We went for the last night of the biggie at the outside log cabin and it was pretty awful food wise. Luckily it was 50% off. We ordered Irish nachos which are supposed to be what the Mick had and it was a bunch of the chips in a basket with cheese and with what tasted like old corn beef ....it was nothing like the actual nachos that the Mick used to serve. We then got buffalo chicken Gorgonzola sandwiches. Having worked in a restaurant I will assume they made it open faced because the cheese is melted to the top of the bun and it appeared that microwave chicken tenders were placed on the bottom half of the bun and hot sauce just shaken up on top of it there was no Gorgonzola cheese but they were nice enough to put blue cheese on it but didn’t tell us that were out of Gorgonzola. Which was fine we knew that they were running out of products going into there last night there but being served microwave chicken tender sandwich was not on my list of things I wanted to eat for dinner. I couldn’t even finish half the sandwich nor could my husband. The sandwich was also served with the same chips that were supposed to be the Irish nachos but “plain”. If I knew that I wouldn’t have bothered with the nacho appetizer. We also got the chicken Cordon Bleu bites which were OK but they weren’t warmed up enough in the insides were still cold. We still tip the waitress very well because it wasn’t her fault and she was very sweet while working probably half of the tables there.

It seemed to take a longer than normal time for someone to wait on us after we were seated.

Food was just ok. We weren't impressed. Craft beers were good.

Band was a little loud so it was hard to hear people talk at our table without shouting which we didn't want to do because it's not good during Covid.

Spent the after new with my husband enjoying the sound of the band, the beautiful outdoor view. The wait staff was kind and attentive. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. We are looking forward to their next event.

Everything was great. I would try another dish (we had Irish nachos, tasty but too rich). Server was so upbeat and attentive. Definitely would return.

We enjoyed our evening at the Log Cabin. We had an outdoor table on the edge of the patio with a beautiful view. The food and beer was good. The only negative is the pub menu is very limited. A bit too limited... my wife had trouble finding something she wanted. I got the Buffalo Chicken sandwich which was excellent.

Absolutely amazing experience. The only complaint I have is that the high-top table chairs were uncomfortable and for a larger person, it seemed to have to readjust myself frequently

The Big E inspired food was much in line with how it is on the fairground, sometimes hit or miss and often overpriced. However the location is unbeatable and it was great to hear live music. Service was top notch too.

I ordered the Shepard pie 🥧 not good at all . I feel that it may have been better as a beef stew in a bread bowl . Very soupy and I have never seen Shepard’s pie that way . I also hear another customer say the same thing , to soupy .
Irish chips and buffalo sandwich were very good .
The Ruben came out cold.
I will also say that I am not a cider kind of person, but they have some very good cider . I thought that our server was exceptional we really liked her, sorry I didn’t get her name because she deserves to be recognized. I also felt there was a young man there who may have been running the show that day, however he needs to keep his mask on.

The vistas were great. Our server was very nice. Unfortunately the food was not so good. All 4 of us had gastro issues for 24 hours after having dinner, and the flavors/quality of the food were sub-par. I'm sorry to be so critical since I've had very nice experiences with dining at Log Cabin private events.

Great set up, beautiful view and great band. The food was awful. The Irish Nachos consisted of potato chips slathered in fake cheese and dried corned beef. The Reuben “slider“ was in fact a whole sandwich with more fake cheese and thick chunks of dried corned beef. The cordon blue balls were something reminiscent of a school lunch in the 70’s and I am pretty sure they’d glow in the dark if tested. The Log Cabins food is consistently subpar but this was exceptionally disappointing - not even close to “ some of the Big E favorites” as advertised!

The food was not good at all. The appetizers reminded me of something you would buy in the frozen food section of a supermarket. Nothing special. The only redeeming factor was the beer.

I understand we are in a difficult time...however...I made reservations... weeks in advance, had to wait at least 30 minutes for my table, the food servings were tiny...again I understand these aren’t normal times and I would not like to see any business fail right now...I just think more effort could have been put in to make this event a success...great job with providing entertainment though!!

