The Ivy Tower Bridge
With interiors designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the two-floors restaurant offers guests the choice of dining within the restaurant, enjoying the view from floor to ceiling glass windows, or outside on the Parisian-style al fresco terrace seating 50 and overlooking the River Thames.
We went for a 40th birthday party dishes were not cooked properly my fish was raw and my husbands steak was overcooked! By the time our meals were redone everyone else was finished and my fish was raw again! Really disappointing having been a regular to the bath and Bristol branches staff were rude and overall it ruined our experience which was a shame!
We have visited many of the different Ivy restaurants. We were looking forward to dining at the new Tower bridge .
We ordered our regular favourite dishes from the menu . My teenage son ordered the ivy burger as usual, and ordered it plain , no sauces or garnish. The food arrived and my son’s burger had mayonnaise sauce in it. We told the waiter who quickly apologised and said he would get it replaced. When it was replaced my husband and I had finished our main meal, but we had enjoyed our food .
We payed and left . It wasn’t until we had traveled across to the other side of London we looked at the receipt and realised that we had been charge for my sons meal twice .
We traveled back to the restaurant and informed them of their error and then waited another 10 minutes for them to refund the extra meal back to my husband’s card.
I feel that at the very least they should have refunded the cost of my sons meal, seeing as it was not correct to start with and then I was charged twice for . Not to mention that he didn’t actually get to eat his meal at the same time as us .
Not the sort of service I expect from the Ivy .
Maybe the fact the ivy is more of a chain now, is why the service doesn’t feel special anymore. It’s enough to make me re think if I want to dine in any of the IVY restaurants again .
Food and wine was very good, which, after all, is what is most needed. After being to others of the Ivy chain, I was a bit disappointed in ambiance and layout - cramped, especially around the entrance, and welcome rather lukewarm. Had excellent table by window (even though hardly any view becuase of weather, but that's not the Ivy's fault!) but seemed a bit 'down market' without nice white table cloth etc. Server said the tables by window were copper(?) and they liked to have them bare, made it look like a caff. My friend who I was treating to lunch thought it very good, as did I with some little disappointments.
The overall ambiance and food quality was lovely. Shame the waitress who served our table was not as expected. No smile and abrupt which is always disappointing as I expected the customer service for the restaurant to be of a higher standard. Everyone other staff member was to be fair just unfortunately the one that served our table weren’t and did put a dampener on my overall experience. It was my idea to bring my guests to this restaurant, the occasion was to catch up with one of the guest flying visit in from Canada. I would think twice in the future.
Lovely experience, friendly attentive professional staff, great food.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and superb pork cutlet, very tender. My only complaint is that the lightning was so dim that it was difficult to read the menu, mobile phone needed.
The views were incredible. The food was delicious. A great place for a special meal with fiends or family.
It was a struggle to get someone to take our orders! Waiter/Waitress chatted away and walked pass tables several times with making no eye contact.
The food was great and the ladies at the entrance...absolutely amazing.
Host was lovely and friendly, few issues with missing cutlery etc but that was all sorted promptly. They remembered it was my mums birthday and brought out a little cake for her. I ordered an almond milk coffee, not realising the milk would be artificially sweetened (which I can't tolerate), and they were happy to change it!
Only downsides were it really smelled of fish when we entered, and there was a crying baby which obviously you can't really help but it did kill the vibe a little! They also didn't bring any condiments and after trying to get someone's attention for ages we gave up on the ketchup!
An excellent lunch. Much enjoyed by us all. Will certainly go back
Nice meal and staff nice but nothing special, I have been to I’ve in Leeds and Dublin and felt these restaurants where much better.
Lovely setting lovely atmosphere lovely food
Can’t wait to visit again
Service, ambiance and view were amazing. Good lovely. Great experience
Superb service, very attentive and a delightful dining experience!
Great food, too many tables in the venue to consider this for a nice quiet romantic meal. Our table was was felt like in a corridor as you go in the main entrance. Table next to us spent the whole time being incredibly loud and not considering others. Food was great, service great.
