The Ivy never disappoints for a reunion evening with good friends. Fabulous atmosphere combined with great service and topped off with delicious food make it a "return to" venue in Dublin.
On a wet evening the welcome was warm and we were shown to our table immediately. The waitress handled the process of reminding us about leaving our table sensitively and well - she gave a 15 minute warning by which time we were happily ready to decamp to the bar!
You made my dads birthday so special. Food was excellent as was the service. Thank you
Beautiful modern restaurant with great food & lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend the food & the chocolate bombe is to die for. Very helpful and friendly staff. Overall a lovely place to eat & worth making a booking
Went for afternoon tea with my daughter. Everything lovely. Only thing I’d change is a better selection of sandwiches for vegetarians & offer another pot of tea. One pot wasn’t enough for the two hours we were there. Would highly recommend the afternoon tea.
There's always a great buzz, the food is lovely, extensive menu and good service.
Pre dinner Cocktails are amazing & superbly efficient friendly staff. The food was fab. The chocolate bomb is amazing
It was a lovely night and the staff were exceptional and nothing was a trouble.. The food was excellent and we definitely hope to return in soon!
Absolutely beautiful surroundings, decor fabulous. Food was really delicious, staff were very attentive. Will def be back
I really enjoyed my visit to The Ivy for breakfast earlier this week. I was entertaining a colleague from Boston and wanted to bring him somewhere with great food, a warm and cosy ambience but also private where we could chat freely about business without being overheard. The Ivy did more than tick all of these boxes and the staff were so welcoming and friendly, we'll definitely be back!
Great food, wonderful atmosphere really worth a visit.
Another lovely evening meal at the Ivy. As usual staff were very polite and courteous and the food was amazing.
Excellent and enjoyable experience, took my daughter and her Aunt for her 21st birthday, very very enjoyable, atmosphere and ambience was electric, food excellent, requested window seat and got one which I was most impressed with. Brought out a desert with a candle in it for my daughter which I thought was a lovely touch, have been here numerous times and each occasion seems to be more enjoyable than the last.
Best breakfast in a long time ,thank you , definitely be returning very soon
Good varied menu. Good service. Good vibrant ambience
Lovely room and the food was generally very good. Would definitely return.
The food is amazing in The Ivy, although i have heard that they do not cook a lot of the food on site which is a bit strange. They forgot to bring our chips and we had to ask 3 times for them, they then arrived when we finished our mains. The waitress kept trying to clear our plates and drinks when we were not finished but the decor and the food itself really saves the experience.
Really lovely afternoon tea...food and service were both outsmarting! The decor is to die for too - Feels like a real treat!
Food was great , Service was average maybe it’s because they know that a hefty service charge is added to every table! Nice ambiance and decor but slow service was frustrating
Very efficient staff service.
Too many bones in Sole however. Will offset off the bone in future.
Returning this Fri.
Lovely meal and very relaxed. Very good service without being overly attentive!
Delicious tasty food beautifully presented. The service was excellent. The staff were smartly turned out and very attentive. It’s a beautiful restaurant, vibrant colours and tastefully designed.
There is a certain coldness that I believe is inculcated into the staff which believes that keeping a certain distance gives the place a high-born character. This is a myth and I, like many others, would like a friendly smile on arrival and not a quiffed man boy trying to be sophisticated. Our table was not ready on time but that meant we could visit the bar and watch the two cocktail waiters not make eye contact with anyone who approached the bar. We waited close on 9 minutes before we were served. That wasn't good. It doesn't take much to encourage a warmer attitute from the staff.
Overall very good. But so noisy (even though we requested and were given a quiet spot in restaurant. It certainly was quieter than previous visit, but sill nosier than most other restaurants of a similar standard. Was with someone hard of hearing and it’s just off putting).
Great service though. Love the pot of coffee.
Could hear the entire conversations of tables either side. Doubles far too close together. Wine wasn’t chilled when served & ran out of sirloin steak! Disappointing first visit.
This is a Wonderfull place where you can enjoy with your friends or boyfriend I loved it.
Great ambience and comprehensive menu. Attentive but not intrusive service. Food excellent and beautifully executed.
Everything was perfect from start to finish, the noise level was just nice it made the atmosphere more relaxed. Some people were overly dressed some werent so it was pretty laid back. We were there for my husbsnds 40th on valentine's weekend. The food was incredible the service even better and it wasnt as expensive as i thought. I will definitely be back.
Beautiful afternoon tea for my sisters birthday with a lovely touch of a birthday cake, chocolate and candle for her also included. Definitely will be back.
I didn’t catch our servers name but she was a lovely person (short hair in a bob) thanks so much!
Great service, made to feel comfortable in The Ivy. Great food and good value for money. Beautiful restaurant.
Amazing service, very welcoming, food was fantastic overall made our experience brilliant.
Really nice setting for a special occasion but our experience of the service was really poor. Multiple mistakes with our order, a hair in one of the drinks, server clearing our plates did ask how everything was, waited ages for desert order to be taken and had to get someones attention, same when it came to paying the bill. Main courses we nice but nothing special. Credit goes to the deserts which were really good!
I would return for the setting only but definitely not the service.
We had brunch at the Ivy, the food was excellent, extremely fast service. We finished off with the chocolate bomb dessert ! To die for ...
It was a lovely meal but very expensive. We bought had steak which was nearly €35 each but nothing accompanied it. We had to pay extra for a sauce, fries and veg. We eat out a lot but were taken aback by the price and all the extras on top of the meal.
What a fabulous experience
Food service and ambiance all wonderful
Fabulous food and service and great atmosphere. Beautiful dining room
Overpriced mediocre food, nice decor and setting but not worth the money you pay.
The monkfish curry was absolutely overpowered with coriander and inedible. To be charged 12.5% service charge for 2 people is also an absolute joke. Not worth the money whatsoever.
Absolutely outstanding staff who were all so pleasant. Myself and my partner had a beautiful meal and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We’ll definitely be back!
Ambiance is amazing. One feels like as if dining in a botanic garden 😊 Though every dish tastes delicious, menu is very standard. It could a bit excitement and new flavors
