The Ivy Spinningfields will occupy an impressive, timber framed space within a new development, The Pavilion, surrounded by greenery yet located in the heart of the city.
On the top floor of The Ivy Spinningfields, will be Manchester’s first Roof Garden. With a fully retractable roof, the spectacular space will be open all year round. Guests will enjoy food and cocktails alongside an abundance of planting, greenery and foliage, roaring fire pits and colourful fabrics, all creating an enchanting oasis in the heart of Manchester.
Great afternoon drinking champagne and cocktails.
The atmosphere at the Ivy is very relaxing without being dull, food and service were simply lovely, a very pleasant lunch and I will definitely be returning in the very near future, many thanks
Fabulous food in a beautiful, relaxed setting and super-helpful staff plus prices lower than expected. What’s not to love?
My 2nd time to the ivy and it's the food that let's it both times.both visits I've sent my food back.
Smoke and mirrors the ivy.
Absolutely loved our lunch at the ivy rooftop restaurant. Feels green and lush. The atmosphere is vibrant. Food was delicious and good value for money. Can’t wait to go back
Loved the atmosphere and decor of the Roof top garden
Food was delicious but the portions could have been bigger and contain more of the main ingredient ie Prawn cocktail contained only 6 prawns for £10!
Food was defo overpriced
Service charge should not be automatically added to the bill it should be discretionary..... £20 tip was excessive.
Music very loud needs turning down a notch or two
Really nice setting, good music, relaxed vibes. Service a little slow but it wasn't an issue. The staff were really friendly too.
A lovely experience for myself and my son ,I will be revisiting asap with the rest of my family.i am also interested in booking the private room for a special birthday.
I have visited the roof terrace on a few previous occasions and recently booked a meal for my partners birthday. The food was excellent, the service was efficient and the staff friendly and attentive. After the meal we sat at the bar and found the bar staff again very friendly and engaging and because of this we stayed there until 2.30am when the bar closed. The roof terrace has a very welcoming appeal to it, the decor is beautiful and the staff very welcoming. I expect to pay many more visits in the future.
Always have great food and a good time at the Ivy Manchester. It is down to the staff from finding the table we wanted, the table & food service. Plus being escorted under his umbrella in the Mancester rain by the doorman to our next bar , nice touch, thanks guys. 😁
We booked our table for 5.45, attended and seated quickly, took some time for the drinks order to be taken, then again for food order, the roof garden was extremely busy, the music playing was continuous, what I would call house music, and overall, too noisy with being full to capacity. Having said that, the food was good and our waiter tried his best with the business of the restaurant.
absolutely loved it, service, food, drinks amazing
We were there to celebrate our anniversary and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We would definitely return. There is a lovely atmosphere and the food is amazing. Thanks.
Although always busy the ambiance is relaxed and pleasant. The staff are well presented, polite, friendly yet professional. A great range of food on the menu which caters well for vegan and vegetarian diets and is a refreshing change.
The waitress was very attentive and we really couldn’t fault the service. I had 3 pieces of crab shell in my crab salad to which the service manager explained was due to the chef rushing this morning!! Won’t be rushing back to pay fine dining prices for just above average food. Overall quite underwhelming.
We attended on Fri for my Mums Birthday - Luca was a great host and made it really special for my Mum x A great place to eat and lovely atmosphere 👍
This was our first visit to the The Ivy and I have to say, we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic, the waitress was very professional and very welcoming, which in my opinion, made the whole night. I had the lobster linguini followed by the chocolate bombe. One of the best meals ive had.
We shall be visiting again soon!
This was my second visit to The Ivy and as previously I thoroughly enjoyed the experience
Had a wonderful night food, atmosphere and service was spot on!
Food was excellent. The only downside was that our coffee arrived cold, however this was soon rectified by our waitress (?Chloe) who exchanged it for piping hot coffee
My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at The Ivy. I couldn't recommend the Ivy enough - it's what many restaurants pretend to be but fall short - we felt like we were their only customers and the menu was made for us!
