Great breakfast and fantastic service! Gingerbread hot cakes yummmmm!
Love coming here, food, service and setting is the best. Fabulous coffee too.
The food is absolutely gorgeous. Little disappointing was the COVID officer. Open until 3.30 but the music was turned off about 2.....the message was clear we needed to leave. The blond waitress was so friendly. But the COVID lady needs some work. Lol overall lovely.
Food was great but service was a bit lacking. Staff weren’t attentive so we had to ask for our order to be taken then same for a coffee. Usually very good service
Food as usual, was great...coffee on this occasion wasn’t so good!!
They were extremely busy on the day but unfortunately doesn’t excuse forgetting to put my order through.
They were great in accommodating us once they realised- but I had to ask them after noticing other patrons had received their order after I had ordered.
Lovely setup on the balcony for a morning catchup.
Beautiful food, great service but were not told of the 15% public holiday fee or time limit. Sn expensive breakfast but on any other day would thoroughly recommend.
I had been wanting to try out the loose caboose for a while now, the coffee is amazing and so is the food, it would have been nice to have two slices of toast instead of one with two eggs on top. However aside from that it was a 10/10 in my books and I will be back x
It was disappointing that our friend had her coffee spilled all over her by a waitress, covering her jeans, contents of her handbag and then had to pay for that coffee and also the public holiday surcharge was added to our bill, it would’ve made the unpleasant experience a little better.
Good spot for coffee. Could’ve had a few more breakfast options. Service was excellent and very helpful. Great overall.
Very friendly, great service and beautiful place to eat. Food was so nice.
Lovely experience all around, such a cute cafe & we were able to bring our fur child 😄
Excellent food, attentive service and great coffee. Highly recommend it.
Food was delicious and well presented! Loved the house made cold drip.
So accommodating and kind!! Even gave me a pot of hot water to sterilise when we dropped the baby’s dummy without even asking!
Love the place / food and coffee.
For some reason the staff seem a little less friendly than you would expected from a business that does everything else so well.
Lovely fresh food, friendly, efficient service. Look forward to another visit.
It was pretty good food. I ordered the bacon and eggs and a cap. I ended up getting a flat white which was okay, not my order though. My eggs were okay, quite runny tbh.
My fiancé ordered the pancakes and were very expensive for what she got. 3 mini pancakes. She said they were really dry and she didn't eat much of it at all. We also got 2 ojs and they were yummy!
It was also pretty hot in there too and very loud.
We enjoyed everything about The Loose Caboose, including its good selection of food for diners with specific dietary needs.
While the food is great, it's difficult not to have the experience of eating here marred by the service. The main server/hostess (who oddly seems to be the owner or in charge) has a really poor attitude. All staff ignored us after arrival for at least 5 minutes, despite trying to get the eye contact of them all. When we got the attention of one of the staff and mentioned we have a booking, he said we need to speak to the 'hostess' and pointed to her. She heard and chose not to look at us, making us wait longer as what certainly seemed like punishment by her. A simple 'hi, be with you in a moment' is all that is needed. All other staff were friendly. I would recommend rethinking your service approach, your process for welcoming and seating guests, and above all your choice of head hostess. Not all "leaders" are made for service.
Food’s always amazing. Seats outside were not very comfortable.
Myself and my friends enjoyed catching up at the Loose Caboose. But the time limited dampened the occasion. But still a nice place.
Great place. Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch
As usual absolutely wonderful and compliments to the chef 😊
Awesome food and very friendly service
Good value for money as lots of food
The food is heavenly! Everything about the loose caboose is beyond perfect.
Always love The Loose Caboose.
Consistently good food & service.
Great food, staff and ambience. Will definitely come back
Good atmosphere, great service, food was good. Coffee was great!
Nice coffee. Loved the Chilli Crab. Going back for coffee in a week.
Loved the menu, the ambience, the food - the outstanding caring service of our waitress whose name I forgotten she was absolutely delightful and thoughtful 💜
Sumptuous food, we had a great time with great children.
Great place to eat with family and/or friends. Great ambience and wonderful food. Have been there a few times now and have not been disappointed.
Unfortunately for the owners, I think we got a server (who seemed to be in charge) who was having a bad morning. Seemed to use the online booking system as a way to avoid a chat on the day of booking and then the terms and conditions of the online system as an excuse on the day we got there. Were told we were going to be considered a no show on the day as we didn't all order from the food menu. I assume this was to avoid a service fee from the online booking company, but with random varying surcharges depending on who was paying, and making the last person pay for a drink they hadn't ordered because staff had messed something up can cover any admin fee they pay for their booking service. This would have made some sense if they were full or busy, but they weren't, 9 people spending approx $150 that are in and out in 45minutes I thought would be a good thing when you aren't full. But apparently not, as I received the "sorry you didn't turn up email" suggesting it's not a nice thing to let your hard-working cafes down during covid. We would have been better off as 9 walk ins and annoying the server and kitchen that way, as we seemed to annoy her anyway with notice. I
also assume the "no show" is a mark against my name in the Open table app, which is unacceptable.
Don’t make a booking unless all of you are planning to order a food item from the menu. Friends and I caught up for morning coffee and the lady who served us said that all of us were required to order a food item from the menu because we made a booking. (Apparently ordering the coffee wasn’t enough).
Great coffee ... I know everyone says that but I REALLY mean it !
Service excellent even on a busy weekend, remember to book as gets busy ... attention to covid management very good ... and super tasty interesting food ...
Incredible food and coffee, super friendly staff and beautiful decor
Love this place! Haven’t been for a while & so glad to be back. Food was amazing & service was friendly and energetic. Highly recommended!
Friendly hosts, welcoming of children. However the attitude of one staff member was abrupt and less than welcoming. This is consistent with my previous two experiences. Food is fresh and tasty; coffee is a great brew. Disappointing that only one hour was allocated to our booking; many others offer 90 minutes. We were unable to have our second cuppa and finish with a sweet treat.