We were really looking forward to getting a taste of the big e while enjoying the scenery at the log cabin .Unfortunately we were disappointed. The food was really bad. I can’t believe an establishment like the log cabin would allow for this. Let’s start: the pretzel was literally the same pretzel you get out of the freezer section at stop and shop for $3.00 a box. Well they’re gonna charge you $12, skip this. The vegan sandwhich was inedible- LITERALLY- my sister spit it out. Pretty sure she used the word toxic somewhere. Beers were great (they didn’t have to cook those) the band that was suppose to start at 5 played one song from 5-5:45, they started late and couldn’t play bc a ceremony was taking place. Not a huge deal but when you’re only allowed 1.5 hours and would’ve enjoyed the music, it’s annoying. What else...oh yeah the Irish nachos, let’s all laugh now. These consisted of potato chips smothered in nacho cheese with some shaved corned beef. That’s it. The buffalo chicken meatballs “did nothing” for my dad. Service was awesome, weather was great. We’re not the type to complain so we all laughed about it but I hope the log cabin reads the reviews on this event bc there is no way other people didn’t feel this way. Yuck

It is unfortunate that the only time we can come to the log cabin is through a function, i.e., weddings, shows, etc.
it is a truly beautiful location and I think it would be wonderful if you could have a function on sat sun evenings with a quiet band and cocktails and dancing on that patio.

We were so excited to be attending the Big E night at the Log Cabin. We have had very good experiences prior with them however they struggled to meet expectations this time. We had 2 tables of people, while our server was attentive he was over burdened with tables and was actually running between tables and getting food and drinks. The 2nd table service was terrible. The server told them she was having a bad night and failed to go back and check on them. It got to the point where I had to go find an manager to get a server to come to the table. The manager did address this and comped the cold nachos that had been delivered. Food was not very good, definitely not up to Log Cabin standards, Service was not good, definitely not up to Log Cabin standards. The band was good and the patio was set up nice. They had a chance to make it a wow event but failed. I like the Log Cabin and refer friends, I would not refer a friend to the Big E event there though

We sat on the inside and felt completely left out of the big E festivities. The food was served in take out containers with no bread offered to go with our meals. Giant tables that could seat 8-10 people with just the 4 of us. Not an intimate dining experience at all. Very disappointed. Paid $58 dollars for two take out pot pie meals and 3 drinks. Definitely not worth it

It took well over 20 minutes AFTER BEING SEATED for a waitress to take our drink orders. The food was luke warm and sub par quality. If this event occurs again next year we will not be attending and we will tell our friends to avoid this event also.

Unfortunately this was not a great experience. We went for the Big E Craft Beer And Food tent experience. We were sat in the dark and told we couldn’t move to another table because it was already reserved, which no one ever arrived at. Sadly our server seemed very inexperienced and it’s hard to believe no one could notice the entire lack of light at our table. At one point my husband and I used our cellphone flashlights to see what the food we were eating looked like. The food was mediocre. The atmosphere has potential to be very cute and a great place to spend an evening, however the few tables in the dark should be moved or there should be some lights provided for them.

We went for the BIG E out door dinner. I love Open Table. I have never used this app and it is great! The food was good, not as many options as I thought, but in this state of the world, how could one have that complaint? It was so nice to sit outside. The atmosphere was awesome. Server was friendly and fast. The view was incredible. Having the live music was just so refreshing. What a great way to go out to dinner during covid.

The outdoor setting was amazing. Good music and beer. We thought the food was just fair. Not up to Log Cabin standard. Not priced (beer as well) fairly for what you get. Maybe their revenue is down due to the virus and they are making up for that. I am OK with that to help get people back to work.

We sat outdoors as it was nippy, but we felt safe. The food:meatballs, pretzels, cordon bleu bites, shepherd pie, chicken pot pie all good. The vegan buffalo chicken not so much. Service was mediocre. Live music a nice touch. Local craft beers and cider a fine addition.