Good food and great ambience . Been several times but think the Roof terrace restaurant has the nicest ambience
really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, I personally thought our table was too small and far too close to the next table as they joined in our conversation which I didn't particularly like.
overall a very good experience and we will be returning soon.+
Excellent venue on the roof terrace. Great service
This was probably my 7th visit. I love this place so much, from ambient to food and service always 1st class. I shall be back soon
Amazing venue, each floor with a different quirky theme and DJ creating a perfect ambience. Food was delicious and service good!
We had cocktails in the roof garden. Beautiful restaurant, great service, delicious cocktails! We’ll be back
For somewhere that has obviously had a lot of money spent on it, don’t believe the hype. The venue itself is very nice, but the roof top restaurant is poor. We arrived and were shown 15mins late to our table, had to chase for service (despite a dozen or so staff buzzing around), after 10minutes of being sat down - not even offered a drink - then our main meals, two steaks arrived, both over cooked and cold. When we sent them back we were told the ‘chef was happy with them’... overall as we went for our first wedding anniversary so it was a special occasion, it was a complete let down. Very disappointed to the point they gave us money off the bill. Would not go again.
Excellent food and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. We dined on the rooftop terrace. Pistachio and raspberry Sundae is a must try! Staff were lovely and attentive.
Honestly for the price the food was average at best mine was over cooked my husbands was nice but for £30 just for a small steak with no sides you'd expect much more than nice! Also me and my husband were virtually sat on the customers either side of us! Very intrusive seating arrangements. I think at this place your paying for the name and exclusivity rather than an actual 5* dining experience, the decor was amazing so great to take selfies in but that's it really, I wouldn't recommend it to people who truly want value for money.
Loved it. I will come back. Hopefully when it is sunny.
Enjoyed the experience but with the background music a little noisy for me but the table was alongside the DJ.
It was a birthday meal booked in advance it was like being in a nightclub couldn’t have a decent conversation I thought we were at PARKLIFE. Chair had to be exchanged because food was still on it from the last diners. Ordered the sourdough bread which was still cooking when it arrived overall food was overpriced and the service was lukewarm didn’t even acknowledge the birthday which was clearly written on the ADVANCED booking can only apologise to friends who had traveled from London to join in birthday celebrations the London Ivy us so much better would never go to the IVY in Manchester.
I think the Ivy roof garden looks amazing and if the weather was dry it's probably a very nice place to dine and drink. If, however you get the terrible waiter that we did then you may change your mind about the whole experience. 6 of us ate, but I had a very bad experience with an extremely hot chilli pepper masquerading as a Padron pepper. The waiter was rude and didn't seem to understand the issue, brought over more extras than we ordered and was so reluctant to take them away we ended up with £15 worth of peas! The shepherd's pie is amazing and well worth sampling, just be careful of the halloumi with Padron peppers. Everything else is well worth experiencing, food is reasonably priced drinks not bad either. I've been a few times and will go back again. Tried different dishes each time and only once have I left with a bad taste in my mouth from both the food and the waiter! All other staff who have waited on our table have been fantastic
My 3rd time here and it's still by far the best place to eat !!! Thanx again for a lovely time
Atmosphere and Food absolutely superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Ivy.
Service great, food fine but the tables are so small and don't give much room to comfortably eat.
Went act lunch and mains took 50 mins to arrive . The supervisor without being asked came to apologise. The main courses of sword fish and codfood was average . The desserts were lovely
A person on the next table complained that her fish main course was cold as was her aides of fries
It powered there were not enough people working in the kitchen to cope with the amount of customers
Very nice establishment. Starters were delicious, had the burger for a main but it was rather dry and underwhelming. Wouldn’t have the burger again.
Atmosphere was excellent and service too. We waited a long time for our food and it was quite cold on arrival but apart from that we had a great evening... Oh but proper wine glasses please 😁
