What a gem we found. Beautiful log cabin, cozy and perfect place to dine. Server Cole was great, friendly, attentive and his recommendations were spot on. We wanted to go back tonight but no reservations available. I had Osso Bucco, very good, hubby had lobster tail. The sticky toffee pudding is not to be missed. Overall a fantastic meal and evening.
Dining here was very good and very nice service and delightful atmosphere.
Loved this restaurant!!! The decor was fabulous, the waitress was super helpful, and the food was delicious from our appetizers thru dessert. Would highly recommend this place!!
perfect evening. delicious food and cocktails. excellent staff.
everything was beautifully presented but the food was a disappointment. The price high for less than excellent food.
Excellent drinks and steaks. Service was outstanding. Highly recommended.
We celebrated a special anniversary at the Log Cabin and they made it perfect- the setting, food and service was excellent. We even had a well wish card at our table! Along with a cute flower arrangement that we were given to take home. Thanks so much
A wonderful place for a celebration or just a quiet dinner.
Excellent food and service!! Nice ambiance and chill vibe.
The carb and avocado dish from the raw section was AMAZING!
We have been to The Log Cabin for decades. We love the atmosphere and really everything about it. The food was very good, however I have one complaint about the food. We both had filets and they were very good. The plating, however was all brown, dark and heavy. The brown sauce was so thick. The fingerlings were over roasted. The onions and mushrooms were a brown lump. It was truly a bit of a turn off! The atmosphere is dark and our entree was dark and heavy. A bit of green veg on the plate would have helped tremendously. The presentation really was not good. You eat with your eyes first.
There are lots of places to get a good filet. Based on our filets, I think we would go somewhere else if that is what we wanted.
My only other issue was the fire in the fireplace. It would be great on a cold, wintry day. Our day was in the high 50’s. Too warm for a fire. And, the wood was too fragrant. We want to smell our good! My husband also thought the room was smoky.
Sorry for this review! It just was not up to the high standards we have experienced at The Log Cabin for over 40 years!
Gabby, our server, does an excellent job and I would recommend her highly to anyone dining at The Log Cabin. She is very good at reading the mood of our table to assist and when to allow our privacy. She knows how to up sell, but is never pushy about it. I always request her on our reservation every time we visit.
The food is excellent, but the menu needs to be updated much more frequently. We enjoy dining there, but periodically the lack of change entices us to dine elsewhere.
FYI- We normally visit for Sunday brunch.
We enjoyed brunch near the fireplace, cozy. Our server was attentive, very pleasant and flexible with any requests we had. We did not feel rushed and enjoyed a leisurely meal. The lobster bisque was excellent as were our salads. The lobster Benedict on the potato pancake was light and done nicely. Preferred this presentation of eggs Benedict rather than on an English muffin. The bacon was somewhat overdone, however. We particularly liked the petite desserts. Perfect after a generous main course. We would definitely return.
Wanted to celebrate a special occasion with friends. The Log Cabin did not disappoint. Food and service was very good and the wine list was nice as well.
We chose the bar room table for a less formal setting.
Great food and service
Always pleased with the Log Cabin. Great food, service, ambiance. Highly recommended.
Delicious food in a very attractive atmosphere. We will definitely go back.
Delicious food and wonderful service!
Excellent food, pricey but worth it for a special occasion. It was a bit noisy until it got less crowded (we arrived at 7pm on a Sunday)
We came to the Log Cabin to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. We chose the Log Cabin because of past dining experiences. It is one of the better places we have ever frequented. The food was / is always perfectly prepared. One of my go to drinks is The Cabin Mary. They are a meal by themselves.
Gabby was our waitress and is one of the best we have had. This was our second time with her and we will ask for her in the future. She is a jewel and the Log Cabin should be happy that they have her. She is great!
The smell of the fire burning and the low lighting create an atmosphere that is both soothing and relaxing. Prepare to have all of your senses tickled and satisfied. We WILL be back.
Service and food are second to none!
We had great food & service!
Nice place to celebrate special occasions.
Everything is too salty. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and it was not chilled when opened and served.
