an hour for our food. It never arrived. Poor service. Particularly in these times when we try to support our local restaurants
Ate outside for the first time......they should dress it up a bit with plants, sculpture, and lighting. Not the same old Palm, but we'll take it for now. Sheila is now he backbone of the place!!!
Great Staff wish that they had more old Palm items on the menu, such as Baked Clams. And the Gigi salad.
This restaurant should not be called The Palm
because it isn’t! The Palm we knew doesn’t exist!!
Will say we had very good service and tables were
spaced appropriately, food was horrible, half baked
rolls instead of the pumpernickel & onion rolls,
Hashed brown potato’s were listed as a special &
Uneatable, lamb chops had so much fat on them!
asked for Gorgonzola dressing for salad was thin &
Will never return, have lost and old & true restaurant!
great service , food amazing and another quality dinner. tables were perfect social distanced love the palm
The Palm which was recently sold isn’t the same Palm. The food was the problem not the wait staff or the COVID-19 restrictions. The Veal Parm was inedible, we set it back and it was removed from the bill. The hash brown potatoes which is a signature dish wasn’t offered. Another signature dish Shrimp Bruno lacked the mustard flavor which defined the dish. I’ve been going to the Palm for over 50 years so I hope they get it figured out before it’s too late.
Went there Friday for an evening out with Friends and to celebrate my wife’s birthday. At the time of the reservation I called the Palm. I specifically asked two things 1) Are they running the Lobster special and 2) please put a candle in a cheesecake for my wife. When we were seated, the waiter started with the I don’t know if we have the special attitude and started the upcharge nonsense. I made it clear I spoke to management who said they did have the special. After ordering, no one came by to fill our water or check on us throughout the night. We ordered the lobster special and a double steak medium rare. We had to ask several times for water. The lobster was fine but the steak was cooked medium well. Finally, the cake came and it was not a cheesecake. Very disappointed with the fact that I asked for one special thing and they could not do it. When I told the waiter, he ran away and then dropped the check on the table. No one ever came by to ask how our meal was. This is not how you earn repeat customers.
So very disappointed.
Not the palm I know and love
They lost it
Overall, very expensive, mediocre food and sloppy service. Ordered a .4 pound lobster (to share). No bibs, no lemon, no shell crackers. BTW, if that was a 4 pound lobster, I’ll eat my hat! Sides (Brussel sprouts and fries) were $16 each. Not only we’re they much smaller than they used to be, the sprouts were just plain boring. Would not go back.
Food was awesome. I love the location and have gone there for years. Service was OK. They were busy so I was patient with food etc. But when I made it clear we didn’t want desert and wanted the check I felt I was being held hostage there. Overall good experience and will continue to return!
My wife and I ordered the crab cakes and were completely disappointed.
There was no discernible crab. The mixture was a paste of breadcrumbs and some unidentifiable filler which appeared to have been heated in a microwave. It was like eating a fish paste.
We asked the waitress if the dish was microwaved and she told us it was from the oven. I doubt that.
When my wife left most of her meal on the plate, no one asked if there was something wrong with the meal, they just ignored it.
Shame on you Palm
No one does a lobster stuffed with crabmeat better!!! Always on the mark.
But...... wish the bread did not come out COLD . Too bad they to not have something or someone in the back of the house to do this. Most fine steakhouse restaurants do.
Otherwise a great experience.
What a GREAT Birthday Dinner!!!! I wanted lobster on a Thursday night in the winter in East Hampton. Seemed to be a little too much of a Birthday Wish until we chose The Palm. A three-pound steamed lobster, served out of the shell, with a huge baked potato and Brussels Sprouts!! I was in heaven. Thank you, Palm East Hampton, for making my birthday wonderful !!!
When it's really busy...service can be slow. The Palm is the only true steak house in East Hampton.
Service was terrible! We didn’t even have a designated waiter, just had random people attend to us when we asked. Filled our own wine glasses, no one ever checked in on us, our “waitress” who took our order didn’t know the menu. Service was really surprisingly terrible, which is a shame as we looked forward to coming here.
Food was great though. Entrees are huge so I’d recommend actually splitting something with a couple sides. We way over ordered, which was partially on us but also bc, again, the waitress didn’t know the menu.
As always a superior meal in a very pleasant traditional setting with good service. As always it also comes at a price, but it was well worth it.
I have no idea how this place has such high ratings on google. Felt like a somewhat upscale TGIF’s or a really hectic terminal at an airport. Had an 8:00pm reservation and didn’t get seated till almost 9:00pm, extremely loud. The food was mediocre at best and was very expensive. Totally overrated.
We have never been disappointed, great service, great food all plusses
Was our valentines dinner. Restaurant was packed like sardines - I had two different parties backed up against my chair. Service was slow. Very noisy. Food was mediocre and very overpriced.
