The Kingston Hotel
Our traditional front bar leads to our restaurant and courtyard.
Good vibe. Steak was cooked very well. Would visit again.
A favourite local. We go here often and are never disappointed. The staff are very accomodating, they have an extensive drinks list and it is always toasty inside with a warm mood to match. They have a good range of dishes catering for gourmet meals as well as typical pub meals.
We haven’t been out to eat at a restaurant since the pandemic started in late March. We felt very safe and we had a lovely night. The food was great and the service was good.
Ambience and food was good. Prices were on the more expensive side for a pub meal.
Great service, yummy food and a good spot to talk and enjoy friends company
Great old school pub in the back streets of Richmond. Good for a beer, food is generally overpriced for what you get.
Great steak! Wine list can be a little pricey but a warm environment to enjoy a meal and a beer. recommended!
I am a local and have persisted with this place but the value continues to disappoint. Good for a catch up and drink but perhaps go elsewhere for food.
Great pub food, attentive service, and a fun night
Great to be back - brilliant as always
Had the rabbit followed by the Apple and rhubarb crumble pie - delicious. Thanks Sam, Chris and everyone else - so glad to be back 😄
Meals and wine were all beautiful, the perfect ambience sitting by the fire and great service. Spot on!
Catch up with friends for steak night
We were seated next to a roaring fireplace and had wonderful food. We had a great night.
Chris and the team are always so helpful and welcoming.
Very happy to be supporting local business.
Thank you so much
Always an amazing meal and great service at The Kingston
Great food with friendly and attentive service!
Thanks. It was great.
Great little local Richmond pub. Good food, good vibe.
So over priced. You pay $42 for a steak any other day than Wednesday. On Wednesday it’s $15 ... go figure
Great pub with yummy fabulous food
Menu covers all needs
Wine list terrific
This is a very nice space - quiet with nice tablcloths etc - and the wine list is really good but the food is not very tasty for some reason. We had the quinoa and pomegranate salad with lamb and whilst the lamb was cooked well, the salad was weird and tasteless. It didn't appear to be very fresh and whilst the pomegranates were i think supposed to make it sweet and add flavour it was just really strange. I did eat here a couple of months ago and was excellent so I think maybe the chef that day was different.
Our table was not impressed that the steaks we had ordered did not come out the way we had asked them to be cooked. If you ask for a steak to be ‘Medium - to - Well Don’ you don’t expect it to come out pink in the middle. One of our party also ordered a side of beans and he received salad. A plate of beans was delivered at no extra charge once he pointed out to the waitress that he had not received his beans. Overall, great value $15 steak night ! Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed the meal, and the staff were considerate, however there was a large noisy group near us who destroyed the atmosphere.
Food wasn't great and was expensive for what it was. Wouldn't go back anytime soon.
We regularly return to the Kingston Hotel for its good food, good atmosphere and friendly and attentive service.
Perfect pre footy catch up. Good choice of beer on tap and good value meals
Went to the Kingston for dinner it happened to be steak night best steak I've had thanks will def be back great atmosphere and a beautiful old pub
I am incredibly disappointed to see that the standard at the Kingston has dropped dramatically. This was my favourite Pub to come to before the footy last year during the finals. Great value and great food. This year not only have the prices gone through the roof but the drop in the standard of food is even more staggering. I wouldn't have minded paying more for a great venue like that but the food was horrendous to say the least. Two params, one being luke warm and the other being burnt. minimal chips on both. The Ravioli was just as bad with zero flavour as well as being warm and watery. The poke bowl may have been the worst of the lot and I would provide details but it was so bland that its not even worth my time. Whatever has happened over the last year needs to be reversed. Please be sure to publicise when you return to your former glory.
Awesome little pub in Richmond, you walk through the front door and feel like you've stepped back into the seventies. Make your way through the bar and front dinning area and it opens up into a white table cloth restaurant with a very warm relaxed atmosphere and a cute beer garden. The food is great, the staff are great and always happy to see you. We go to this Pub alot especially before the Footy.
Good pub meal and friendly relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed our night having a quiet catch up and watching the footy.
Great local pub with good traditional pub fare as well as a good variety of vegetarian and fish meals. Staff are always friendly.
Great Place for a feed and a beer before the footy. Absolutely packed, and was very busy, but that understandable as its a typical pub with a big bar and great atmosphere. Would definetly patronise again.
Have been here several times over the years, food always good, but the footy menu is very limited.
Great food, friendly staff. There was an error on our order but they cleared it up with a replacement and waived any additional charge. Thanks Kingston team. A lovely night.
Soon as you walk in the door really welcoming pub with super friendly and knowledgable staff. Great meal and great time had. Thank you very much.
Both the special fish options were excellent.I hadn’t had such a good snapper in a long time.
We loved our first visit to the Kingston. Booking online was easy, also made a follow-up phone call and they could not have been nicer about getting us a table outside. The food was delicious, although it took a little while, but that was fine because we were enjoying our drinks and the ambience. Though it was too hot to sit outside in the end, there is a lovely garden which we will enjoy next time. Not too noisy, unlike some pub restaurants. Would recommend it and go again
Food was full of flavour. Couldn’t fault any of our meals. Service was very good and our meals and drinks came out in a timely manner. It’s a hidden gem, but won’t stay hidden for much longer. We’ll be back again.
