   Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, good food with that home cooked with love touch. I thought it was a little expensive but others commented what good value it was. For seniors, there is 15% off, every meal on the menu when you show your seniors/ pension card. (Although I couldn’t see this clearly written on the menu). They also serve an amazing bowl of vegetables with roast potatoes that isn’t printed on the menu, but it is my favourite, along with satay chicken skewer (4) entree and that delicious tirimisu.    Everything depends on what you order. Three people from our table of five ordered the flathead fillets and absolutely love them. Another one ordered the lamb and it was sensational. And because I felt like fresh vegetables I ordered the stir-fry pork with prawns. What I got was vegetables and prawns that have been soaking in a large amount of liquid for what seems to be hours. The vegetables were soft as were the prawns. There was far too much sauce and I was glad I ordered a side of rice which was also quite gluggy. I was extremely disappointed with my meal however the others really enjoyed theirs. The service was excellent and although it was noisy because it was busy we thought we had a great table right at the end and were able to talk.

   I booked the dinning room for our luncheon as it was somewhat of an occasion for our family. I was exceedingly disappointed with the timing of our meals, 5 meals arrived at the table very promptly but the final meal arrived as everyone else was finishing. I did not feel this was worthy of the 15% surcharge.

    Think twice before going to the Old E on ANZAC day. Everything is good as usual but there wasn’t enough servicing and cooking staff for the small amount of patrons plus 15 % surcharge as well.
