Please visit our website to learn more about The Inn at Pound Ridge by Jean-Georges http://www.theinnatpoundridge.com/ Chef Jean‑Georges introduces his latest venture, a casually elegant restaurant ensconced in the picturesque town of Pound Ridge, New York. Here, Jean‑Georges cultivates a truly seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine, with ingredients sourced from the Hudson Valley and New England, whenever possible. Constructed in 1833 as a residence and serving later as an inn, the building has been painstakingly renovated to preserve as many of the original materials as possible, including four working fireplaces. Thomas Juul-Hansen designed the restaurant’s interior with a modern yet rustic sensibility; zinc and marble accent stone and reclaimed wood. The restaurant’s lighting, artfully conceived by Hervé Descottes, employs paper shades and Edison fixtures to create warmth throughout.

While the food was great, and our waiter was good, there is a tremendous amount lost in the way business is now being done. I respect the fact they’ve opened for us to enjoy their food all over again, but paying the same price for this restaurant (when it is now just about the food) as we used to pay (when it was more than just about the food; it was an experience) reminds me of how far we have fallen.

Thoroughly enjoyable. Food was simple by Jean-George standards but was delicious. Service was delightful and the terrace is lovely. We will be back.

Outdoor space was awesome and they did a great job in the COVID age of keeping tables far apart and everything super sterile (napkins and silverware in plastic and all food in disposable dishes). Food was great!

Disappointing mostly due to the risk of covid19 a situation out of their control.
I was a regular customer before and loved going to the Inn with friends.
I will not be going back till the Risk of virus is gone. too much money for a dinner that was stressful.
I am very sorry for the Inn I hope things get better soon.

Honestly it was pretty disappointing. It was one of our first meals out since things have opened up. We were very excited and have been to the restaurant many times. They served us on paper plates which came covered like take out. I’m not sure why they needed to do that. To pay the prices we were paying and be served take out food which was very mediocre was not what we expected.

I thought the food was not as good as it usually is, especially the truffle pizza which is one of our favorites. It was a bit greasy and too much cheese and too much truffle oil. It is usually perfect.

We had a lovely evening. They did a very good job of making us feel comfortable.
I loved the crab meat on crostini appetizer.
For our main course my husband and I both ordered the parmesan chicken with artichokes. I love how they cut the artichoke hearts. The sauce it comes in is delicious. I would definitely go back and order the same items

I don't ordinarily order dessert but I did and it was their very good caramel ice cream with popcorn sundae.
The waiter and servers were very professional. Thank you for a very pleasant experience

French toast was very good. Pancakes were raw inside. Nothing special as for the food. Service ok. Prices were extremely high and not worth the food.

Lovely place, lovely cab by the glass too. Tuna burger lacked taste and was quite dry with that bun, burger my friend has was middling too, beautiful space, nice service, our app was a crunchy tuna sushi thing. That was good.

My son and I had a fabulous dinner. The food was perfection- as was the service. For me, the key is to eat during an earlier reservation while the staff is still fresh rather than rushed. The mushroom crusted salmon entree is my new favorite!

We had a 9:15 reservation on a Saturday night for 6 people. we waited a brief amount of time, just long enough to order a drink at the bar. We were seated at a round table on the lower level that was a perfect size with plenty of room. The lower level has more discrete seating areas and feels a little more intimate than the main dining room on the first floor.

The food and service were perfect, everyone enjoyed the meal immensely. The only hiccup was not having the wine we originally ordered, which was then substituted by a wonderful bottle of red wine from northern California.

Family late luncheon and anniversary celebration. Was really impressed by all aspects of the dining experience. Crab crostini, calamari, salmon sushi - all great appetizers. Cheeseburgers, lobster roll, shrimp salad and veal Milanese were all delicious. We also tried 3 deserts and were delighted. Lovely interior design and overall elegant yet comfortable venue. Also enjoyed cucumber martini and great wine!

Typical trend restaurant, guests that frequent are treated better than first time diners.

No graciousness or service attention and there was a lot of staff.

Another place to be seen but not to eat!

Food continues to be outstanding. Sauce for steaks is always remarkable. Crab crostini is an old reliable. The arugula salad was fresh, vigorous and light. Delightful waitress.

Had a wonderful first time at The Inn at Pound a Ridge. Especially appreciated was the welcoming and attentive service and the comfortable ambience.

The food was very good, with bold, clean flavors. A true hit, even if not always the perfect match for our palettes.

Presentation was elegant yet not overdone.

The desserts were phenomenal and a great way to end the evening. We definitely look forward to a return trip.

This visit to the Inn was very good. The food overall was really great. I always find the service a little hit or miss in that it can be slow. The service this time was pretty good overall-- pleasant and not too slow.
We had my son with us and he enjoyed the pizza and pasta!

Always a great brunch. Service can be a bit slow but it's Sunday, so no big deal. Servers are pleasant and welcoming. Fireplace in February is lovely. Food and drink -- outstanding always. Sit upstairs; last time we sat down, our service forgot us completely.

Slow Monday night in the restaurant. Service was slow. Portions were small. Lemon Fettuccine was dry and did not have flavor. Certainly nothing like Lemon Fettuccine in Amalfi - which is what I was hoping for. Drink service and meal service each item was given to wrong person at a table of 4. So unprofessional that you can't even get straight which person at the table is #1. Waitress brought my dinner plate and basically dropped and ran, didn't even look at me or have any interaction. I was not at all impressed Dessert took 20 minutes to be served, I asked for a candle to be put in the dessert that one of my guests ordered - instead you brought her the dessert she ordered and then a second dessert cupcake with marshmallow frosting with a candle in it. So lucky me - we ordered two desserts and I got to pay for three because no one listens. Check took another 10 minutes to be presented. Not impressed at all.
