Nice ambience but average food special the main dish. Also mayo should be prepared at the restaurant and not ready made.

Cocktails were pricey and I asked for a mocktail but was still charged £14 as it had been made with a special “no vodka” spirit drink. If I had known that I would have just had fruit juice. Restaurant was empty at 6pm on a Saturday so service was very slick and personable. I had the pre-theatre menu and opted for beetroot and buttermilk chilled soup with raw red prawns. This was OK but there was too much soup in the bowl which overwhelmed the delicate prawns and quails eggs. The roast chicken with fries and watercress was fairy ordinary; the bread sauce was the highlight. It was so dark in the restaurant that I couldn’t see what I was eating. The chicken looked a bit undercooked on the bone so I had to get my phone torch out to check it was done, it was, just, but far pinker than I normally eat. Pudding was basically a home-style baked rice pudding with a skin. Lovely but exactly as I would make. I might have expected a twist on this dish or a different flavour, or for it to be served with some fruit. Overall overpriced for the quality of the food which other Brasseries do better at a more competitive price. I also object to an automatic 15% service charge being added to the bill. The best things about the Nitery were the curated playlist of quirky vintage tunes and the artwork. I was so looking forward to visiting this restaurant but I won’t go back. I also noticed that if you were vegetarian or vegan you would really struggle here.

We had high expectations of our lunch at The Nitery, being big fans of Gizzi we were keen to indulge. Sadly the food was nice but not great - starters and cocktails were the high point but the mains didn’t quite deliver. The staff were like a comedy act and didn’t seem to know what they were doing half of the time! We had a nice lunch but not as good as we had hoped...

The food was very poor based on the price and expectation of Gizzi Erskine.

The service and drinks were great, but the food was similar to pub quality but triple the price.

Our waitress Vicki was wonderful. She was very attentive but didn’t interrupt our conversation which was great. Excellent knowledge of the menu and what went well together.
The food was great, chicken sauce was INCREDIBLE. But it was the puddings that stole the show for me. Meringue pie was just delicious. Wine was great, art work in the building also great.
We had a lovely evening - one for a treat night as it is quite expensive. But we would love to come back for the roast!

Restaurant was quiet, with quite a lot of staff but we still waited 30 mins for our drinks even though they knew it was my birthday.
When mains came they were cold, and we were told our sides would be another 5 mins.
Apparently the waitress forgot to add them as she lost the paper she had written our order on. No apology. Dinner got even colder while we waited for the side dishes. No attempt was made to keep our dinners warm.
They didn't have the wine we wanted, so had to order a more expensive one.
Food was nice, shame the service really let the side down. Had to actually ask for some kind of compensatory amount to be removed from the bill, so they finally agreed to take the side dishes off.
not an enjoyable experience.
Also not much for the vegetarians really considering....

We went for the launch of their Sunday Lunch menu. What an incredible meal! The food was unbelievable, the highlights were the roast potatoes, the vegetarian wellington served with bread sauce and the served-pink beef! The pudding menu is fantastic too, we had the tarte-tatin and the crumble which was delicious, and beautifully plated.

The service was well timed, and we were kept topped up with drinks. The ambience of the restaurant was great as well, and the art work is a great talking piece.

The best meal I’ve had in ages, can’t wait to go back for the al la carte menu too!

Food was lovely, rich in flavour and decent helpings. If I was to be critical, the roasties weren't crispy enough and the yorkshires were a little stodgy. Starters and pudding were really delicious! Our waiter was very friendly but our second plate of main food took ages to arrive so we shared each plate as they came. Luckily, there was a automatic 30% discount given it was the first Sunday. If I'd have to pay full price, I would have been a little disappointed.

Really quite disappointing! Expensive (£250 for 2 of us with a starter and main each and 2 cocktails each).
The wine selection was excellent. Food was quite tasty but overpriced for what it was (we felt).
Atmosphere in the restaurant zero! They played the same TRex tunes on a loop.
Service was mediocre. Each course took ages to bring out and the staff were not overly attentive.
We left feeling short changed, I’m afraid. Sorry.

