Beautiful restaurant. Good breakfast menu. Juice was disappointing - did not taste freshly squeezed
I was ok but the two ladies had a view of a rather large chap up a ladder for most of the time sorting out the flowers outside and round the windows of the conservatory section. Thinking he would soon be finished and move on we didn't ask to change the table. By the end the ladies felt that it had spoiled the enjoyment because it was continuous throughout the whole meal which was 3 courses and coffee. I had a minute steak which I asked for pink and came out well done. Good taste though! And the sauce on it was excellent. We all enjoyed the food. I ordered the Temperenillo and a bottle of chablis - total £80. Even though I know about the mark up in restaurants I was expecting a bit better with the duero red. It was just OK for me. By and large we enjoyed the experience. Its easy to be picky. And, despite the above I would recommend to friends. I have marked low on ambience due to the flower arranger and a rather noisy group of men on the next table otherwise certainly all would have been good to v.good.
Delicious food, beautiful surroundings and excellent value set weekday menu! Will be returning again.
A great place to eat. The food is very good but be selective on what you order. Be brave and adventurous is my advice - if it sounds standard, it will be standard.
Service is excellent if not a little stretched.
great time, food was great staff were very attentive
The price doesn't reflect the quality of food, ambience or service. My burger was dry and had a bit of gristle in it. The waiters took forever to take our order and gave us the wrong menu. Its loud in there and very packed. I paid £22 for a burger and a drink.. dissapointed!
Found the food a bit under seasoned and the duck starter overcooked and dry.
For the price rather disappointing.
Usual good service and atmosphere for my daughter’s Birthday celebration lunch.
Nice food and good staff.
The waitress was sooo miserable, I’m not sure the staff are too happy in this place
Food was amazing though
Overall the whole evening was excellent, food was great, atmosphere was good and service was friendly and professional
Me and my partner were really looking forward to our visit to The Ivy, having had a positive experience at other branches. However we were left disappointed as the burger was dry and over cooked and we felt that it was not good value and didn’t eat all of our food.
Fabulous service, attentive staff. Very polite when there was an error and correction was made with such attentive service. Food was delicious.
Nice bustling yet relaxed atmosphere. Service nicely paced. Delicious food and great drinks at a pretty reasonable price.
Beautiful dining room, relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff and excellent food. Highly recommend.
Exemplary service, and exceptional food. First time visiting and will definitely be back.
The food is always phenomenal! Fresh, tasty and just great combinations.
We would certainly recommend the Ivy to friends and family, for an enjoyable meal, with helpful, friendly service, in a pleasant environment. The menu is wide enough to appeal to any taste and the food is well presented and appetizing. There is even a great choice of wines, what more would you want?
Lovely staff, gorgeous food and great ambience
Went for husbands birthday and they have him a little baby fruit tart with a candle which was a nice touch
Very expensive , £140 for 2 without any alcohol. Didn't like what I choose , so dissapointed.
Been there, done that and won't return as feel I have been to other restaurant's with better food for a better price.
Great service - food was absolutely beautiful. Great cocktails and service was great!
The three of us were given a general menu each but only one lunchtime special set menu. Had to ask for another two. They brought one. Had to ask for a third. When it came to dessert, they brought a wrong one. Then when they did bring the correct one, they brought no spoon, so again had to call a waiter and ask for a spoon.
My parents drove three hours for my Dads 70th birthday dinner - we asked three times for something special to be done for his dessert to mark the occasion. Nothing was done and the team at the restaurant didn’t seem to think too much of it after the dinner when I spoke to the front of house. I was called by the assistant manager who offered to send us vouchers for an afternoon tea by means of an apology and then nothing. Very surprising for an Ivy who we had trusted to get something this special right. We won’t be going back.
Great evening, service and food was excellent! Highly recommend!!
Booked this stunning restaurant on the spur of the moment to take out my family!
Went in the evening on a week day and it was buzzing!
Menu and food fabulous! Service great!
Beautiful interior with a hint of quirkyness!
Would highly recommend it and go again!
Lovely restaurant and had great food again as have visited on numerous ocassions. Staff were great and it is still good value.
The food was excellent, and enough to feel full afterwards. The atmosphere was good, there was a bit of a buzz, even for a Monday night. We enjoyed it.
We sat in the conservatory and it wasn’t too noisy. Food and service was very good
As usual, good food and great service. Will be back again.
Menu very limited everything was with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce ? Who has eggs for Sunday lunch when you have them for breakfast. Had the lobster and asparagus gratin which was sloppy and hardly any lobster. Very disappointed and I have been to lots of the Brasseries and Cobham was by far the worst I have been to !!
I don't very often say that anything is outstanding so, there's not much more to add. Prices can always be less I suppose!!
We will definitely be back and recommending to our friends too.
Thank you very much
Overpriced and understaffed. We went on a Sunday around 11am and they were short staffed and not happy about it. Our server was nice enough, but the manager and other staff were pretty frosty. For the price, there are better places around.
Just love the Ivy. Food is always great, and atmosphere and service are exceptional. You really are getting a top class London service for a lot less in price. Highly recommend.
We took our daughter to The Ivy for the first time, having been telling her for years that it was sensational, and she absolutely loved it. Food was superb as always and, apart from shortage of parking at the Cobham branch, we could not fault the evening. We’ll be back. Geoff and Gerry Lester
My first visit and it will not be the last. . Lovely food with pleasant and attentive service without being too pushy.
Great experience. We had a lovely table overlooking the back garden. Our waiter was outstanding and the food was really tasty! Definitely recommended!
Overpriced , no parking , overrated
Too much effort on dessert and not enough on food
too noisy for talking
Very enjoyable weekend brunch. Service efficient but a bit impersonal. Food was fantastic - I had eggs Benedict which was perfectly done. My wife had pancakes, which although very tasty were slightly stodgy. The Art Deco decor is a delight, and overall we felt it was very good value (as opposed to a previous dinner experience there which was less good value). Highly recommended!
We had a fabulous brunch yesterday celebrating our anniversary. Our Waitress was so nice and more than happy to double check with the kitchen on dishes to help me cater for my daughters allergy.
I can highly recommend the Homemade Ginger Beer as a great brunch drink accompanied by the Eggs Benedict!!
We love this place and are already looking at coming back for dinner soon.
Beautiful restaurant, a very busy Saturday night. Table was booked for 9pm and the restaurant emptied out pretty quickly. The service was slow, much slower than I would expect from the Ivy, and as a result we were in the restaurant for longer than expected and were pressured to leave by the staff once the restaurant had emptied out. The food was good, not quite as good as I would’ve expected though. The experience didn’t quite live up to expectations sadly.
This was my first visit to The Ivy, Cobham, having visited many others. At our table we had steak, chicken and swordfish meals all of which were very dry. The roast chicken dish was extremely average and bland. I would have sent it back or had it taken off the bill if we hadn’t already sent another meal back to the kitchen. Our waitress was attentive but spoke very little English and in a loud restaurant it made asking for a Cocktail Menu very hard work. Overall, I was very disappointed and won’t be returning unfortunately. I will stick to the other Branches that I am used to.
