Love The Kingston - great food and service, beautiful environment, excellent ambience, and so many places to sit to eat - at the bar, the front lounge area, the private room to the side, out in the glorious beer garden or down in the restaurant.
Great time by all. Outdoor area for pre-dinner drinks then dinner in the Resturant.
Wednesday steak night deal of $20 for a steak and glass of red was too good to refuse and steak, accompaniments and red were excellent. Good choice of mid-priced ($60ish per bottle) wine list options and good range of beer on tap. Service terrific. Definitely recommend
Went to the Kingston for lunch with friends. Have been there quite a few times over the years and the food, service, drinks and ambiance have always been great. Would highly recommend this pub to anyone.
Lovely venue and good customer service . Reasonably priced
We had a very pleasant lunch with friends. The food was of a very good standard, our waiter needed a bit more training. He struggled (Language Barrier?) with understanding our orders and left empty plates on the table for too long.
Despite that a very enjoyable experience.
Really enjoy dinner here. Restaurant has formal seating but a relaxed atmosphere. Food is always presented well, good choice including delicious vegetarian options, fresh and tasty. Never a wait for service or meal arrival. A local gem indeed.
Rather disappointing when you order spaghetti and get noodles... wtf
Always surprised at how good the Kingston Hotel is! It's a great pub and restaurant that does good food, has a good wine list and friendly and attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit and I'll be heading back.
Great Pub, Great Food, Great Wine, Great Service, Great Vibe
The Kingston is a great find! Great food and great atmosphere, this little gem is a must if you are in the area or travelling into the area.
Awesome pub for pre footy dinner with the perfect menu and had dinner out with plenty of time to get us to the finals!
Drinks at the bar followed by early dinner before heading off to footy at the G. Food and drinks were fine, and prices were fair value. Service was friendly and efficient and staff were mindful of the time constraints.
We’ll be back.
We went as a group of 7 and had a great time in the restaurant, out the back of the hotel. Waitress was helpful, fun and professional. For a relatively quiet night, the food took a little while to come, but was great - highly recommend the beef cheek and the lamb. Drinks waiter was a bit slow, but fine once we attracted his attention. Wine list is excellent. If desperate could always walk around to the bar. Mood was very relaxed and we hung around quite a while after our meal and staff were very easy going and didn't pressure us to move on. Would definitely go again - a real neighborhood gem.
We had our Engagement party at the Kingston five years ago but hadn't been back to eat for a long time. Have been twice in the last two weeks. The menu is greatly improved with the pub and restaurant food full of flavour and great value. Most importantly for us the Kingston is kid friendly. Kid meals are a good size and come with ice cream. The staff were very accommodating and helpful in getting us settled. This is a great place for a meal for friends or in our case an early dinner with the kids.
Outstanding Food , Service and ambience, A must go too for any occasion..
Delicious food. Meals arrived fresh and full of flavour. Friendly staff. Large menu with loads of delicious choices. Good wine list. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent restaurant quality food with good and happy obliging waiter service that exceeded expectations. All four different main meals ordered were rated outstanding in flavors and cooked to a high level.
We were warmly greeted from behind the bar, offered a range of tables in the bar area, excellent meals and great selection of craft beers on tap, close to train station (100m), perfect spot before heading off to the city.
Celebrate Mother’s day
Awesome service. Great food. One of Melbourne’s truly great suburban pubs.
We had a table of five and we were looked after very well, with a number of attentive staff helping us. The French waitress was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She had a good sense of humour too!
A really enjoyable Saturday lunchtime. Not too hectic, but still attentive service.
love this place-food, service and atmosphere is always fantastic.
The Wed steak special is something to drive miles for. The food was excellent and the ambience very pleasant.
No bread was very surprising.
Very pleasent ambience..excellent blingual waiting staff..pleasent, efficient and knowledgable. Special familly meet made all the more special by the great combination of food, wine and service.
We were there Friday afternoon. So happened that the Prime Minister was there too. The pub was full of football supporters too. It was Understaffed.
You think on a Public holiday for the football the pub would know that in Richmond on grand final eve you need extra staff
