Really enjoyed a pleasant evening here while visiting Leeds.
Excellent place for any occasion. Service was fabulous although we were taken to our table which wasn’t yet ready - nevertheless was taken care of.
If nothing else the ladies toilets are fabulous - can’t speak for the gents!
Difficult to get a table at peak times so book early.
Very enjoyable ,waiter very good, food was excellent. My only concern was the seating,we were on a table for two (table No 21 ) and they were too close together. There was no privacy. That would put me off coming back, but I suppose we would ask for a different table next time.
Had a lovely time for my birthday here - staff were wonderful and the environment was so pretty.
Will definitely return 💕😊
The service from start to finish was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious, can’t wait to return.
Having eaten at The Ivy in Cambridge and being extremely impressed Leeds could not compete. The service was lacking and the food was good but not amazing. Expensive for what it was without the service and atmosphere to match the price. Afraid I won’t be rushing back.
First trip to The Ivy as a family and we all really enjoyed it. All courses were served efficiently and were all delicious. The chocolate bombe was amazing! Staff were great too.
I had afternoon tea with my girlfriends and really loved it; food was amazing and cocktails were delicious (especially my non alcoholic one:) . The place is beautifully decorated and really enjoyed our time. Perfect for a special occasion or to treat somebody:)
We really enjoyed our visit to The Ivy and would recommend going to anyone.
Our table was booked from 15:30 and service was a bit slow this time with not a lot of interaction with waiter but still pleasant.
Both food and drinks were great and would still book again
Service was a bit slow to start with - table wasn’t set properly and it took about 20 mins to get our first drink. However, it was a very busy Saturday afternoon so some waiting time is understandable.
Food and wine was great and overall experience was enjoyable.
This is my second visit to the Ivy and it was yet again a wonderful experience. The food was devine the atmosphere was amazing and I would just like to mention Thomas who was looking after my friend and I he was absolutely magnificent what a lovely young man he is a credit to The Ivy. Can’t wait for my next visit.
Our waiter was lovely.
Great variety on the menu and very reasonable prices
We visited for lunch and it was a beautiful setting, the staff could not do enough for us. The food was excellent, steaks cooked to our liking. We were on a table for two which felt quite small but that’s my only little critique. It certainly won’t put us coming back.
Monkfish and prawn curry is amazing fabulous can’t get past this dish
Just a wonderful dining experience, food service and everything 1st class
Lovely lunch with two friends - had the 2-course lunch menu and a bottle of wine. Food very good, but forgot to put the avocado on my caesar salad. Had to ask for some. Lovely buzzy atmosphere. Service good and attentive, but sadly marred at the end when the waiter "forgot" to give us our change - £10 and we had to ask where it was. Said he thought it was a tip. Certainly not when we had already paid 12.5% service charge. Would not put me off going again.
The food & setting is beautiful. Unfortunately the service wasn’t great, we had to call for the attention of the waiter a number of times, not once did anyone ask us about our food.
No thank you or anything as we left!
Not what we expected.
Great service, varied menu, good food, great ambience
Great ambiance but the food was not of the standard I expected. However, we will return and hope it will be better next time. Just loved the place though!!!
We visited the Ivy for a celebration lunch. To say we were extremely disappointed would be an understatement. We had 5 different servers between being seated and our plates being cleared. No check back was carried out or another drinks order offered. We visit the the Ivy in Edinburgh on a regular basis where the service is outstanding so we were expecting a similar experience in the Leeds restaurant. We left feeling extremely let down and it didn’t feel like the celebration lunch that we had set out to have.
Beautiful surroundings.....fabulous dining experience....exactly how going out for a meal should be very special
We had high expectations, but ultimately left feeling disappointed! Our table was dirty when we sat down, some of the staffs uniforms had stains on them. And the food was average when comparing to other restaurants in the same price bracket, thought it was overpriced for the experience we received.
Cannot fault the decor, was beautifully designed! And the waiter was pleasant that served us.
However a real opportunity missed we won’t rush back.
Surprisingly disappointed by our visit. Upon arrival we were taken to our table by the a lady at the front of house. She took us to a dirty table and proceeded to sit us down whilst she wiped crumbs onto the floor from the table. Before we could ask to be moved she left us at the table. We then waited for someone to speak to us and take our order. It took a while for anyone to come and take our drinks options.
