We booked for a birthday dinner on the terrace and were forgotten about. When I approached someone to take our order we were told the kitchen was now closed not good!! The manager did his best to fix this for us but we still went without a meal
Enjoyed the time we spent at The Lock the service was excellent the house Prosecco is a really good one, the safety measure in place were good and the atmosphere was great!
Lovely venue, never been here before. Six of us sat outside, chilly day but we were under an awning with heaters. A few blankets also available. Staff were lovely, couldn't be more helpful. We'll definitely go again.
Quick and polite service. Very covid friendly and staff couldn't do enough for you.
We were seated at an ok table. We had reservation for dinner but we had to pay for our drinks before we ordered our food and then our food before it came out. We asked for table water which I had to ask for twice before it finally arrived. We were asked if we wanted a drink after the meal so we asked how long we had left on the table and was told 10 minutes. When I suggested we couldn’t down a drink in 10 minutes I was then told we had another hour. The food was ok but nothing special for the price. The whole thing was just really poor and I wouldn’t expect that from a double tree. This review won’t matter as it’s always really busy but once everything opens up again will the people that would usually choose to eat there still want to?
We had a wonderful evening and the service was exceptional. Food was lovely too. Great atmosphere and very covid secure. Thank you
Good atmosphere, helpful friendly staff, would recommend.
The service was fantastic, although because of the location so many of public were around and entering the restaurant without masks on from the back entrance it was a bit unnerving, I feel like having an additional security guard on all the entrances would be more sufficient
Just outside with covid restrictions, took 40min to get first round of drinks. However accommodating later in evening for us to move under heater when available
The staff were so happy and helpful!
Could fault anything
It’s in such a beautiful location nx to the waterfront.
Fabulous afternoon spent @ the Lock, staff were fabulous as was the food & ambiance.
The beautifully sunny day of course helped but would 100% go back!
Great atmosphere and great service.
Staff were very helpful
We just went for drinks, and it was such a lovely location. Felt covid safe and was such a great set up. Some drinks had run out, but I guess that’s the joy of the first week of being open after covid easing!
Really enjoyed a relaxed drink and light meal in the sunshine, lovely atmosphere.
Really good and friendly staff in what is a difficult time for everyone. Tasty food at reasonable prices. Beer's a bit pricey and charging service on every pint whilst serving individually each person probably needs to be looked at.
Thanks for a great day
Booked for outdoor drinks for a colleagues 40th birthday. Super happy with the table, the staff had kindly decorated the table up for us on arrivals. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and approachable. Excellent ambiance right next to the water and comfortable seating too. Will happily return to the Lock!
Great staff, great service, lovely food and drinks and a great spot!
The service was okay, however one of my friends had to wait an extra 10 mins for her food to arrive and the food was not what we were expecting but it okay. We were given a soft drink on the house for our wait so that was nice of our waiter.
Lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by, drinks quite expensive but food nice and great service.
The establishment was incredibly clean & beautifully decorated. The service was quick & the waiters/servers/bar staff were very attentive. The food was tasty and decently portioned. The menu had good variety in both drinks & food. Some options were perhaps a little pricey, but with consideration of their services and facilities, overall it was good value for money.
Quick service. Tasty. Lovely venue. Would definitely go back
Our starters were extremely Luke warm on arrival and my main dish had sauce all over the side of the plate that the chef hadn’t cleaned off, we had two drinks each, a house wine and a pint of estrella and they came to £30! £15 per round.
One thing I will say is the staff were brilliant, very friendly and welcoming
Food good but not great, wine very good and service and ambiance very good, would book again- great value for money
Beautiful food and service! Definitely will be going back again.
Waiter had poor personal hygiene, there were no roast potatoes on the roast dinner and the waiter forgot to bring a cup of tea that we ordered. Expected better from Hilton
Disappointing, I wasn't convinced that the waitress had taken down our order correctly. Another waitress had to take our order. The drinks took too long to arrive this was 2pm and not busy in the bar or restaurant. A mojito should be served with crushed ice and the mint should not be wilted The food was mediocre for the price, as an owner of a boat when mooring we will go elsewhere.
Service was excellent, menu had a good choice and was resonably priced. Food was piping hot and well presented. Only point I could make is that the vegetables were a little under cooked for my taste but that said i was pleased with my choices. Waiter was polite and chatty and nothing seemed too much trouble.
Good quite location. Sunday platter impressive however meat was chewy. Waiter brought us more of the pork.
Had a lovely evening at the lock with my partner . Ordered a some drinks ( cocktails are lovely ) and the food was really really tasty and nicely presented. We were told the food would be an hour due to lots of orders but actually we did not wait that long I n the end . But we were happy to be away from the main centre and crowds and take in the lovely views of the canal and all the pretty lights .Was a special evening .the Staff where very accommodating!
So, the first I went, my partner had a main and a dessert and we both had a drink. The food came out, but the drinks didn’t... the waiter didn’t realise until my partner had finished his food... we never received them!
The second time we went, there were 2 staff on shift, one of which spoke hardly any English! The pint my partner had was pulled dreadfully and his glass was served dripping wet - the lady behind the bar couldn’t understand what I was ordering! Our order was completely wrong, our food was cold, my partners dessert didn’t even come out! We had to go to the hotel reception to ask for someone to serve us!!!! THERE WERE NO STAFF AROUND.
There was a smashed wine glass left one the floor for 50 minutes!!
We got all our food and drinks for free after complaining....
This is not what you expect from a Hilton Hotel, i am paying top price for supposedly top food... this wasn’t the case AT ALL!! Do not recommend.
Absolutely awful, food was cold and the price is absolutely ridiculous
I booked a table here for a belated birthday celebration. My sister and I had mushrooms and tomato and mozzarella for starters. Then for main I ordered the salmon teriyaki with a side of sweet potato fries. My sister ordered the steak but was told throughout the starter that they didn’t have any so that was a bit disappointing but she had the salmon too. The main definately was not disappointing it was very tasty. We also had some whispering hills rose wine which was a perfect example of an American white Zinfandel. As we had been let down with the steak and the waitress heard it was my birthday she gave us a complimenta glass of fizz each which was a lovely touch.
Fantastic service, the food was very good too.
50% off food in January is excellent value for money.
Went for our wedding anniversary and throughly enjoyed it.
This was the second time of dining at The Lock Kitchen & Bar, we were not disappointed at all, and once again lovely staff
Had the rump steak, asked for medium rare, but came more rare. However, service was very good!
A wonderful lunch in a quiet restaurant. The service was quick and the food excellent
The customer service was brilliant throughout. That was the highlight, as I recently moved to Leeds and have experienced poor customer service in other places.
The food was also very good for the price!
Lovely staff, food was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back!
No sense of customer service, kept waiting, with no feedback, for a table that was booked! Eventually had to walk out!
Our waiter Ben was very helpful and friendly. Service was quick. I was having a belated mothers day . Enjoyed every minute .