We thought we'd try this pop-up because the set 3 course menu looked like very good value. Like many hotel restaurants, the room was not very atmospheric and, for a Saturday night it wasn't busy. The service was excellent - chatty without being irritating - and the waiter knew about the food and wine. In fact, the menu was as good as it looked. Including oysters to start and cheese to finish it was extremely good value. Overall, though, the ambience was rather bland so I wouldn't recommend it as a place for a celebration or a special night.

I went early pre theatre, good friendly servixe, food wonderful, the porconi parfait is to die for with wonderful textures and flavours, up there with my favourite ever starters. Main a very good quality onglet with game chips side, well seasoned. Finally a generous and tasty chesse plate and served with enough crackers to eat it on, rather than the meagre portions elsewhere. Good choice of wines. I will be back.

Had a wonderful weekend lunch with my husband, the food is just so good! From the juicy fat scallops and perfect steak tartare to the main course of prawn bisque and chicken and fries (believe me so much more exciting than it sounds!) and the queen of puddings, all so tasty. Service was lovely too. Already thinking about my next visit!

Food was amazing.
We came on a Friday night at a reasonable time and lots of dishes were not available which was strange. Service wasn’t great esp as restaurant was only 30% full. Over an hour for starters from arrival.
Go for the art and the food!

Had a great evening at the Nitery with my son. Macarena our waitress was lovely and the food was delicious. Devilled eggs with chicken crackling, yum! My son really loved the french onion soup and he can be pretty hard to please. Burger and chicken, fantastic. The Gizzi's Gibson was great. I ate the pattern off the plate enjoying my lemon meringue pie so much. Good music too, an all round good experience. Thank you and thank you especially to Macarena.

Despite the place being virtually empty; service was slow, haphazard and starters took over 30 min to arrive. We had to remind the host to take us to our table, to order drinks and to transfer our drinks to the table. They just did not seem to know what they were doing. Food was mediocre.

The food, drinks, and space are really cool - I'll definitely be coming back.

However, I would say to be careful to make sure you're very clear if you're ordering from the fixed price menu - I ordered from that, but got the food (and prices) from the main menu.

Fair enough, I don't mind - I got what I paid for, and it's still new, so mistakes happen - but it's something to be aware of

Really disappointing experience after all the marketing hype, can’t really find a positive at all - 3 dishes not available, soggy shoe string fries, freezing cold lemon meringue, just awful when there are so many wonderful options elsewhere

We were so looking forward to this but unfortunately it just didn’t live up to expectations. The beans and rice in both the goat dish (although they didn’t have goat so we had lamb instead) and the prawns were really undercooked and rock hard. Flavours were amazing but the texture of raw food ruined it somewhat!

Met a friend for lunch. The restaurant was almost empty. Our waitress had great difficulties understanding our oirder due to poor English skills. We opted for a mix of starters, including a winter tomato salad. There's obvilously a reason that tomatoes are not usually served in the winter and this was exactly what we received a - a tasteless salad with rock hard tomatoes. Overpriced and tasteless dishes.

Despite having attended the venue several time over recent years and generally had a good experience, under the new pop up theme we were very disappointed. There was no vegetarian choice on the mains menu. Given this is a new menu in a contemporary London restaurant, we were dumbfounded. First the waiter declined to suggest any alternatives and then after I requested he consult the chef, the chef also declined.... not even the cursory offer to upscale a starter. So my conclusion, a poor menu, poor service, little attention to the customers preference. Cocktails, vibe and décor is much the same as ever, which is OK.

BAD CHRISTMAS DINNER.
Typical bad English cooking. Over boiled vegetables and dry Turkey. Spent 240 pounds on dinner for two. Bad mistake/ Bad Food... Greek waitress was super nice but she could not save the day. Restaurant needs to hire a new chef. ( This restaurant was good when it was Asia de Cuba ) skip it, find somewhere else.

We had a wonderful Christmas dinner here. We needed vegan food for two and this was one of the only restaurants that did it. The first two courses were on the menu anyway, but for dessert the chef made sorbet especially for us. All the food was delicious, the portion sizes were huge! The service was excellent.

I recall this being Asia de Cuba in a previous incarnation. Difficult to find on the street. Actually not as good as it was when it was Asia de Cuba. Some dishes very good, but some rather unsuccessful. Too busy or not enough waiters. Sent wine back, replacement was better.
