Food was good and atmosphere was ok. Value for money just ok. I hope the waiters get to keep the full service charge as she was very good ad polite.
We visited the Ivy last Thursday to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Everything was very nice and the girls who looked after our table was lovely. We love the chocolate bombs but wish all 3 sauces were equally hot (one chocolate ball didn’t melt). Overall we had a very nice evening. Thanks
We had the two course meal. Soup starter and salmon starter was amazing. Steak main meal was a bit tough and the chicken breast was a bit dry. It was still a great meal at an amazing restaurant with beautiful decor
Service was lovely, food was only ok for the price, wouldn’t make me rush back
It was a really good experience and so well organised with the current situation well done to all.
Excellent service , good food and drinks , good location
Excellent meal once again in a beautiful setting
Some brightness in the midst of the current gloom of 2020
Excellent really enjoyed the experience. Yummy food!
Excellent location and quality of food and service
Food and surroundings were amazing. The guy serving our table was fantastic, everything he recommended to us was fabulous. Will definitely go again
Fab venue with very attentive and friendly staff. Food was good.
Had a fab lunch with my mam, great value for 3 course meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Will be back again!
I love the atmosphere and the decor at the Ivy and accept that on a Monday evening during a pandemic the atmosphere would be very subdued and quiet. All well except our waitress was very indifferent, disinterested and distracted.
I really hope you survive the crisis in your industry and look forward to visiting again soon.
Extensive menu but expensive for what it is. 3 of us had the fillet steak and paid extra for chips and sauce as per menu , and it was average at best, no trimmings, frozen chips and no effort with presentation.
The meal was booked to celebrate a 40th birthday and despite messaging in plenty of time to order the birthday cake which you could provide for 24euros when it was served it was frozen or stale but rock hard and inedible. Was sent back and an apology given but perhaps an offer of a complimentary dessert or drink would have been fitting, seeing as it spoilt the celebratory meal which we had tried so hard to organise to be special.
I wouldn't recommend and I would not return again.
The restaurant decor itself is beautiful. Unfortunately the food does not live up to the same standard. The food is good, just not inine with the cost or venue. Service was the major issue. Staff were well trained an attentive but everything was very rushed. You literally just put down your utensils when your plate was whipped away and less than five minutes later the next dish was there. This type of service comes from management and really takes away from the enjoyment of eating out. It is as if they are trying to push you along and out as quickly as possible.
Really good food. Super pleased with service and food.
Vegan curry was very bland, it was noisy, the staff were friendly though
Nice place we were there Sunday at 6pm and it was very pleasant
Had a great time once again at the ivy the food is fantastic and the staff are great! I can’t wait for the next time I am in Dublin and I can enjoy the ivy again!
The vegetarian menu is really good - healthy but moreish, and decent portions with gorgeous breads and sides. The decor is ornate but the restaurant itself is casual, very comfortable and relaxing. It's not cheap, and there is a service charge no matter how many of you there are. The staff, from the people at the front desk to the waiting staff, were absolutely lovely. Even though we had the vegetarian options we were still asked if there were any specific things we could not eat, which was a lovely touch.
Great Brunch experience with my husband, lovely food and nice atmosphere.
Birthday lunch with friends, the ivy is very consistent, food, service and atmosphere lovely as always. My only critique would be that the menu has been the same probably since it opened. They do have specials but would be nice to see the menu changed up a bit.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food & good customer service.
We had a fantastic night out here for my daughter's birthday. The staff were so attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was buzzing and the interiors are beautiful.
Beautiful setting, food ambience... would highly recommend and will definitely be returning very soon.
Brought my wife for her birthday. Staff were outstanding from the moment we arrived. Food was excellent and a lively atmosphere while remaining distanced.
We had a lovely dinner, service was great and food was delicious.
Great friendly service, had minute steak recommended by staff to get it medium even though normally I would get Med to well and it was perfect.
Great experience with my girl friends and will be back with my hubby.
I was very unimpressed with the 12.5% service charge for my table of 3 people who only ordered a main course each and 3 drinks each!
We were in the restaurant approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes due to the current circumstances, therefore I feel the service charge was beyond steep!
Food was tasty albeit over priced, chips portion was shocking.... 7 in total or something?
Would not return nor would I recommend, very disappointed.... mainly due to the extortionate service charge, appalling...
From the moment we walked in we felt very welcome and at ease. The staff were very polite and friendly. The cocktails were fantastic and the food was beautiful. highly recommend for a nice occasion or a treat, Its a pity we could only stay the 1hr 45 mins but enjoyed every minute and every bite.
Excellent Service and atmosphere was really lovely. Food was nice overall, but it was very expensive for what we ordered.
Had breakfast here for my daughters 10th birthday. It was gorgeous and they brought her a wee cream bun for her birthday so she was extra delighted! Such a beautiful place.
The staff was rude and not accommodating
not value for money
Drinks were amazing
very few vegetarian options
Nice ambience. The meat was good but the fish not that much
Found a hair in desert, mains where amazing so was the starter. Price was good value. Shame about the desert. Staff where very pleasant and help full. The decor was fab and the lay out extremely nice
Came to celebrate both sons finishing and starting university, their idea.. they both enjoyed it.
Beautiful ambience, great value, lovely staff even if they got a bit muddled, they put everything right.
the chocolate bombe stole the show! 😍 there needs to be more of a variety in the cocktail menu and the chicken was very bland more seasoning is need not just black pepper and salt 💁🏾♀️ it was the food for me that was a let down everything else was fine
Service was fantastic.
All the food so tasty and presented beautiful.
Drinks were so impressive the way they were served.
Will return soon
