Full of character, The Granville is divided into a comfortable sofa area, a bar area and an eating area, with a central fireplace. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with a patio area, where up to 40 customers can dine al fresco.
The bar serves traditional Kentish cask ale and distinctive international lagers and offers a good selection of wine by the glass.
As always an excellent evening! Love the staff, love the food. The Granville remains my favourite place to eat
Recommended - consistently enjoyable and good food and environment. Service can be slightly inattentive and inconsistent on some visits.
The Granville is a top-end pub grub type of place. All the favourite dishes are there but done better than anywhere else. All food is freshly-prepared - you can see it being done! Good selection of beers and wines, too. Vegan options available on the food and wine menu!
Lovely meal, well cooked and friendly service. I would recommend this pub.
Liz and I visit The Granville frequently. We are both impressed by the level of service, friendly staff, and excellent teamwork producing a good dining experience.
Great place for a family reunion with 3 children under the age of 4 yrs. Our only whim was that we were sat at a table close to the kitchen opening , it did become a bit smokey at times when the steak etc was on the grill . We all liked our chosen food , and the children ate all of their's too. No stress , very relaxed and enjoyable Thank you.
100% recommend! If you love a steak the best place to go! Better than some of the steak houses in London! Never ever had a bad meal.
Food was a decent pub quality, service was very attentive and friendly. I was a little surprised the selection of cask ales was so poor, especially as it was New Years Eve!
Would give it another go if in the area
Music was a bit intrusive, young singer who was talented but walking around and singing which was not ideal
Been here several times and its always first class food and service
We always enjoy the experience of eating at The Granville and we weren't disappointed. It's a regular for family gatherings and no doubt will continue to be so!
Lovely meal. Nicely accommodated. Very caring for one of our party who’d recently had surgery.
Great service, lovely food, perfect way to start our family Christmas
A really super restaurant. We had a table for six, were greeted on arrival and had an enjoyable meal served by friendly attentive staff.
Has become a firm favourite for a fab roast. Great friendly staff , lovely fire in middle of restaurant. Will be back soon
I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CHOICES ON THE MENU ,THE SERVICE WAS VERY SLOW,ALLTHOUGH THE FOOD WE DID HAVE WAS VERY GOOD,BUT A BIT OVERPRICED.
Surprisingly amazing food! The trout was fantastic, the aubergine delicious, even the soup of the day was so tasty! Service is a bit grumpy though, that's why I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars.
A+++ all round, service was great and food was delicious very good value for money
10 of us came here to celebrate an 18th Birthday. Everything was perfect, from the staff, to the food, to the service. Can highly recommend.
Really good food at a fair price. The serving staff were considerate and thoughtful
We had a small family informal lunch at The Granville. The menu had changed since we were last there a couple of years ago, but plenty of options for our mixed group of carnivores, vegetarians and vegans. Service was excellent throughout. The whole family enjoyed the meal, which counts for a lot!
Absolutely fabulous Sunday lunch. Cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Lovely ambiance and helpful and efficient staff. Will be recommending to friends!
Lovely dining room, attentive service, food good would return
First time I had been to this pub and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable evening.
Thank you for your review. Delighted you enjoyed your first visit with us. Hope you come back again!
Very friendly, busy atmosphere!!! Amazing central Woodburner. One of the best chicken roasts I've ever eaten!! Beautiful winter fruit crumble. A really nice way to spend my birthday. Going back on a Sunday for band night.
What a great review. Thank you!
We had a lovely evening, the food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly
Thank you for your 5 star review!
Again as always fab u lous - we don’t come often but it never disappoints, especially now they do roast dinners all night long on a Sunday.
The plus for us was the live music, a great duo. All in all a great evening.
All the staff here are very good too, always polite and friendly, a great bunch of people.
What a lovely review. Thank you. We hope you start coming more! We'd love to see you.
Great service, food was great and lovely’s ambiance with the fore lit on a cold autumn evening. Look forward to our next visit
Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you on your next visit.
Busy, but calm and efficient service, the food was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome.
Great food, nice atmosphere.. Did wonder as sitting right by kitchen.. But the chef was very calm and service was very efficient. Excellent. We will return
Thank you for your review. Hope to see you again soon.
Fabulous meal, buzzing atmosphere and great time with friends.
Thank you for your review!
The Sunday roast was fantastic, the service was excellent and the price was more than reasonable.
Fantastic. Thank you!
Lovely atmosphere and food. Service good and problems rectified quickly. Have booked a Christmas meal here and I am looking forward to it
Thank you for your review. Looking forward to seeing you during the Christmas period.
The meal was very disappointing and not up to the standards we remember having eaten there many times before. My wife's "roast beef" was essentially raw, just cooked on the outside. The carrots and parsnips were also grilled but essentially uncooked and extremely tough - it was impossible to cut them with the knives provided! My pork was nice and well cooked, but - NB - it had obviously been precooked and heated up. The crumbles were good.
Burger tasted burnt but the menu was good. Lots of choice for foodies. However, a little noisy and the staff were confused about a lot of things regarding orders and what food was actually on the menu etc. Has potential to be great
I returned after 8 month after having bad service I would say it has improved the service and this occasion was of a high standered
The food was hot good quality and rally enjoyed. The Sunday lunch was a bit pricey.
Although the food was very good the service most certainly wasn't. The waitress was irritable and didn't respond well to requests. Didn't feel welcome so certainly wouldn't feel comfortable returning.
Monday must be a poor day for the Granville. Soup was cold, two portions of Fish & Chips had no tarts sauce and amount of custard to go with Crumble was appalling minimal
Great service and food! Will definitely be back, such good value too!
We have been to the Granville on numerous occasions over many years and it has generally been a good experience. However recent visits have been distinctly average and last Saturday's will be the last for some time to come. The service was not very good, the amount of noise from the party on the neighbouring table was so loud it was often difficult to hear each other and the portions, especially the starters, seem to have got smaller and smaller over time.
