The Meatball Shop - Lower East Side
The Meatball Shop serves the best meatballs in the world with a mix and match menu utilizing sustainable and natural ingredients whenever possible. But The Meatball Shop serves way more than just meatballs! Highlights from their hit menu include seasonal veggies, market driven salads, sandwiches, handmade ice cream sandwiches, craft cocktails and an approachable wine program.
The vibe of this LES restaurant is always fun, upbeat and lively! Perfect for a night on the town or a family dinner with kids. Think the best dinner party you've ever been to with the comforting feeling of being at Grandma's.
With drinks and desserts a-plenty, The Meatball Shop makes the perfect casual stop for digging in to a hearty meal or a healthy bite, refreshing drink and mouthwatering dessert with family and friends.
That was fantastic, my sister and I went here to try the famous “spaghetti with meatballs”, for now is the best food I try in NY!!
I have been to the Meatball Shop several times.
I always order the buffalo chicken meatballs and mozzarella cheese balls as appetizers (both so good).
For dinner - I have ordered the veggie balls on a hero with pesto sauce and mozzarella cheese (so delicious)!
During my latest visit I came with my daughter in a stroller and they sat us on a table where her stroller was able to remain open.
Very nice server with a great atmosphere and some great food
The food is delicious. The service is friendly but rushed and chaotic.
Overall, about what we hoped for. The food was good - not great, but tasty and I was happily surprised to see there was plenty of sauce, contrary to other reviewers. The appetizer little crab cake and mozzarella balls were very good. My "Ball de'jour" wasn't quite as good as anticipated (steak, bacon, cheddar). Pasta was cooked a perfect al dente.
This was a fun, easy-going restaurant with, of course, a lot of meatball options. Our kids loved the choices. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. The drinks were well mixed.
The food could be brought up to another level though in my opinion. The focaccia was dry and tasteless- more olive oil and rosemary, salt!!- the beef meatballs were just okay. The pork balls were preferred by our group. Overall good experience but with so many choices in New York City, I'd try somewhere else next time.
So yummy! Fresh made food and so options to chose from. I had the lobster meatballs and it was amazing! Best pasta I’ve ever had.
Something really off about service when I visited. The waiter seemed really hostile and sh**ty. It was quite unpleasant. Food was nice, but spoiled by the experience.
Good food for a good price, it was very very loud when we were there, however good place to start the night :))
Was fun and the food was delicious and fast.
