The Jacaranda is a legend in Liverpool, and is still living thanks to a sensitive refurbishment and reopening in 2014. Generations have passed through the Jac’s Slater Street doors since it first opened in 1958, and the venue is famously the first home of The Beatles. Now, while The Jacaranda remains first and foremost one of the city’s most beloved independent music venues, it’s decided to turn on to the Ropewalks buzzing food and drink scene with a unique restaurant-cafe-bar concept. Take a seat and chuck your favourite record onto the built-in turntables and tune in while you enjoy coffee, cake, cocktails and more. There are also private booths for a proper blissout, but whatever you do don’t pass up on the chance to record your own private press record using the Jac’s 1948 Voice-O-Graph recording machine – one of only two open to the public in the world!
