Delicious food in a wonderful restaurant with professional and helpful staff from entering the building until leaving making our visit a memorable time spent together. One of the best places to dine in Leeds.
Awesome service, awesome food. Would definitely recommend and will be back again soon.
An excellent meal....our first ever time at The Ivy. Food was perfect and both our waitresses were charming and served us with smiles and even though very busy had time to chat which was nice.
We hope to return.
I had the fishcake which was just as it should be ...crisp on the outside and soft and tasty inside. My husband had the minute steak which was cooked to perfection with a lovely sauce.
The food was of really high standard and the place itself is beautifully decorated. We loved sitting in one of the little booths. Slightly distracting was the speed at which the waiters whizz around (and I nearly bumped into one on my way to the toilet) but that did not particularly detract from what was a very lovely dining experience.
Arrived at 5.30 and told waiter we needed to be out by 6.30 as going to a concert. Order taken quickly but then long delay till 2 of our meals came and another delay until the other 2 finally arrived as we were getting more stressed . Food was just about ok although fish and chips was more batter than fish . If the restaurant had been totally full we would have understood but it wasn’t and managers and staff were running around like headless chickens. Although I pointed out the poor quality of the fish and chips this was still charged although service charge was removed but as it wasn’t waiters fault that the kitchens couldn’t cope we gave him a tip anyway.
I’m afraid this isn’t the first time the Ivy has disappointed and we won’t rush back . It’s all top show and poor value!
Have already recommended to friends. Beautiful setting, atmosphere & so well coordinated- it was busy when we arrived but we were all seated swiftly and in turn with no issue and service was attentive but not intrusive.
Food was excellent and great value. And the ladies toilets smelt blinkin lovely! Sandalwood / frankincense... just beautiful.
Will return, it was excellent.
excellent restaurant and great service from our waiter, Mir.
The food and service were outstanding we will be back
Service was excellent, great attention to detail and a warm reception.
Excellent food, excellent service. Lively atmosphere but not overly noisy.
Lovely chillled out lunch with my daughter. The food was lovely, hot and promt. Cocktails galore to choose from, and thw chocolate bomb was indeed the bomb!
Great setting , food was beautiful and staff really polite and friendly
Excellent service , a very welcoming and attentive waiter , he was reallocated to another area of the restaurant but he came to explain to us and his replacement was equally attentive and efficient without being over bearing .
It is one of the main features of eating at The Ivy , the staff are excellent and know what customer service is .
Food was delicious , one little issue was that my main meal was not quite hot enough , it was perfectly ok to eat just not as hot as I like but apologies were proffered and a coffee was offered as compensation ... perfect approach .
All in all a lovely lunch .
We were seated at a table for two and had to move every time a waiter was required to attend to our neighbouring diners which was annoying. The music was far too loud and invasive which made conversation more difficult than necessary. The problem is that there are too many tables crammed close together, thefore the music has to be loud to afford any privacy....
Excellent, we really enjoyed our lunch here. We were in a rush and the service was exemplary.
Amazing food and service as usual
Will Definitely return
Everything was very nice.
Service was excellent and the afternoon tea was delicious.
The only tiny negative was that the table was very small.
Waited a bit too long for our first drink. The food was great but a tad expensive
Enjoyable experience overall and the service was very good but overpriced for a lunch.
Had such a lovely time with our son, was beautiful food and loved the ambience. Had two starters, tuna carpaccio, butternut squash soup- really beautiful food, loved it. Love the decor, so quirky.
Gorgeous place, very elegant. Food was good value and service excellent. Loved it!
Went for an Anniversary brunch as a treat. The service and food are excellent. It is more expensive than other places but is worth it as a treat for a special occasion. The staff even sent over a complimentary cake with a chocolate saying ‘Happy Anniversary’. Was made to feel really welcome & will definitely go back.