Having been absent from The Log Cabin for many years. I was intrigued that they were having Sunday Brunch, when I heard it from friends. I took 5 people there this past Sunday. It was marvelous, I am telling everyone I know and have re-booked for March 1 for 6. I was surprised when I posted on Facebook, that many of my friends did not realize they were open from brunch. That resulted in the second booking. The atmosphere is warm and gentile, a perfect place to spend a couple of hours on Sunday. All the 6 different entrees were well liked and appreciated. The Cabin Mary, will be my go to "salad" it was amazing. The staff left us feeling well cared for not obtrusive or neglectful, just the right balance.
I trust The Log Cabin will work to let more people know about Sunday Brunch.
I had wanted to have dinner here; however, was unable to get a reservation so instead went for brunch. Really glad we did! The menu was limited - I guess we were expecting more, but the choices we made turned out to be delicious. Lobster bisque and shrimp cocktail appetizers, then I had lobster cobb salad (would have liked more than just one portion of claw meat) and my husband had the poached eggs with lobster over potato pancakes )again, lacking much lobster - if any on his!). The ambiance was a quiet charm. We'd recommend it.
Always a great place to take clients to as the food is spectacular & they have a decent wine list as well. Their background & story always makes for a great conversation starter too. My only complaint is that our waitress did not pay attention to when our wine glasses were empty so we had to pour the wine ourselves. For as expensive as the bottles were that we were drinking, it would have been nice to have that done for us. Other than that, it was 4.5/5 - highly recommended & will return!
Fantastic meal. We had the Filet and Duck. Both dishes were excellent. Emily was a great server. Venue is beautiful.
We had a great experience! Food was great and service. Just a little dark where we were sitting.
Always a delight! Always a delight! Always a delight!
the service and food were wonderful as always, thanks.
The moment you open the doors you feel welcomed the aroma of the fireplace and staff to take your coats. A beautiful bar lounge to grab a drink while you wait for your table is a must with delightful cocktails to suit each tastes. The waiters are all helpful, friendly, and prompt! Most important, the food was, in my opinion the best in lancaster. Starting off with fresh oysters, salads, and soups that were postively delishes (onion soup + lobster bisque). Her coffee rubbed steak was cooked to the perfect temperature and my oso buco had the meat falling off the bone. The side dishes left you with plenty to eat. Hopefully you're not to full for dessert because there are great choices, but if you are the have a petite dessert menu (so smart since im always to full). Afterwards feel free to grab that espresso martini and sit by the piano to enjoy the house music! All in all, we absolutely loved the dinner! Great for special occasions or just spoiling the one you love!!
Best Steak I've had in a while. Service and ambience was good. Noise level was up while dining at the bar. Pricing is rather high, however, it was the Princess's b-day so all's good.
It’s been a while since we have been at the Log Cabin, still a gorgeous setting and special location. Food was delicious, but the waitress was not so good. The other staff was nice and always available. But our waitress was just the opposite. My drink should never get below half and it was long durations between seeing her. It wasn’t a busy night so no excuse for this either.
Unfortunately I didn't feel that the dining experience was worth the price. Our party has had better steaks elsewhere and the prices were better. Something has slipped since we first went to the Log Cabin 30 years ago. The entertainment, Swing Street, in the lounge area was great, though, and helped end our evening on an up note.
Great appetizers. Lobster bisque, pasta were great. Restaurant ran out of too many of the entrees and specials. That was Very frustrating. Other entrees were good. Very nice staff and incredible ambiance. Overall very good experience.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We see each one as an opportunity. I do see that you joined us later in the evening and sometimes Chefs amazing specials do fly out of the kitchen. We did have the entire menu available as well that evening and I am glad you found a dinner that you enjoyed. We look forward to your next visit with us!
Excellent service and food! Definately will return. Be sure to arrive early and enjoy the lounge atmosphere and great music.
We had a wonderful meal, impeccable and friendly service and excellent upfront reservation experience. It was exactly the evening we had planned and hoped for.
The Log Cabin is very charming. Bar area was beautiful and the bartenders were very friendly. Dining room was beautiful. Food and service was amazing. Can't wait to go back.
Solid choice for dinner. Food was very good. Nice bar and dining area. Ambiance is very nice too.
It was very enjoyable. The food was delicious. A varied menu with manu different options. Highly recommend
