The drinks are a bit expensive. The food was beautiful. My favourite was the chicken milanase with spinach as a side. Would definitely like to go back for afternoon tea.

We met for Sunday lunch. The Ivy is a visually stunning restaurant with a great ambience.

The quality of the meal was top notch and the service was good.

The Ivy isn’t cheap but it’s definitely a nice treat every now and then.

Fantastic food and service.
A little too noisy . However the atmosphere and value for money made up for the noise

Fabulous from start to finish. From welcome to leaving couldn’t fault. Food was amazing. Scallops to die for and steak cooked to perfection. Our waiter for the evening was friendly, gave us all specials and never left our glasses empty..

Lovely restaurant with beautiful decor and a real buzzy atmosphere. Very efficient with no waiting around at all to be seated or served. Food is very nice. Staff extremely friendly. Only issue is the waiter keeps the wine in a bucket away from the table but then keeps forgetting to pour it so when we were finished our meal we realised we still had at least half a bottle left over. Apart from that a definitely gorgeous lunch and will be back

Service although pleasant was slow. I don’t think this was the fault of our waiter. Everything from drinks to food seemed to take a long time. I do not like the implementation of the procedure regarding service charge/tipping. Tips should be divided among staff as an extra not a supplement to management to assist with staff pay. Perhaps the managerial attitude to staff contributes to the high turnover and associated issues.

My only complaint was when we were asked to move from our table at 3.30 there was not availability of a seat at the bar to have another drink.

Food taste was mediocre at best for brunch. No vegan milk for coffee other than soy... really unusual for a go-to restaurant. Surroundings and ambiance are really lovely - need to work on really tasty brunch (it was only half full in a Saturday afternoon which says a lot). Also better vegan options.

Food and service was amazing. 30 mins into our booking the floor manager came over and said they would need the table back. I was shocked. I have been to many top restaurants in Dublin and never experienced that. I would be very reluctant to return.

Our waiter rudely asked us to leave our table despite 1) serving us additional drinks 2) several vacant tables available and 3) a 3pm lunch booking so not like it was a busy period

Everything was fantastic, beautiful meal and exceptional service.

Still don’t like the fact they add on a service charge without asking. Asked the waiter to remove it & gave them cash instead, as the tipping policy is still Taboo

Superb food and good lunchtime price. Service was slow, lethargic and inattentive though. Discussed this with the manager and the waiter then came to ask what he had done wrong: not the best response, I would suggest.

First visit here and will be back. On line booking worked well and table was immediately available. Very nice setting. Staff immediately on hand. We were not rushed to give our order. Food was enjoyable and a good medium priced wine list available. Also very good Irish coffee. Nice dining experience.

The food is sub standard for the price. Very cheap food at high prices which is a pity because the service, the decor and overall vibe of the restaurant is quite good. Seriously needs to improve the food to get me to revisit.

Very expensive for what we got,
Early bird menu a joke very little choice,
Sheppard’s pie size suitable for a baby and so dry.
And to top it service charge for 4 people????
And staff still not getting tips Shocking.
Who were excellent.
Shame such a cool place.

We had a delicious lunch in The Ivy. As the four sisters rarely get together, there was lots to chat about and we sat a long time over the meal but at no time did we feel they were rushing us

Food was incredible and it was a lovely meal in the grand scheme of things, but I must say our waiter was very rude and kept loitering around our table as if he wanted us to leave or hurry up with our meal. Which in my opinion really disrupted my experience and kept me and my girlfriend very on the edge as if we had to leave and hurry up. For the place this is and money I’m paying I would expect the courtesy to be left in peace to eat my meal and not have the topic of conversation be... “oh let’s hurry and leave” on our anniversary. Overall though food was great

I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea in the Ivy, I went there for my nana's birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was perfect, staff were friendly and efficient considering how busy the restaurant was at the time. It really felt like a luxurious treat from start to finish!

Im glad i didnt listen to previous negative reviews. Staff were really friendly & efficient. The 3 of us dining are coeliac and this was accommodated no problem with gluten free eggs benedict & pancakes. The brunch prices are very reasonable & the setting really cosy.

The atmosphere and service were great.
However our food was at best Luke warm and veering more on the cold side of even that.
It seemed to be the 2 servings of blackened cod that were most thermally challenged.
