The Henry - Dallas
Great place to seat and enjoy a meal with friends
Too noisy and the food wasn’t anything special
Great food with a wait staff that tea knows their stuff.
Convenient and well priced with great table service, a super menu and comfortable atmosphere. Unfortunately, the kitchen's execution was somewhat uneven.
Most entrees and sides were well prepared and arrived in a timely manner. Unfortunately, my short rib was VERY HIGHLY SAUCED and sat too long on a warming table. The extra time actually burned the sauce under the rib, giving my only two bites a bitter taste. I returned my entree to the kitchen uneaten and they kindly removed it from my tab.
On the plus side, the jalapeno creamed corn was delicious and well prepared. My wife's Green Chile Enchiladas and our guests waygu burger and Kale with Pink Lady Apple salad were also a hit.
I plan to go back for another try to see if things improve. I hope so because The Henry is close to my office and could become a local favorite.
When I first arrived to the restaurant at 5:10pmCT for a 5:15pmCT reservation - the female (dark hair, tall) at the hostess table completely ignored me even though she saw me come in. Finally, after standing right in front of her for three minutes (I timed it), I said, "Excuse me!" Only then did she even acknowledge me and was very curt when she asked "may I help you?" Really, is that how you treat a customer? Very, very rude. The hostess should perhaps take a refresher course in manners and customer service - or only work in a back room where she doesn't have to come in contact with customers.
I will say that our waitress (Mattie - I believe that was her name) was very professional and courteous. She was attentive without being intrusive and answered all of our questions about the menu.
First time- everything was great. . . But was a little noisy for a business lunch . . . A little surprised at noise level considering it was lunch
I love their food. Only complaint is the mimosas are expensive, $11 a piece. But the atmosphere and food makes it more worth it.
Our server, Chelsea, was wonderful, fun and so helpful with our selections!
The wine was great and very reasonable, the beet salad was great and the salmon with quinoa was fabulous. A great evening!
Chris was a great server. We never went without drinks. He was able to get us the “original” crab toast appetizer and as a frequent diner, every other server never tries. Great night at the Henry!
I CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN! Our server was very helpful as none in my party had been before so he helped us to decide what and how much to get. He recommended drinks based on what we said we liked. The place itself is beautiful and very inviting. I wanted so badly to go sit on the patio after dinner!
with reservation they attended us really fast. Our orders and service was great. Really cool environment and great food.
The food and atmosphere were fantastic, but even better, the service exceeded all expectations. From the minute we were met by the greeter, to the bartender, to our amazing server, Eric, who handled a large party of 8 with grace, ease, and a smile! We will be sure to return again and again.
Very nice brunch spot. We have had dinner too and that was excellent.
Portions a good size, staff very friendly, efficient and accommodating. It worked remarkably well for a large group at brunch.
The bloody mary/mimosa cart is a very cool idea too.
So good! The coffees were amazing! Loved the avocado toast.
We had a great experience with the hostesses going to great lengths to accommodate our large & growing party & Eric our waiter was outstanding!
The best restaurant in town with so much vegetarian options! Love the corn and the risotto :)
The food is great. The atmosphere is well designed. The prices are a bit too high for this type of dining. I’d consider going to Sixty Vines over The Henry because the food and atmosphere are comparable in quality, but SV has much better prices.
We had such a great time. Darius was great and the food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is alway fun and still quiet enough to have a conversation.
Upscale yet relaxed. Our waiter, Brian, was extremely personable and fun to interact with.
Fabulous service and food!!
Late lunch. Few customers there
Service was just ok
Drinks took forever
We had to wait a while for my daughters kids meal to arrive — no one apologized
The food was subpar and the waiter was no where to be found.
Amazing service and awesome food. The King Crab Toast and Opened Face Prime Steak Sandwich was so good. I definitely recommend this restaurant it's so good.
Our server, Connor, was fantastic. Made a great meal even better.
Vibrant place with great food and cocktails. Great place to people watch and they have a bar upstairs
The DJ on the upper level played his music so loud that our group had to lean into each other at our table so we could hear our conversation. The Henry doesn’t seem like a “if it’s too loud, you’re too old” kinda place. Both the volume and the genre of music seemed inappropriate. Every other table seemed like they were struggling to hear each other over the music. We left after one drink.
The space is brand new and has a nice atmosphere!
The food was good and wait staff was great as well!
This place is amazing! Everything about it is superb.
Brunch was great
Amazing atmosphere, professional staff, great food and reasonably priced. Will definitely return!
Food and service were good, but the receptionist first put us on a small, tiny end table while there were plenty of bigger empty tables throughout the floor. We are earlier than the normal crowd so it is not like all the other tables were full. We were celebrating a birthday, so the first impression was not very good for my guest (I have been to Henry's before multiple times and highly recommended it). I made reservation way ahead of the time as well, you can't tell me The Henry could not place us on a "normal" table. Not too happy....
My wife and I found The Henry-Dallas while visiting from Portland, Oregon. We were served an early dinner by Chance. We loved the ambience and our initial greeting by a hostess was most pleasant. We
felt fortunate to have found The Henry and were well pleased in our choices of beverages and food.
Since we were seated just after the restaurant had switched to their dinner menu, we were treated very
specially. We would highly recommend The Henry for its food and service.
Darius my server was excellent! The guacamole was good but the green chili chicken enchiladas were outstanding! He recommended the almond cake dulce de leche with coffee sorbet and it was light and creamy and perfect. Great decor and vibe. Totally recommend.
What a beautiful restaurant in Uptown Dallas. The staff was very competent and welcoming. We tried the spicy shrimp bowl(great idea), the salmon bowl(brilliant idea having the beets on the side), and yummy ribs. Food portions are just right for enjoying without overdoing it. And dessert? Yes, add dessert- the chocolate with the peanut butter center and ice cream! Yes!
Poor menu selection , not recommended for a nice dinner
We ate there for breakfast and returned the same day for dinner. The service and food was top notch. One of my DALLAS Favorite spots
Love the brunch items on the weekend! Food is tasteful, unique and in perfect portions. Great selection and great service from waitstaff.
Great food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the Bloody Mary and Mimosa cart with brunch. Will definitely want to go again.
The food was great! People were nice. My husband & daughter loved their Bloody Mary. We will be back.
