Great but slow
This place is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the service is impeccable. It’s not cheap but totally worth the money for a nice date night.
Beautiful architecture. Lovely bathroom. Food was rustic and delicious. The service was all right - it could have been more attentive - but a nice pace for a leisurely dinner.

Nomad restaurant(and its hotel) Are easily far and away one of the best in the country. Impeccable. The food is incredibly innovative and tasty as hell. There’s something for everyone. Also, the bathroom is the most unique on the planet
Wonderful atmosphere, as we walked in the aroma of rosemary and other herbs was delightful!! The food was exquisite and service outstanding! I would definitely recommend it. :)

Food was excellent, drinks were good too. Service was adequate although I wish our server would at least crack a smile 😄. This restaurant is in the lobby area of the NoMad hotel so there is a lot of foot traffic. We had to change seats cause the table we were seated was right next to a 2ft wide path where servers and guests walked through constantly to the point of annoyance.
We got moved to the other side across and it was much better. We had the beets Burrata cheese salad which has plenty of flavor and texture with crunchiness of nuts. The Kampachi collar tempura was excellent, better than a Japanese restaurant. We also had their famous NoMad chicken, juicy and tasty that came with a side of risotto which was very good as well. Love to come back with my family next time.
Great experience from the moment we walked in the door. Hostesses to the server all did great work. Kitchen nailed.
Table next to us was outrageously loud and acted as if in their own space so noise level might be better if away from them. Had nothing to do with restaurant which is great.
The food is always as excellent as the atmosphere. When you walk through the doors, it feels like you are coming to the cool party, and you are about to have the best meal in a hotel you aren't staying in. Post Daniel Humm the food still exemplary and Leo Robitschek, one of the major stars of the Make it Nice universe left to work for Sydell Group, after Daniel Humm and Will Guidara split up, Has continued to make the cocktails a draw for visitors to the Nomad. The dining experience is lovely, and the service is top-notch; this restaurant is definitely in the top experiences to have in Los Angeles.
It was PERFECT!
Wasn’t a great experience, the server wasn’t really attentive to me and my guest. It was my first time in California and didn’t feel very welcomed. The one thing that I did like though were the breakfast potatoes! I couldn’t get enough, hands down the best I’ve ever had. Other than that, the breakfast was extremely overpriced and not worth it.
Stunning soaring intricate ceilings and an ambience that makes one say, “Wow” the first moment you step foot into the former Bank of Italy building. Gorgeous. Food was amazing.

The setting is beautiful, and the trip to the washroom amazing - you go through the former bank vault. The table was a bit crowded (9 people at a table for 8) and the extra seats somewhat uncomfortable. The wine list is extensive, and the sommelier very helpful. Most of us shared the NoMad chicken, with a black truffle/brioche stuffing under the crispy skin; it was delicious. However, the "family style" serving of the signature dishes is a bit of a trap: the dishes are said to serve two people, and the waiter warned me that three of the chicken platters would be enough for 8 people, but it was still way too much food. Plan on 3 people per platter (or maybe 4 for light eaters). Very tasty, very well served; interesting menu.

The Nomad restaurant is always a surprise no matter how many times you have dinner there. The room is unique to LA. The round banquet hotel seating is grand and elegant to sit in. The menu seems is different than others in LA. The choices have something for any occasion including the Fresh shaved truffles over hand made pasta. This pasta is the standard for all other pastas to be judged against. It was perfect and so well executed that other hand made pastas cannot compare. The sauces on all the dishes are simple but no way can be replicated in your home kitchen. There is a very artful group of hands at work in the Nomad kitchen. It is hard to describe the food at the Nomad because when you eat it the flavors are so much more clear and pronounced that other restaurants. Even something as simple as a grilled chicken breast sandwich with aioli is simply better and more delicious than your mouth could imagine.

The service was absolutely terrible. We had 6 different people serve us during the 75 minutes we were there. Two of our drinks were forgotten and requested additional times, one was a coffee that arrived Cold and had to be sent back for a hot coffee. We had to ask three times for salad dressing that was ordered on the side. It was very slow. It was as though the original host who took our orders did make any of the notes we made. The omelette was cold when it arrived. When we asked for a menu to see if we wanted to order a dessert. We never received the menu.
The only redeeming element of the restaurant was the space is beautiful and it’s not noisy so you can have a conversation...
Overall the experience was great. I went to the rooftop bar which was seriously understaffed for a Saturday night. I had to wait twenty minutes to close my tab. Even though I had a dinner reservation the rooftop staff was unable to get a message to the restaurant to hold my table, much less transfer my tab to my restaurant bill. So I waited and almost lost my table. The saving grace was the wait staff and chef at the restaurant. I had a question on the wine selection and my waiter sent over the sommelier who was amazing. Dinner was outstanding. I totally recommend the cauliflower soup. I had the beats w pesto (amazing). I can't say enough about the food. Fix communication between the different lounge areas and you get 5 stars overall.
Seated 45 minutes after reservation (we arrived on time) service inattentive, prix fixe menu was a marked up selection of items from their normal dinner menu.
Probably the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I don’t knock the Hotel, but this one particular server. I won’t make names, but f*ck this guy, and that’s a lot coming from me

Lobby Restaurant was not so comfortable as one would hope. Portions of entrees were a bit undersized, we needed desert to complete the meal but wish that wasn't necessary for calorie reasons.Service was great cocktail was just OK. Food was delicious and artfully prepared, excellent in fact!
