The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Decorated with artworks inspired by Soho’s music scene, as well as William Blake (Broadwick’s most famous resident), the space is made up of a restaurant, bar, private dining room and terrace with Parisian-style seating. Open seven days a week, the modern British menu will be available from dawn till dusk for local workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to enjoy. Being located in Soho, the brasserie will have a DJ spinning music every Friday and Saturday from 7pm and on weekends during brunch until close.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s look and feel has been created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools.
We chose from the set menu and both ordered the soup to start and risotto for main. The soup arrived and was cold - when we mentioned it they replaced it without fuss stating the new chef used to serve it cold where he/she worked previously. The pea and asparagus risotto had very little taste and was more veg and less risotto. Such a shame on both fronts but the manager was quick to refund the main courses.
Amazing food. Great service. Particularly from a Russian waiter. Very attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place
Lovely Sunday brunch
I love going to The Ivy Soho Brasserie. Such a lovely restaurant with great ambiance and great food! Our's was a pre-theatre tea so our waiter made sure our order arrived super quick so we have plenty of time to eat, drink & enjoy.
Beautiful food and great value for money. Service was ok - would have expected service to match the prestige of the Ivy brand so slightly underwhelmed in that regard. That aside, beautiful decor and food to match.
Another lovely lunch at the Brasserie. Can highly recommend the Apple Tart!
Nice venue but having a DJ playing loud music in a restaurant wasn't for me, especially when trying to have a conversation over dinner with friends.
Apart from the burger, which was bland, tuff and chewy the food was pretty good, especially the sourdough bread!
Ok Ivy you win. I’m too old to eat here any more. Service was great, food good, but having to shout at my companion for two hours trying to be heard over the Drum & Bass is so not my idea of fun. If I’d wanted to go clubbing I’d have gone clubbing. All I wanted was an enjoyable meal in a comfortable setting. Good marks for the first, zero for the second. I shall leave you to your 20 somethings.
I've been here several times and it is always excellent. First class service. The food is good and reasonably priced. Strongly recommended.
Phenomenal service and amazing food. Our server was attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our experience one to be remembered. Five star dining in London without the hefty price tag. Decor and ambience makes it a luxurious and comfortable place to dine. Cocktails are incredible. Our new favourite restaurant in London!
You can't really go wrong with a visit to one of the many The IVY Brasserie branches. At the Soho branch it was as enjoyable as ever. The menu is great, the decor eye-catching and with eclectic art on every wall. Our visit this week was Ok. The table was in a very noisy part of the restaurant. We like a buzzy atmosphere, but it was a bit hectic, and the service was patchy. But, it won't stop us going back, just maybe not as soon as we maybe would.
Had a wonderful meal here for my Mother's birthday. There were 6 of us, the staff were brilliant and attentive and made it very special and the food was exquisite. Thank you!
The service was amazing! The place is perfect for a group meal. And, the food is great.
Nice table at the back after I requested a quiet table for a business meeting
Food was amazing as usual felt the service was little slow drinks had taken a long time as soon as they arrived food arrived to time to enjoy them before food. But good amazing
The food came really quickly and was very tasty. Also the dessert was an absolute joy! One of the best I have tried ! It was the chocolate bomb!
I've been to many of The Ivy Brasseries and would usually consider it a 'banker', so when a friend from Australia and his colleague were in town, suggested going here. Disappointingly, it was well below the usual standard. Service was extremely slow and we had to chase a number of times for drinks and food. We were recommended the Monkfish curry and prawn curry by the waiter, which two of our party ordered. However, after eating a few mouthfuls we realised that neither dish had any prawns! We notified the waiter, who whisked the meals away. He returned to let us know they were making new dishes but by the time they arrived, our other two companions had long finished. We waited a long time for our dessert orders to be taken and then 3 desserts arrived when only 2 had been ordered. Thankfully the curry dishes were removed from the bill, but I won't be rushing back to this particular Ivy.
A lovely meal post theatre. Delicious food and great service from Andrea F.
Pretty disappointing experience. We waited for half an hour for our table despite booking the table weeks in advance. There were children in our party and the long wait meant they were bored and hungry and whiny which set an increasingly sour mood.
The hostess was apologetic about the situation which was appreciated, and gave us some free starters.
However the “free” starters was added to our bill to the end!
Also the waiter forgot all of our drinks - we ordered sparkling water, cocktails etc, none arrived. Not even water initially which they served only half way through the meal.
