Absolutely phenomenal! Food is delicious, most of it made fresh daily, drinks were delectable, and dessert was amazing! 5 stars, definitely recommend for a lovely night out
Save room for the pumpkin bread pudding!
Brunch was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be coming back again!
Food, service, atmosphere all stellar. Went back after the show for dessert which was homemade and excellent.
Food was ok. Service was ok. They did not acknowledge a special occasion test I had pointed out on my reservation.
I don’t know what to say…meh. The service was great but the food was just meh. Probably not likely to be rushing back there anytime soon.
The food here was incredible. This will be our restaurant to go to before all our PPAC shows. We have tried many restaurants around the the theater and this is by far the best!!!
We went for my husband’s birthday, he loved it!
Food was delicious, our waiter was awesome and very attentive. Will definitely be going back.
Perfect Pre-Show dinner spot, Sandi was so friendly and welcoming- great drinks and food, nice quiet spot to grab dinner then check out Speakeasy downstairs! We walked to PPAC from Restaurant- recommend this downtown spot for any night of the week!
The best pasta fazool I have ever had. The staff are exceptionally friendly. The manager and the owner stop by the tables. Very comfortable atmosphere and the food is amazing.
I would like to amend my previous review! There is a first time for everything and there are bound to be kinks that come with that! We love to see drag artists being supported at new venues! I will always be back to support my friends that are performing! Looking forward to the next one!
Been there a few times… the experience is always great… grime the valet to the dessert it is a wonderful evening out… went to PPAC show afterwards and returned to live music in the Speakeasy downstairs… great place
Loved the bar area. It was a upscale atmosphere. The food and drink were good. However, the service was a bit slow.
Wow! I have no words for this place. You walk in to see the beautiful architecture and the ambience is spectacular. You can either sit in the dining room which is beautiful or the lounge area. I sat in the lounge. There is a gorgeous wooden bar, the most comfortable chairs, and live piano and bass that set the mood. The cocktail menu is awesome and the waitress made good suggestions. First came the appetizer. The Buffalo cauliflower was perfectly roasted, seasoned to perfection, and the sauce it came with made my mouth water. The mozzarella cakes were breaded like heaven and fried to make the cheese a perfect consistency. Entree… Short rib. The short rib is melt in your mouth delicious. Just when we thought our meal was finished because of how full we were, I heard that they make all desserts in house so I had to hear the options. Banana Cream pie. Wow. Insane. No words. One of the best things I have eaten ever. 10/10
Some of the best scallops I’ve had!
Quality of food varied greatly.Soup, mashed potatoes and vegetables were delicious.Salad was overdressed.Fish tasted frozen, not fresh. Stuffed shrimp was underwhelming. We went for the piano bar but pianist had cancelled.
We had a wonderful dinner, the lobster crab ravioli was rich and delicious, as was the surf and turf. Desserts were amazing. We had the banana pie and chocolate mousse cake.
It was a nice atmosphere to enjoy music and dinner. From the speakeasy downstairs, piano bar, and relaxing dining area the evening passed by too quickly. The food was amazing and exciting to learn it was the one year anniversary of the restaurant.
This restaurant has complimentary valet, which worked out because my husband and I were a few minutes late. We only waited a few minutes to be seated. The server was great, sadly I do not remember his name. Very attentive and fast. The food was phenomenal! My husband got a 16 oz ribeye and I got the half roasted chicken. Cooked to perfection and all of the seasoning was on point. Everything was amazing. We had a great 2 year wedding anniversary. Can't wait to go back!
Always such fun
Love new singer down in “speak easy” ❤️
Again our service wasn’t good. All the parties that sat before us got there food. When we finally got our it looked like it was thrown together. The server never offered an apology or sent the manager to our table.
Great place - great service!! A welcome variety of entrees and specials.
We just love this place. The food, service, ambiance are fantastic!
I've eaten at the George several times and it never disappoints. The food and service are always top notch!
Great menu, hard to decide! Decided to split an appetizer of spicy sausage with black bean purée and a fabulous tomato sauce-strong recommendation for this and the chef made the sausage. Then had lobster and crab ravioli - yum! Husband had lobster and shrimp Fra Di Avio. Unbelievable! The pasta was fresh with a killer sauce plus a very large lobster tail. Great bar too!
We've been to The George twice, once for dinner and once for brunch. Food was great both times, service was excellent and the musician at this morning's brunch was fantastic.
We really enjoyed the drinks and the food was AMAZING! The Margherita pizza was absolutely delightful!
Great service and food!
Food was great(ortions as well) service was not. Appetizer and plates not cleared by the time we received entree. The kitchen was slow. Noisy clientele, young children, and questionable patrons blue jeans and baseball caps. Hostess disinfected table behind us between patrons -that had industrial strength smell and ruined meal for us.
Received a glass of wine which took twenty minutes, glass had lipstick on it.
The ambiance at the George is excellent! We sat in the bar listening to some amazing jazz. We waited a long time to be served and the food and wine menu were disappointing. I think with some attention to the wine list and a critical eye on the food, this would be a five star review. Staff was extremely friendly. We will return.
Nice brunch. Live music (sometimes a little too loud), good food. Service was a little slow but we were ok as we were happy to chat and sip mimosas.
Great atmosphere in the bar area. Jazz music, great drinks and bartenders were super friendly and knowledgeable. We didn’t think it was too loud as some reviewers noted. The food was good, not excellent. We had a great time and would definitely go back again.
Excellent dinner. The taste, presentation and service were all memorable. Nice option just down from the Hotel Providence where we stayed the night.
Everyone was very friendly and the food was very good. The house cocktails are inspired and tasty.
Our only criticism would be that the cheese and cured meat board was uninspired ... only 2 kinds of cheese and three meats, with a cup of jam, pistachios, and olives. That's it. Skip it and get the shrimp cocktail which was fantastic.
When I left my credit card at the table when we left, the server and hostess tracked me down and got them back to me. We will be going back soon.
Try the Thai Calamari!
Brunch was awesome!
The brunch was really bad. I got the breakfast burrito which barely had anything in it and nothing resembling breakfast (no eggs), with a stale wrap. My fiancée got the steak and eggs. She ordered the steak med rare. Steak arrived well done. Sent it back and got an extra rare steak, barely cooked. Also they do not season their steaks at all, not even salt! Terrible food. Will not go back.
Salmon Benedict. Fantastic.
