The Cafe at The Grounds has team of chefs who constantly push the boundaries and reinvents the classics in order to deliver you perfect flavour combinations that will make you want to come back time and time again.

NOTE: The Cafe operates on a walk-in only basis for groups of 1-5 people, between 9am-2:30pm (Weekends) and 10am-2pm (Weekdays). If no tables are available, a short, electronic waitlist may operate - allowing you to explore The Grounds until your table is ready.

    Breakfast / brunch to see Alice in Wonderland exhibit . Took our 2 year old granddaughter. Very very busy so glad we booked. Wait to be seated , several wait persons attending us but the wait for a Danish pastry was frustrating and had to ask eventually. Lots of staff but not great system . Grounds were great and an enjoyable time .

    Our order was not taken correctly with only one meal arriving. The meal was quickly made, however the meal that arrived first was then cold. As soon as we had finished our meals, the table was cleared and the bill was given. The waiter asked us if we could leave for the next customer. We were only there for a little over an hour, we felt very rushed.

    My mother lives in Port Macquarie and I wanted to take her here the morning before she drove back up north as a surprise and she was blown away by the experience. She loved the decor and ambience of the place, the sweet corn fritters were incredible, and we even grabbed a couple of pastries to go! I also wanted to show her the Alice in Wonderland theme that was featuring there and we had a great time walking around and exploring. I can't wait to come back here again!

    It was a busy day, yet the food was perfect, the service was incredible, the overall experience was euphoric. Every person there was smiling and super happy to be there. Everyone was patient, kind and it made for a great time. We’ll be back!!

    It was too busy and no direction or support from staff to mitigate this. Trying to service too many people is ridiculous. I thought booking was a way you did this but I was wrong.

    Delicious food, as always. Beautiful decorations - the creative team is excellent! However, ground staff did not know about special themed menu items and there were way too many people for the space. Not enough signage to direct customers which created a very chaotic environment. Flow of movement was poor, particularly having donut stands etc in a main walkway with so many people. Social media advertising and website suggested a very organised event, however, this was not the reality.

    A lot of hype, very busy, the staff were hectic. Coffee could have been hotter, and given it was a busy long weekend, food did not all arrive at the same time. Experience overall was OK - ive been, had the breakfast but do not need to return.

    we wanted to know about the themed drinks but the waitress just looked at us in a rude way when we asked if the basic menu was all that was available, she said yes and we found out that wasnt true so we didnt order what we would have wanted

    I was so excited to visit this cafe and it was fantastic and so lovely cafe! Unfortunately we couldn’t have this cake which was a special one but we had other cakes and made us so happy. And the spaces of wonderland was brilliant. It was so cute and lovely. Took lots of photos. Thank you for the great time x

    This place is too crowded and chaotic. Getting a table here feels like a risk - you might get one, you might have to wait in the cold, even if you book. Allow an extra 15 minutes to find parking. Our food was really nice and coffee was perfecto.

    Food was good &amp; reasonably priced. A bit of a maze to get inside for a first-timer. Service was slow, but probably due to how busy it was. Crowded &amp; loud and it was only 9:30am. Not the place for a quiet conversation.

    Food was awesome, not over priced and a beautiful atmosphere! Definitely a must dining experience. However we're given the wrong meal, then charged for the meals we did order plus the one we didn't. Staff were busy gossiping about other diners instead after calling us to the register to settle the wrong bill, so entirely lacking in the service department.

    Love the grounds. All the venues deliver great food and efficient friendly service. The only downside is lack of parking. Makes it difficult to be on time for booked time.

    We had a lovely lunch at The Grounds on Sunday. Even though it was really busy the service and food were still great. In fact my food was really delicious and our waitress was super friendly and very helpful.