Great menu with something for everyone. Food was nice and hot and just as importantly it was served on hot plates. Very friendly and helpful staff
Amazing duck salad
Another superb meal and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Had to wait longer for our table than we have previously, although we arrived exactly on time - we waited for 10 minutes. The table they took us too was already set up and we'd been looking at it for the entire 10 minutes we were waiting, so unsure why the delay. We did have to chase the waitress twice for one starter that wasn't brought with the rest of the starters and butter for the soda bread was a bit stingy ! My fathers olives contained less olives and actually had jalapenos in it instead of olives. Good job his palette could take it ! Overall a lovely experience, but these three points I had not experienced on our previous visits.
Great setting for dinner overlooking the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.
We really appreciated the range of vegetarian and vegan dishes available. All of the food was excellent, especially the vegetarian Shepherd's Pie with the oyster mushroom core. Have already recommended to friends.
Excellent food and location - the service was as expected for a restaurant of this calibre still think 12 1/2 % service charge is a little steep. Still wouldn't stop me from returning.
Food was amazing, place is decorated amazingly inside, the view is incredible. But if you are round the front of the restaurant it is loud, felt like I was shouting at my mum across the table.
Beautiful place, very good food, warm staff. A bit pricey, but expected for this area.
Realy good. Good service and nice and clean. Friendly
Food was ok, but nothing above average. Lamb was very tough and the vegetables were verging on uncooked. I'm all for al dente, but beans were 'stringy' and decidedly not cooked on any level.
Pudding was ok but again nothing outstanding. Frozen berries is an interesting concept but these were so frozen they were again verging on inedible. Non negotiable service charge of £12 was also very steep given the service was ok but again not exceptional. Given the price being charged for the decidedly average meal I was not impressed at having to pay a further £12 just to have someone bring it to me...
Great service and excellent foox
World class service and food!
Had a very nice early evening dinner with my 11 years old grandson and our service was lovely and front of house staff were also delightful. I’ve been to this restaurant before always before going to see something at the Bridge Theatre.
Had a nice evening at the Ivy TB. Lovely ambience and seat. Food nice, feel it's bordering on becoming higher priced than the quality of food is worth - but the selection means it's good menu for many tastes. Service felt a bit rushed and domineering. It would be good if that could be relaxed a touch. But otherwise, very nice and would come back again.
Excellent service by the wine waiter complemented by good food.
I met my Friend for a meal here at Tower Bridge London and found the Staff to be very Helpful Polite and the provided outstanding Customer Service.
The Food and drinks were High Quality we'll definitely be returning
Thanks and keep up the great work !
Fantastic in every way; location , staff & of course that amazing menu !
A wonderful dinner, excellent food and we were well attended to by the staff (our waiter was called Salvatore I think, he was great). We were initially placed on the side part of the restaurant, but on request got swiftly moved to a table with a view of Tower Bridge and the Thames. Would certainly recommend.
Over the two courses we had in a group of 4 we had several items that never arrived. Which was more frustrating because as soon as the food arrived the wait staff disappeared. Service was poor throughout. Food was ok but nothing to get excited about, and price did not match quality. Wasn’t overly busy but was still loud, presumably the acoustics are bad.
Very pleasant evening, excellent food and service. Lighting could be a little brighter.
A business lunch for 5 people. Great location & excellent service, food is good but not exceptional.
What really frustrates is that main courses do not come with any accompaniments even at the high prices this place charges.
Staff couldn’t be more friendly. Would highly recommended the Aromatic Duck Curry.
Definitely going back soon.
Gorgeous food and lovely staff. Beautiful surroundings. My only issue was that my teapot let the tea go cold, although if I had spoken up I’m sure I could have got a refill. I’m also slightly surprised that unlimited coffee isn’t included in the price.
Really good lunch. My only complaint was that it was a bit noisy. But maybe I'm getting old...
A delightful experience from the moment we were warmly welcomed at the door. The menu was varied, with a number if options for all tastes, the service was friendly and attentive and the food was well presented, ample and, most importantly, delicious.
The views of Tower Bridge and the river, even on a wet and windy night are beautiful and make the experience complete. I will definitely return when visiting London again.