Once someone arrive we asked for the table to be redressed, the waitress was very apologetic and did so straight away. However at this point we had already waited 20 minutes for anyone to take our drinks order. At 11am we were still waiting for our drinks to arrive and no one had been to take our food order. This took some time again. The waiter arrived but looked scruffy and had stains down his uniform. Not what we would expect at the ivy. He did however apologize for the delay.
The drinks arrived some time after and the teapots were dirty leaving stains on the table cloth. One had white chocolate all over the bottom and didn’t look like it had been cleaned. There was still a delay in getting the food out but when it did arrive it was great and we enjoyed the breakfast. When we raised the points to colleagues they did their best to rectify and removed our drinks from the bill. This was appreciated however I feel that some of these were the basics that really didn’t make for a great Fathers Day breakfast. Not what I would expect from an institution such as the Ivy and left feeling very disappointed.
Can not really fault anything other then them not having decaf tea ! The food was really good , good ingredients been used . The service was really fast and the waitresses are very attentive , always asking if u want another drink etc
Just a warning though the toilets are upstairs so anyone with walking difficulties may struggle as I didn’t see a lift . Overall very good and would recommend!
Generally good food. My veal was a little tough but it replaced with an alternative dish. Neither the veal nor the alternative were charged which was very fair.
I booked the Ivy for me and my wife for our anniversary, to which they gave us a corner seating area which was a bonus from the start off. Service was very efficient and polite from the staff, the place was impeccably clean and the whole mood was spot on for our celebrations.
Will definitely be back !
Was a nice evening, we had some parents next to us who's children were climbing all over the chairs but there is nothing the Ivy could do about that.
The soft poached egg that was with the fishcakes was over cooked but was replaced very quickly when pointed out.
Warm friendly greeting on arrival and shown straight to our table. Had the lobster linguine & crepe brûlée which both were delicious. Expensive but well worth it
The tables where we were sat are far too close to each other, to the point it felt that you were intruding on the people either side of you. Would not expect this at a restaurant of this type and it would certainly put us off going back or recommending.
Shame really because all else was good.
Beautiful food, great service.excellent restaurant .will definitely visit again and recommend to others
We were sat at the top of the stairs, which is the thoroughfare, not what I had expected! We have eaten at the Ivy before, always downstairs, and the experience was lovely. I asked to change tables and this was achieved, so the dining experience was lovely. However the people who were sitting at our original table received a birthday cake and seemed rather mistified! If it is the intention to provide a birthday cake, perhaps delivering it to the correct table would be prudent. We shall return to the ivy but will definitely ask to be seated away from the stairs
A lovely restaurant and beautifully presented. The staff were exceptionally attentive and the afternoon tea was lovely. I would recommend a visit .
The food was fabulous, so many nice things it was hard to chose. The service was spot on. The music was a bit annoying at first as it was jazz which isn't everyone's cup of tea but then the DJ came on with some fab chilled tracks. This was my first time at The Ivy but I'd like to go again.
Excellent food and service, extra treat for my daughters birthday. Thank you very much
Booked 15/6/19 for 10.15am breakfast as a treat for my daughter who had just finished her exams. Not particularly busy when we arrived. Shown to our table, ordered soft drinks and tea, which sat on the bar far too long before the waiter delivered them. Food was good, service less so, in particular - front of house, which was lacking warm hospitality.
Great food, lovely venue and whilst the service was good I was left waiting 20 minutes after my drinks order was taken before getting up and going to the bar To get them myself. I would definitely go again and I would recommend to a friend. My steak was cooked to perfection and the flavours in all the sides was amazing.
For the price I was expecting the food to be more special. Much was nice but did not match the price.
Excellent food. Fabulous service. Really loved this experience. On a 3 night stay in Leeds managed to fit in one breakfast, two lunches and one evening meal here. Just loved everything about the place.
The food and the restaurant were good. The decoration was also in keeping with all of The Ivy restaurants. The staff were not as sharp as they should have been. Some of the men were not smart enough. Managers must see things like shoddy shirts as they are what is expected. The girls were better but many of them seemed to look uncomfortable with their roles.
My daughter and I had a fantastic lunch at The Ivy. The food was outstanding and the service was spot on.