The food was delicious though, compliments to the chef. But atrocious waiting staff that particular day we went. It wasn’t this bad on previous occasions so I really Hope
It was a one off situation
Waited 40 mins for a waiter before we had to ask to see maitre d , then where told he was busy!!! Service is not what it should be for restaurant of this reputation!!! Will not be returning or recommending to anyone
Omg, those guys are amazing. Great service and me and my lady had a great time.
Definitely will continue to visit.
I booked this for an intimate birthday and the service was excellent. Staff were courteous and helpful but not too much. It was a Saturday night and the place was at capacity but staff still made us feel like valued customers and this makes me want to visit again.
The cocktails were excellent especially the Club Tropicana, Electric Warrior and Caipirinha.
Moving on to food we ordered arancini and olives as pre starter nibbles and despite the arancini being much smaller than expected they were amazing. The olives by contrast were huge nearly as big as the arancini in fact.
The smoked salmon starter was as expected and equally good, whilst the steak tartare starter was as amazing as the presentation. It comes in a Perspex box with smoking wood beside it.
Mains were also very good the Veal paillard being very tender and tasty while the Chicken Milanese was perfect. It’s easy to make the chicken too dry but they got it just right.
Finally the dessert was excellent too the brûlée was made perfectly but to my mind the Apple Tarte Fine flambé was the better more tasty dish, and I love a brûlée.
All in a wonderful evening.
It was a really nice restaurang, the food, drinks and atmosfer. I would love to bock this restaurant again!
It was a very busy Saturday night when we visited but the service was faultless from start to finish. We asked for a wine recommendation and were recommended the house wine and offered a taster of it before ordering - I was impressed that there was no upselling of a more expensive bottle of wine. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere very buzzy with a DJ playing a great choice of music. Its not a place for a quiet romantic dinner as the noise levels are high but great if you want a buzzy night out with friends with great food, wine, service and atmosphere.
This restaurant was fantastic! The food was brilliant but the atmosphere was great too, good music and full of nice friendly people.
It’s a bit pricey but I suppose if you want a great dining experience in London it’ll cost you... definitely worth every penny.
You have to order the rib eye for your main!!!
Suoerb food and service
Enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon with friends. Good atmosphere although I personally found the background music too loud for the time of day. Service was excellent. One of our party was even presented with a complimentary patisserie for her birthday.
Great place to meet for a business breakfast during the week and brunch with friends at the weekend!
Saturday brunch had lively atmosphere , staff courteous and service timely. We were a little disappointed that there was no live music. The menu had good choices for light breakfast, as well as more filling such as Eggs Benedict, as well as soup or main meals. The food was good for vegetarians as well as for a nephew who ordered steak, and I loved my lobster and asparagus dish. A thoughtful touch by the staff was when they brought a mini cake with one candle to celebrate our niece’s 21st birthday. We all had a lovely morning in a memorable restaurant.
Friday night gets pretty lively in this place, but if you're prepared for that then it's great, maybe not a place to bring your gran.
They honestly could not have looked after us better, even making a fuss of my small daughter and entertaining her with napkin art. A great place.
Having heard mixed things about this place we personally found it to be a real treat. Looks great and service was slick and professional, my only gripe might be that things were a bit too speedy.
We had a great time celebrating my partners birthday here, one too many cocktails but then we just couldn't help ourselves they were that good! The Lobster linguine was delicious and my favourite dessert in london is the chocolate bomb with salted caramel sauce!
Service was spot on, food and drinks were reasonably priced and location is perfect for quick pit stop when shopping all day!
Good service & good food but just too noisy for a relaxed conversation.
Excellent meal as ever. The cocktail team are very entertaining could sit and watch them all night.
I would recommend lots on the menu especially the steak tartare the lobster risotto and the prawn and monkfish curry.
The pate starter and a side of super warm freshly baked sourdough very naughty but very nice.
Great evening.I look forward to returning soon.
Lovely dining room, service better than previous visits, atmosphere excellent, my friend who's first visit was impressed. I will question the amount/quantity of monkfish and prawn in the curry, but it tasted very nice.
The service was extremely poor. Extremely slow. We felt neglected.
The waiter clearly needed further training. A female manager came to our rescue..... hurried up
the food and reduced our bill.
Had lunch on Thursday. Service was extremely attentive. Food was excellent.
Normally the lunches here are faultless but it must have been an off day. When we recieved food, two of the dishes were wrong. They bought out a third dish and side dish and left these on the table. By the time the 2 correct dishes where bought out, the side dish was cold and the meal left had been eaten.
