Great selection, great cuisine, fabulous service and ambience
This was our first dining out experience in CT since Covid. The restaurant was set up for appropriate social distancing. We were there for brunch and there were many breakfast choices to choose from. My husband thought there would be a few "lunch" choices on the menu but we were all very happy with our plates!
I come here every weekend for brunch and will continue to. I’m never disappointed here, everything about this place is outstanding!
The food and the service was excellent. Usually when we leave a restaurant we leave with leftovers, but we finished both our meals and left very, very full. We were more than satisfied.
It was great experience
Ladies night on Wednesday.
Happy hour deals.
Myself and a groups of ladies went for the ladies night, and we had an amazing time with grate wine and food. (Serving sizes are more than enough, plus the prices are good) overall experience was perfect!! We will def be attending more ladies night 🍸my favorite drink was pretty in pinks and the Cayuga wine!! Highly recommended 🥰
12/20/20 It is a unique restaurant in that it is really in an old library! They remodeled the building and kept the amazing architectural features from the library. We were welcomed to explore the whole building. It was my birthday and we sat right next to the fireplace which was very cozy. It was a Sunday and we ordered from the brunch menu. The lobster brie grilled cheese was delicious and full of lobster. The presentation of the meal/plate was also beautiful! The wait staff was so friendly and accommodating. We will be back in better weather so we can also go and experience the winery associated with The Library, Gouveia Vineyards, only 3 miles away! We drove an hour to go to this wonderful place and will definitely do it again. It is very much worth it and we thought it was also reasonably priced which will also bring us back!!
So amazing! Food was perfect, so was the service. 10/10 highly recommend!
Great service, food and atmosphere. Will definitely be back!!!
As always, The Library did not disappoint for our Ladies Only Brunch. Always delicious and such a fabulous atmosphere.
Quiet for a Friday night, we had the outdoor patio to ourselves. Our server, Hannah, was very accommodating. Checked in with us multiple times along with a manager. With COVID we are not eating out as much, so it was nice to go and have such a great experience.
We've been to the The Library numerous times and we've never been disappointed. The food and service is always excellent.
Simply fantastic...wonderful ambience and the food is spectacular .
This is our second time coming for brunch. We loved it so much, we had to come back. OMG Lobster Grilled Cheese! Incredibly affordable too at $17. And let me say, they do not skimp on the lobster. They also have the option of getting a fresh bellini, depending what's available. This time we had a carafe of raspberry bellini. Delicious! The architecture is beautiful and the staff are lovely. We will definitely be back!
This was great place to visit! Cute and quiet, absolutely perfect for a date night!
We were in town for a “mommy getaway” and was recommended by our B&B. This restaurant did not disappoint! We were greeted pleasantly, and the food was delicious! Another good thing is that food came pretty quickly! I have no complaints here 5 stars!
We went to the Library for our anniversary. Our bar tender Nick was outstanding. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was superb. We will be back
The restaurant is spacious with ample room to dine in the formal dining room with a wood-burning fireplace, or more casual dining in the bar area at high top tables, regular tables, or at the bar. There is a rear dining room for special occasions. The owners are Wallingford vineyard owners, the Gouveia family.
I was impressed with the atmosphere & the service. The COVID safety protocols were excellent.
Great atmosphere, food and service. Outstanding experience.
The Library is our fast favorite. They are really managing to the Covid-19 protocols. Everything is clean and socially distant. We enjoyed meals outside all summer and have now enjoyed brunch and dinner inside. The staff and food are always perfect.
Very nice dining area. Very good meal. Large portions
Very good food and service, convenient parking. Patio area outside front of restaurant has nice view of center of town and historic buildings. A bit noisy due to being on the Main Street, which shouldn’t be a problem for big city dwellers , but might be a drawback for those who like a quiet atmosphere.
