All good, under cover and felt safe, but very cold. Heaters would have helped
We had 3 meals at the Joiners this week, all very good, was a bit chilly but under cover, good service, french martini and truffle and Parmesan fries the standouts
Great food, good atmosphere, in a beautiful village
Always visit when in the location. Outside dining meant not as ambient as previously, but good to see them open with one or two new dishes on the smaller menu. Will be back again when fully open
Great food and service. So happy to have a nice walk across the beautiful embleton beach and on to the Joiners Arms for lunch.
Fabulous country pub with excellent drinks food and service nothing to fault at all
Despite making a reservation there weren’t enough tables with overhead shelter so we were asked if we wanted to sit in the rain for our meal. I tried to find out before arriving if the tables were under cover but there was no information on the website and I assumed that the restaurant would let us know if they couldn’t offer dry tables on a rainy day - but they didn’t. We stayed and eventually moved to a table under cover (a gazebo in the car park). The food was mediocre - I had fish and chips, the fish was greasy and the chips were hard and dried out. Overall a really disappointing experience.
Great food, staff were brilliant as always. Pleased to be back
Fabulous fish and chips (as always, including gluten free option) plus great service from Shaun. A warm welcome, covid compliant, feels nearly back to normal.
Food is fantastic and the staff go above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble. We were served quickly with drinks and the food didn’t take too long after ordering and it was worth the wait. I would highly recommend the seafood crumble and my daughters thought the pasta was the best they’d had. We will be back as soon as we can.
Thank goodness the weather was good to us. Had a lovely meal in lovely surroundings
Ws booked care of the app and eventually a table became free. This pub was fantastiv for a long time but lost its way and became mediocre with high prices. However it is back to its best as food was excellent. Some staff could be a bit more smiley.
Very welcoming. Service prompt and attentive.
Food well presented and tasty
Great to be back
Birthday 74th oap
It was great to be finally back at one of our favourite places in Northumberland. Warm welcome, good service, fab food.
We had a lovely lunch. The staff were so friendly, the food was delicious, and, nice little bonus, the sun was out!
We will definitely be back.
Lovely meal here. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Will definitely come back.
It was an excellent experience, from the welcome we received to the friendly attention throughout the meal. Service was prompt and the meals (seafood crumble and pasta) were excellent.
Very nice meal and good service despite Covid restrictions. Heaters were good as it was a particularly cold evening.
Fabulous meal - the service was impeccable and a lovely menu, glad to be back there
Wonderful service and outstanding food and drink
Very accommodating we were able to choose our table 6 people and 4 dogs to juggle! Food outstanding - I had the North Shields Fish Crumble which was excellent. Most of the party had Northumbrian roast beef Sunday lunch pink and it was. Again excellent. A nice touch at Joiners has always been the extra gravy with the Sunday lunch. Superb family lunch.
Amazing food and outdoor space, staff were so lovely!
Only thing I’d point out is there is no vegan desert option, all main vegan options are amazing so a desert would be great on the menu!
Disappointed that the dish I wanted on the menu(seafood crumble) wasn’t ready
Fabulous service & food was superb, definitely go back
Excellent service, lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff
It was wonderful to be back at The Joiners Arms albeit at an outside table. There were plenty of staff making the service quick but unhurried. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great and the drinks chilled to perfection. Thank you.
A very warm welcome and able to sit in a sunny spot. Became rather cold and could have done with some heat but a very pleasant experience.
Another great meal at the Joiners. Lovely weather and great food. Really please to see the Resteraunt so busy. Well done to all the staff.
Great food and beer in very pleasant surroundings. Excellent observance of COVID regulations. Very pleasant all round experience - we’ll be back!
Highly recommended. Fabulous food, dog friendly and really pleasant staff.
Very welcoming local gastropub. Staff very friendly and food very good.
Great place for good food nice wine and good ale fabulously friendly staff
Outside service only so quite difficult for the pub. Food piping hot which I was grateful for, it being a chilly day, but the fish in sauce dish I chose had only one small chunk of salmon and a few flakes of fish in a very watery, tasteless sauce ...more of a thin potato soup really. Will not go again. Husband had the fish and chips which he enjoyed. Overall we’d have been better off staying home with an M&S meal deal snd saved a few quid too.
Usual great food new extended out door tables work really well. Staff friendly and attentive.
We had an amazing meal there, the sunday dinner is second to none. There was a slight hick up , but that was a kitchen tethering problem. Huge thanks to Megan for looking after us. Look forward to going back this Saturday again. Table is already booked
Great food , great atmosphere , great service what more could you want 👌
Great food overall, they forgot my meal but didn’t take long and was worth the wait. Steak and chips was heavenly and hubby loved his burger. Only gripe was the kids meal , I think they need to work on their offering , the garlic bread strips were sent back as dry and chewy, the replacement crudités were a poor offering also ,so would prob not go back with kids.
A fantastic lunchtime place to eat. COVID secure and with very friendly staff, our re-introduction to dining was brilliant! The cocktails were pretty good too.
my first return to a pub in some time and outside dining given the current restrictions were all coped with and adhered to very well by all of the staff which made for an enjoyable experience. Fortunately the sun made an appearance which no doubt helped but the food was good I had the vegan fish and chips with banana blossom replacing the fish which was my first time trying it but it was good batter was very light and crisp, the curry sauce, tartare sauce and mushy peas all good too. My partner had the fish goujon sandwich which was also excellent. The pinot grigio was also well chilled which is always welcome on a sunny day. Overall I'll be very happy to go again and looking forward to working through some of the other options.
