Steak was poor quality and in turn overpriced. The 3 potatoes and spilrinkle of Woolworths bagged lettuce mix was hardly an adequate side for a $32 meal. A $12 stark from the Aussie is a far superior meal.
Lovely new venue, great outdoor area, friendly, helpful staff and a nice variety to the menu.
The staff were really very kind and friendly, so I do not take pleasure in writing a poor review. Sadly, our food was sent to the wrong table so our friends had all eaten and finished before our food arrived. The staff were very apologetic but when the food arrived the Pumpkin Gnocchi was cold and the fish of the day was undercooked and tasteless. To be honest a refund would have been the appropriate thing to do, but instead we received extra chips which looked burnt and over done. A very poor experience and sadly we will not return. When you are paying almost $30 for a main course I would expect a much higer standard.
A beautiful venue with delicious food and drinks. Although the bar manager did feel it necessary to comment on the drinks I wanted to purchase for my children. After speaker to the owner he did put my mind at ease that she would be spoken to. Apart from this, the food was fabulous as well as every other staff member
We really enjoyed The Growers. Lovely setting and excellent service.
Fantastic venue, highly recommend. Will be going back.
Fresh local food. Friendly staff. Fast service. Great views and ambience.
Our first visit- was very enjoyable. Drinks were pretty pricey at $4.80 a soft drink.
We loved the atmosphere but where not interested in anything on the menu we actually left and dined upstairs. A little disappointed but i believe with a few more items added to the menu it could make a great dinning experience .
Food was scrumptious
We were on a restricted menu as it was a public holiday but quite frankly it was really disappointing. W had so wanted to like this place. The pizza’s were burnt, the fish tacos hard and tasteless and nothing really fresh available.
We’ll give them one more try to see if it was because of the public holiday but overall apart from the nice setting it was thoroughly disappointing.
Took my family of young kids and early teens and there was something delicious for everyone.
Great place just needs some work on the menu and quality of the food. I ordered the fish which was very bland and just not an enjoyable meal. I feel like you wouldn’t go wrong if you stuck to ordering traditional pub food like burgers (which are available).
The ambiance is lovely, very good location, however the food need some work. Worst on the menu was root vegetable chips- tasted like fish oil...inedible!
The settings and ambience is really nice.
We dined at the growers during Easter long weekend and we received excellent service.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food. The dishes were nicely put together, very pretty and the flavors well balanced.
I love the QR code ordering system. It allowed us to decide how much food to order as we go along.
Would definitely return.
We went out as a family for Easter instead of staying home. The Growers was a perfect venue for our large family of 20! Very accommodating and the food came out so quickly and was delicious. Every time we come we are never disappointed. Thanks to Rob and his amazing team. Great idea having face painting for the kids too!
Have been twice since late February and on each time Rob goes consistently goes out of his way to provide a personal and professional experience. Young team and whilst there are some inconsistencies in the level of service, it is early days for the Growers. Give it a go, it’s pretty god and the ambiance is great.
Hi We had a great time. Food was awesome. The only thing that went wrong was two of our main meals were forgotten. So my son-in-law and my grandson waited for so long we were all finished eating before they got their meals.
Steak overpriced for what you get. 1cm thick with salad on top with not much else. I’ll be trying another dish next time as it is a beautiful place for a night out drinks.
A dreadful smell like sewer kept wafting over our table. It was dreadful
Ambience and service was fantastic along with starters but our main meals very disappointing.
Pizza over cooked and dry and lacked flavour
Sirloin steak disappointing especially compared to images on your social media. Potatoes over cooked, sauce dry and lacked flavour and salad if you call it that was a few leaves scattered and no dressing
Very cool vibe. Lots of young couples. Welcomes and accommodates families and children very well too. Inside and outside tables plus grass areas for kids play. Play equipment. Efficient service of food via app. Drinks reasonably priced. Have been twice and highly recommend.
We drove two hours to attend this place of which 80pc is outdoors. Only to arrive and be told no dogs allowed. It was ridiculous. At time of booking I wrote on the note section that I had a dog. While the staff there were very accommodating it is absolutely ludicrous that at a place like that set on a lawn - you can’t bring a dog. He had to be tied up to the fence and we sat at a table where he could see us but not within reach. He’s a puppy. We would have gone elsewhere but it’s the middle of nowhere and there were few options and we were starving after a long drive. Another couple form Sydney did the same thing- at booking time was told no issue bringing a dog so they brought theirs. In the end the dog was barking too much and they had to leave without eating. This place was only 15pc full. So almost empty. It’s a dumb rule and anywhere in Sydney with this much space you can absolutely bring your dog. It’s behind the times and stupid. They need to lift their game or lose more business.
Food was average, but a great venue, service was hit and miss.
Growers is a great idea, presents well and good ambiance but the food was disappointing.
We both had the Sirloin Steak, it was pre par cooked and finished on the grill, stringy and tasteless. Mine ordered medium rare hers medium, both came medium. A side of tasty potatoes and a few salad leaves. To be honest we have had better at some Clubs.
Always a great place to go, one of my favourites, lovely staff, great food and service, could make their cocktail range abit larger or have some friendlier ones- most are an “acquired taste” other than that 10/10, as always
Enjoyed our dinner and we look forward to our next visit.
Nice atmosphere with good food. Differing wait times between Growers and the Smokehouse made it difficult for us. People who had ordered from Smokehouse had finished their meals before those who ordered from Growers even got their meals. Better COVID controls at the bar / meal order station needed. Overall, a pleasant night out.
Great day out! Fantastic venue and food. Service was prompt and friendly. We'll definitely be back.
The food was ordinary at best. Quantities were very small. I had chicken with rice with ‘ancient grains’ that was unevenly cooked. Good flavour in the chicken, but I could have had twice the amount of chicken in a schnitzel upstairs in the club for barely a third of the price. My friend’s steak looked good when served but was stringy and tough. Both dishes were dry and we had to ask for butter on the side to provide some sauce.
If you fo not start producing food of quality and at a decent quantity to justify the price, I suspect you will not survive in this location.
They need to improve the menu, insufficient choices.
Great service with great surroundings
Will come back again
My husband ordered the smoked chicken pizza and it was terribly dry.
Enjoyed a long birthday lunch at the Growers on a quiet Wednesday. The outside seated area is just beautiful, lovely decor and gardens looking out at the golf course. Excellent customer service. The kids play area was a highlight for our family. Food was lovely, generous sized portions. Highly recommend the Growers for special occasions, is simply stunning on a sunny day.
I loved the outdoor dining it’s just perfect for birthdays or any special occasion
The pumpkin gnocchi was to die for 👌👌
Wonderful ambiance and vibe. The service by Rob when we first arrived was outstanding - so friendly and accommodating! A higher price point for drinks, however a great selection of local beers, spirits and wines. Will definitely be back.
We had a lovely night outside and the weather was perfect. Definitely recommend the starters and share plates. Great food and fabulous service
7 at our table, 1 meal sent back, fish was raw. Must admit service was excellent, especially when returning meal. Overall value is not so good but great venue
It was a beautiful evening sitting out in the paddock. The food was amazing and we loved supporting the south coast farmers and businesses who supply The Growers. We will definitely be back when next in the area.
Would highly recommend for people who want somewhere to go for dinner with a great atmosphere
