    Making a reservation doesn't mean much as the female staff member at the entrance were giving tables away to customers that didn't make a booking where we had a reservation but still made to wait in line. Quite disappointing here.

    Amazing service and very accommodating staff. As we were there to celebrate a birthday the crew accommodated my request making it a lovely surprise to my partner.

    Although the precinct is beautiful and the cafe is gorgeous, the food is overpriced and overrated, and the venue was overcrowded. I bet it would be nice to go for a drink in the actual garden, but the price of the food and its quality - it's not worth going there to eat.

    The Secret Garden display but lovely the service in the cafe was disappointing with many menu items sold out. We visited on Mother’s Day and it was very busy but I would have thought this would have been expected and catered for. We ended up leaving and not having dessert after all desserts and drinks we wanted were sold out. Toilets were also filthy in the cafe. Would not visit again.

    Given it was on one of the busiest days of the year, Mother's Day it was a nice meal. Very over crowded however. Food was relatively quick and really lovely.

    It’s a lovely place to visit and coffee was delicious. The only down fall was we got a teaspoon of ricotta with the ricotta pancakes and the poached eggs with the fritters were hard boiled. Would come back with the hopes that the mistakes were a once off :)

    Kept having to call for every little thing - menus, service, cutlery, cutlery again when we had dessert (as had run out of forks and napkins) and chaser on order as half came and took ages until other half came out. Was not enjoyable to feel like a naggy customer. The cutlery especially was frustrating - imagine putting all the food in front of you and then having to get the attention of a waiter as you couldn't possibly eat pasta or the cakes without cutlery! Waiters didn't know the specials I was talking about until I had to open the website and SHOW them the special meals they had on offer. So disappointing in that respects. Food was ordinary - pasta overly salted, too much sauce on the fish taco (so every bite sent sauce oozing out of the taco onto face and hands) and pavlova was over cooked. Almost too hard to cut the pavlova and the edges were so hard it actually hurt your teeth as you tried to chew through. Absolutely beautiful setting but the dining experience was poor and disappointing. Will just come to enjoy the scenery but not a meal ever again.

    Food was average , eggs on toast - had to ask for butter , condiments, sauce . Nothing special for the price wouldn’t return . The main issue was the restaurant was freezing cold and draughty uncomfortable, the only wow factor was the plastic entry flowers

    We had a reservation on a Monday morning. It was our second time dining at The Grounds (the last time was 6 years ago). We had an amazing time previously so we gladly went back there for a second time. We had a reservation for 11 AM in the morning. I ordered an omelet and wanted to have a hot smoked salmon add-on, and my husband wanted Baked Eggs. We were told that they were running out of these ingredients hence they couldn't cater to our order, which was odd considering it was a Monday morning. The ambiance and decor, as usual, are mesmerising. But we won't be coming back for a while.

    Unfortunately the worst restaurant experience so far in Sydney. We came to have a family & friends Brunch with all the recommendations, but left very disappointed. The service of our waitress was so poor and the food average. Not worth the money spent. The premises in general was very nice and also the service of the Lemonade stand. The lemonade was good!

    What a beautiful place. Just had brekkie in the cafe which was amazing but seeing all the different spaces you have for various sittings and functions - just amazing. Well done guys what a brilliant place and asset for Sydney and your area. No wonder it is so popular glad we booked a table!

    We had a great time, all staff we encountered we extremely friendly and our waitress was very pleasant and helpful, we ordered from the secret garden menu & all day breakfast menu at the Cafe & we were all very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food.

    The cafe space and ambience was awesome. Team were lovely and friendly. They didn't have the drink and food items that I had requested which was disappointing and I opted for alternative items that were not comparable.

    Food is great. Service was adequate. Come here for the coffee and cake. You will not be disappointed. The takeaway donuts are the best in sydney, and worth a trip on their own.

    Do eat there at all. Too crowded and noisy. It’s a money making pit. Waitress lied about freshly squeezed orange juice. It was not fresh. Our Asian bowl had no satay sauce. It was rushed. Just such an awful experience.

    Our booking was at 2:30pm for my partner & I, James was out waiter, was unfortunate he finished at 3. As I would have liked to have tipped him myself. James was a fantastic host, our meals were Devine & cooked to perfection. The coffee was delicious I drank my first one down fast, & ordered a 2nd immediately. Can’t wait to return & to also experience the other ones. A place to certainly go.