We were greeted by front off house and we asked to sit at the bar as we were early , a group of people came in after us and they were greeted and shown directly in . We waited in the reception area for quiet a while until we asked another member off staff if we could go to the bar area and she seated us straight away she was very prompt with us not like the person in charge at front of house , she seemed very distracted and when she spoke to us it was a mumble and directed to the floor !!! This is not the service I expect at front of house , after all it’s your first impression of any establishment what sort of service you are going to receive . When we sat down to dine our waitress was wonderful we could not fault anything .It was such a shame that the lady at the beginning could not offer the same service even though she was higher ranking , shame on you for letting your team down .
We selected the Ivy because half of us are vegetarian & the Ivy has a great vegetarian selection. Service was exceptional, the waiter made us feel very special & interacted brilliantly with us.
Food great, atmosphere excellent, but it was the service that really made the evening memorable
Great food ,great service ,and a real lively enjoyable atmosphere.we will will certainly go again.
A visit to the Ivy with my husband for a post Theatre dinner. Everything excellent; atmosphere, food and service. We can't wait to return.
The food and services were exceptional the only thing we found was it was too dark to see the menu properly due to the small writing and the music was a little loud and too dance orientated. Would definitely return but maybe not on a Saturday evening.
The food and the atmosphere was great and I loved that you had a DJ on at 5pm! Staff were friendly and approachable....the only downside is that there are no toilets downstairs.
I would definitely recommend it to friends and we’ll certainly be back.
Fabulous restaurant if not slightly expensive but the food was amazing the decorations were also amazing would definitely come again.
We had to wait a long time for our food as it had been dropped on the way to the table. We were offered some olives which didn’t arrive until our meals. No further apologies. Very noisy. Very disappointing as it was the first time my elderly aunt had been to the Ivy
We had a brilliant table, attentive staff and the food was simply gorgeous. I will definitely be returning !!
I’ve visited The Ivy in London and thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is not a patch on there- it’s just like a chain. If you visited here first you wouldn’t go to the London restaurant.
Service ok - nothing special. Setting ok but it’s a bit rough around the edges - little things that leg it down. Marked napkins and the mirror at the back of the bar is dirty. Not what you would expect in this restaurant.
The steak was cooked well but let down by really cheap chips and salty spinach. Just a bit disappointing really could be great if a bit more effort made
They left parts of my breakfast of my plate and had to ask for them
Bottle of water way to expensive
3rd visit in 3 weeks .Food was good as always and the ambience being seated upstairs is amazing and much prefer this to downstairs seating . The last twice Ive dined we have had exceptionally attentive service and Fridays but the young tall waiter with long curly hair ( sorry didn't catch his name) was totally on point. My only feedback would be 20 minutes for drinks twice is the only thing that stops me from giving the venue 5 stars overall
The Leeds Ivy is one of my favourites & we had a lovely time. However the only little niggle was that we were seated at the bottom of the stairs right near the DJ & a wine bucket with wine in fur another table was left by the side of us. So we had the noise from the DJ, people passing by up & downstairs & not only the waiters coming to Taiwan a bottle of wine out of the bucket to serve to a table over rye other side of the room & retuning but we also had the people whose wine it was coming over. In the end the other people came & collected it placed it at the end of their own table.
I have no idea why this wasn’t done by the waiters in the first place. There wasn’t room at one end of their table for the DJ but there was room at the other end. This would have prevented some of the constant interruptions which were quite off putting.
The food was as delicious as always.
The staff seemed overstretched.
We didn’t get our pre lunch cocktails until after we had eaten our soup.
When we complained the manager (who was currently dealing with a complaint about cold food from the adjacent table) just said “thank you for telling us”!
The food and drinks were excellent though (lunch menu) and good value for money. 😊
Shame about the slow service which somewhat spoilt the experience.
Really enjoyed the experience. beautiful surroundings, attentive and pleasant staff and service with delicious food.
Lovely meal at the ivy was seated quickly and served quick the food was lovely well cooked and very tasty
Lovely catch up with old school friends. Great food drinks a bit pricey but usual for this type of restaurant.
Fabulous decor, wonderful service and delicious food.
