Your attention to detail and kindness was unsurpassed. Our children had a wonderful time too! Many thanks for a fabulous lunch!
Superb food and service. This was my second visit. Unfortunately customer numbers were down due to the Coronavirus. The pre-theatre 3 course menu including a glass of champagne at £32 is very reasonably priced. The only quibble I have is that the wine list - which is excellent and wide ranging - does not have even one bottle that is in a similar price range to the pre theatre menu.
First of all, the food was really nice. I had the Grilled Chicken Paillard and my partner had Fillet of Lake District Farm Beef. Both of the meats were really good and very well cooked. The finishing sauces that the waiter kindly poured on for us, was the final touch. To finish we both had the Tartlet for dessert and it was really lush and the presentation was a 9 out 10.
However I do believe they could have held back a little with the Rocket Leaves, I felt that there was a lot and they could have taken off a little bit. But someone else may have a different opinion to me. Also when I booked the table there was an option for 14:30 reservation, I chose that because it was convenient for my travel to North Hall. However, as we choosing our dishes, we did get a little rushed by the waiter saying we need to choose quickly as the chef was going to close the kitchen.
They really should have not made a reservation for 14:30 available if we were going to get rushed in choosing our dishes. That is the only thing I would personally change, however overall the service from other staff and the welcoming were really great and I will definitely go back again!
Always a pleasure to visit the Northall.
Lovely food, well presented. Good to meet up with friends or family in a relaxed quieter atmosphere without being rushed.
We had lunch on Saturday from the set menu, which at £28 for 3 courses was excellent. I knew that there would be a service charge which was fair enough as the service was very good. I was not prepared, however, for the charge of £11 for the two bottles of water. We were asked "Would you like some water, still or sparkling?" and were not warned that each bottle was £5.50. This was a shame as it seemed out of proportion to the cost of the food. We had been at Heddon Street Kitchen the week before and were not charged for the water. I would still recommend the restaurant but warn people to ask for tap water and avoid this add on.
I booked an early dinner for my husband's birthday. I had called in advance to request a candle in a dessert. On the day, and in front of my husband, I had to remind the staff. I believe my earlier call had not been noted.
The restaurant itself was chilly, needed a jumper! Service a little slow but very friendly. Very expensive for portion sizes.
A lovely evening at the Northall
Our latest visit of many over the years. This time we had the 'pre-theatre' menu although in our case it was more 'pre-flight from Gatwick' menu. The value was extraordinary made even more so by their latest offer - half price bottles of all wine on the wine list on Mondays only. We often think that many of their bottles of wine are overpriced and so choose carefully but this offer takes some beating. The restaurant was only half full but get in before the word gets round! For sure, it will be packed for our next Monday visit!
A truly wonderful atmosphere. Perfect service and exquisite food.
Super slow service, food is not up to standard and way over price even with the deal.
A beautifully decorated environment. The food was amazing and the menu has a good range.
Service was good: staff was friendly and responsive. Super convenient location, three minutes walk from Embankment Station.
A very positive experience overall.
Attentive service and delicious food. Wine list quite pricey but ambiance and food make it worth it. Would recommend the pre theatre menu.
Always amazing food, service and attention to detail in every way. Prefer it to the Kerridge bar at the Corinthia. We have visited a few times lately and the quality is very high. The only annoying thing is the bathrooms are further to walk than usual for a restaurant, but the waiters kindly put a cover on your food to keep it warm whilst you're away. Great for a special occasion as it's not cheap but it's also a leap in food quality and service so we didn't mind the bill.
Lovely place, excellent food but expensive wine list
Great team delivery great service. Despite having a tight time constraint, they accommodate all our requests. Good job!
Very high standard of food and service. Lovely setting. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great time, great staff, recommend it!
Top class service. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful at all times and made you feel special.
Food was good, however given that it was a valentines menu was slightly disappointing... especially the vegetarian menu which given the cost felt a little basic.
Id go again on a normal day when prices are a little more normal and hope with a wider choice of menu there would be dishes which id be happier to pay for.
So happy I got a last minute booking for Valentine’s Day :) and was not expecting much before I arrived, however it became one of the most memorable experiences to date. Having been wined and dined all over London before, it was a special evening, very welcoming and the hospitality was out the roof. Beautiful valentines decor, very attentive and friendly approaching staff and the 5 course valentines meal was absolutely wonderful. I could find no fault, it was beautifully presented, beautiful flavours and the timing of bringing each course was well timed by staff, who were very calm and met my needs by requesting a special order from the chef due to not being able to eat a meat from the menu. Very thoughtful. The fresh produce used also made the dishes so much more enjoyable, provide value for money and I was in awe of the talent of those behind the recipes.
We then moved onto the entertainment room/bar which was also very relaxed and had a great ambience and a nice live singer.
We have both said we will come back soon :) maybe a day at the spa.
Thank you and especially for all your humble staff members who made it more pleasant and inviting !
Exquisite cuisine, lovely and friendly service and marvelous venue. A soft music to create ambiance during the day would be the cherry on top however it's a 5 star experience from the door until the door again. Thank you Northall!!
Wonderful meal in sumptuous surroundings. What a bargain at £32 for three courses and including a glass of champagne. Can't recommend more highly.
Wonderful building which added to the ambience. Wonderful food and impeccable service. We had the set lunch with a glass of champagne for £32. Will definitely be visiting again
As a regular to Northall the whole experience of dining here never fails to disappoint. Ambience, service and food are all exemplary. A perfect evening
Great experience. Quality everything.
Great value menu and excellent tasting dishes. Had the trout tartare with seaweed crisps and little circles of cucumber which added to the texture of the dish. Desserts are always something to look forward to, dark brown sugar tart, not overly sweet a beautiful executed pudding, simple yet hit the spot. Andrea was superb, attentive and charming. Me and my two cousins had a wonderful and relaxed dining experience on the 6th Feb, would recommend The Northall.
My friend and I went for lunch before we were off to the theatre.
We enjoyed so much as the service was very good and food was excellent!
Definitely go back again!
Business lunch in a bright and airy restaurant. Plenty of choice in the range of both simple and refined food dishes. The set price lunch is splendid value. Food was excellent and service was attentive.
Excellent food and service. The starter of trout was very delicate and fresh and the desert of pistachio and chocolate was divine. The cocktails were amazing
Great meal and excellent service. Beautiful surroundings and perfect for our pre theatre dinner.
Fantastic food service and ambience as always
Food was fine and as expected for the Northall. However, service standards and the overall experience has been in decline for some time now and reaching a level that could see it taken off the list for business lunches.
We had a really wonderful experience at the Northall. The set menu is incredible value for the standard of the food. The venue is stunning too but what really made our evening was the service. Thank you.
Overall I was very impressed with The Northall. The food was very good. This venue is stunning. Service was a bit slow, but overall this venue. You will struggle to get such good value at any other comparable restaurant.
Amazing interior, very pleasant and professional staff, impeccable service. My only concern was the absence of a ramp at the main entrance. My elder uncle almost fell while descending the staircase. There should have been a dividing handrail in the middle as the ones provided wrap around the sides of the building, the current provision isn't adequate.
Amazing friendly service. Great value for money. Definitely on my list of everyday evening dining :) highly recommended.
We went there as a Pre theatre dinner. The food was good. Very good location
