   The place is very busy and you should always book or you'll be waiting a long time. Busy means very loud and very tight seating arragments. Other than that, the food is nice and it all comes out quuite quickly I don't like that when you ask for the bill, the eftpos machine comes pre-loaded with a credit card surchange and then they walk away.

   I was really looking forward to eating here. Started off well, went to the bar as we were 15 min early. Barman was great. Sorry no name but he had a beard. We were taken to our table but no menus and no one came near us for 15min. One waitress ( ours) eventually asked if we were about to leave and we said “ no, we’re still waiting for a menu” . Food was quite good. Wine list a bit short. Lovely ambiance, but very dark. Unless you’re 12, you’ll need your phone to read the menu. Table placing was a bit close for my liking in this post Covid era. Almost rubbing elbows with the next table. No one came near us for about 20min with any dessert or coffee menu so had ask for the bill ( about $200 including bottle of wine and one bar drink each) and left. Very unusual for me not to tip. I know staff are hard to get the moment but looks like staff here were overseas students or backpackers. A bit disappointing.

   The waiter was very annoyed at us because we waited to decide on our order. It was very unpleasant and I advise you to talk to the team to treat clients better.

    An awesome place to meet for a catch up with friends and family, Staff don’t hurry you out great food and drinks selection. Perfect spot for transport close to everything

    Server - Callum - was outstanding very attentive and actually remembered little things from previous visits even though we’ve only been three or four times - impressive! Food was excellent I am not a burger person but it was truly delicious as was the pasta on a previous visit Ambience good but a bit dark it’s actually difficult to read the menu Noise us excessive it makes any kind of conversation extremely difficult But …. Looking forward to my next visit!

    Found the service not up to its usual standards, and felt very uncomfortable with tables so close together, felt like I was sitting in the lap of the people next to me. I realise covid restrictions have eased but that was too close for comfort.

    Fabulous ambiance, wonderful attention to detail for the interiors. Food and drinks were great. Not a huge menu but enough for everyone to pick and choose.

    Our group of (3) were sat at a very small table and we asked if we could be moved to one of the vacant larger tables/booths. We were advised these were booked and whilst some did fill up during our sitting some remained vacant which was disappointing. We wouldn’t have minded except I was constantly being knocked by the staff walking by. Our server was terrible - she clearly was not able to keep up with the tables in her area. We waited quite a while for menus, table water and cutlery. Anytime we needed to flag her down for more drinks or the bill it was next to impossible. We managed to find another staff member to assist at times. The food was good - what you would expect from The Grounds. Would not recommend for a special occasion.

    Restaurant ambience and service was very good and the noise level wasn't too bad considering it was a Saturday night. The food was very tasty - I had the Mahi Mahi, but the portion was very small. We joked that maybe they'd run out of the fish, but the accompanying salad was also very small. Left still feelng hungry. What a shame as I like the restaurant a lot.

    Lovely restaurant and we were fed quickly just a bit disappointed that we couldn’t use our dine and discover vouchers for dinner…could use them for breakfast and lunch but not for dinner…

    I only went there for 30mins for a 4pm coffee. Would be keen to return for a meal and cocktails. Booth seating and bar space felt fancy and cosy.

    This was my second visit to The Grounds, the first in the evening, was a completely different experience to lunchtime. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening. Service very friendly professional staffefficient and prompt. I recommend this venue to anyone. I will be back.

    My poach eggs was served cold. Took ages to get a waiter a second time to get coffee after we ate. Omelettes we’re good. Pastries ok, but how much effort is there in presenting a basket of pastries. Coffee good taste but Luke warm. Too dark and far too noisy.

    A surprise early morning breakfast with my wife so it was meant to be a nice occasion expecting it to be delivered at a level the hype this venue seems to attract. Unfortunately the floor staff seemed stressed, water was poured out side of the glasses across the table and soaked the napkins. The meals were slow delivered not particularly hot and the toast seemed to be at over a day old with crusts unable to be cut. Bacon was way too salty. Look g around we could see other customers trying to catch a waiter just to take their order. Decor is great but you can’t eat the books. And to top it all off very overpriced. We expect higher quality food and service for something that very close by we get for a third of the price. We should have learnt from our first visit - there are plenty of other pleasant outlets who will appreciate your patronage more.

    The food was delicious however very noisy with an overriding smell of seafood when you walk in the front door. The staff was very friendly & helpful but it was hard to hear & was asked a couple of times to repeat what was ordered. Seemed not to have enough staff.

    1. Too cramped and crowded, tables are very small and placed right next to each other. Hard to avoid bumping on the next table when you get up etc. 2. Couldn't have a conversation, too noisy and ambiance is too dark/dimmed inside would be OK for an evening cocktail/dinner but not really for breakfast/brunch. 3. Food was average - serving was fairly small. Ordered the pancakes and it was nothing special, like eating pancake you make at home outside the packet. My friend had the beef and mushroom sandwich/burger etc with 3 strips of beef. 4. The drinks (juice/smoothies) were OK - had morning sunshine and trusty rusty but glass was too small for it. Overall the whole experience was very average and not worth the hyped.

    Quality has decreased so much. Not the same anymore. You can see there is no more effort on food, service or value. Its very disappointing to see how much I used to go and nowadays I just avoid it if I can.

    Coffee was warm to cool had the lobster bearnaise dish only had 2 teaspoons of sauce had to ask for more very dry dish lobster was tough. Had to ask for water numerous times, felt like I was a bother. Squishy seating too close to other diners trying to pack in more clientele.
