Had a lovely time celebrating my daughters 15th birthday. The staff were lovely, even went out of their way with a special little birthday cake for my daughter and joined in singing happy birthday. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back soon.
The food was amazing and service was excellent. The Sheraton is such a lovely place to visit for this sort of occasion. Thank you to ALL the staff involved in creating a wonderful event.
disappointed to have a phone call on the day informing me that they would be closing at 5 and service would cease at 4.30. This should have been mentioned when booking accepted. Felt most uncomfortable and spoiled what should have been a happy occasion and treat for the family
I attended for a 60th birthday and had requested if possible that a small cake with Happy 60th birthday written would be appreciative. How surprised were we when 3 small cakes arrived with the Happy Birthday. Spectacular!!!!
Range of food
Great as we got a 50% discount for a group booking
Food was very good but waiter was not very attentive compare to other table waiter.
Fitted our expectations perfectly.
Lovely luxurious environment, excellent service and excellent food. The fact that the High Tea is a buffet is great as you can pick and choose from all the savouries and sweets and there is a huge range.
Environment can be a little noisy when there are large groups here but the soft furnishings keep this to an acceptable level.
Delightful high tea experience. Service was great and our waitress was polite and very attentive. Could do with a few more savoury items however there were more than enough cakes! All the items my friends and I tried were lovely. The two hour sitting was more than enough but if you want to stay on and chat, maybe select the 2.30pm sitting as we were (understandably) ushered out of the 12pm to set up for 2.30. Our waitress overheard we were celebrating a birthday and we received a lovely lava cake with candle. Couldn't fit it in but it was a lovely gesture!
Lovely High Tea at The Gallery. Staff service very professional. Extensive variety savoury and sweet treats, and large tea menu & coffee. Add champagne at extra cost for celebration. Enjoyable afternoon with friends - I would recommend for special occasions.
High tea was quite lovely, the only downside was the sandwiches! They were a little dry, rest was lovely.
Amazinggggggg, will definatley reccomened!
The food was incorrectly labelled, there was an item in it that had a specific nut that I am allergic to and the item was not labelled as may contain nuts.
When I went to pass the feedback on when paying I was made to feel like I was incompetent and that it was my own fault - I was not even given an apology.
Just be careful if you have any allergies to triple check !!
Would have liked more hot savory options. A bit pricey for what you get, and considering you have a time limit, they should offer unlimited tea and coffee as well
My family are high tea aficionados so we were a bit underwhelmed by this experience which was a shame as it was a special occasion
Just over 48 hours prior to our booking i received an unexpected call from the hotel to confirm the booking and requesting my credit card details for a 50% deposit as our booking was for 8 people. No mention had been made of a deposit being required prior to dining when i received an email confirming my online booking. I declined to give my credit card details and transferred funds electronically. On settling my bill at the end of our afternoon tea I was asked twice to show my bank statement.
We had never been to high tea before and this was a great first experience. My 8 and 10 year old nieces also had a lovely time. The food was very tasty and there was a wide range.
The selection on offer for the high tea was superb. We were a group of seven who had varying tastes and ages, so it was good to have a wide choice.
Really nice food! The dessert selection was enormous, but a few extra savoury options would be great. I chose the buffet option because myself and my guests prefer savoury - we figured we'd pretty much stick to savoury and let everyone else go mad for the desserts! Unfortunately, there were only three savoury options - sandwiches, sausage rolls and mini quiches.
First time having high tea at the gallery and it was lovely! Went with my mum and there was so much food we could barely finish it. The room looked beautiful and the service was amazing. Will definitely have to come back!
Service was just horrible! Before we even sit down the waitress reminded us what time we have to leave and when they didn't serve us sparkling wine and I double check with Nother waiter he comes to our table and says, so you have the $80 per person option? Thanks for ruining the surprise for our friend! Just to top it up just before we were about to finish first waitress comes back and tell us we have now 15min to leave! Your service was so bad that it also made us laugh! We will never be back!
I think the High tea could be a little less on sweets and a bit more on sandwiches and savories
The service was very slow. It may have been where we were seated, but, people came in after us and received quicker service.
Have been going to Sheraton for years, but, service was below par on that day
Asking for a spoon, kind of “get your self” answer.
Dirty dishes were not taken away, or quickly enough.
Questioning why membership’s 50% voucher can’t be used, “only $75 voucher”.
I love all savouries and scone, definitely go back again ^^
I thought it was nice. We love high tea & have always loved to beautiful tiered platters & tea cups & saucers you usually get with high tea. I expected beautiful crockery so was surprised it wasn't what I have had in the past.
There was fabulous sweets- but probably too much sweet & not enough savory for us, particularly being 12pm which is more lunch.
We couldn't eat all the sweets because we were still unsatisfied hunger wise.
It was a nice experience however not sure if we'd do it again
The food and service was amazing. Most notably was the fact that when I mentioned that my husband had a food allergy, they took it very seriously and walked us through all the dishes that were safe.
Better not sitting too full.
Great range of sweets for the high tea. Would love a few more savoury options but great value for money and the staff were lovely.
I have attended High Tea at Sheraton on the Park on 3 previous occassions and always found the Service and selection of food at a very high quality
High Tea very average. Nothing special at all and too much expansive for the prestation.
A perfect high tea experience! Dainty and delicious creations attractively set out on a tiered plate. Good balance of savoury and sweet treats. Scones hot and fresh. Tea regularly replenished with hot water or fresh tea. We were thrilled with our high tea and would recommend it to anyone. Very pleasant staff.
Great experience . Really enjoyed the high tea . Plenty of choice both savoury and sweet , scones a little dry though . Great ambience , very comfortable chairs and table settings .would highly recommend to others .
Booked a High Tea and was very disappointed at the quality. High Teas should be served on cake stands with sandwiches and scones to srart with, followed by cakes. What we experienced was a smorgasbord of sandwiches that contained either fish or cheese....not typical contents of a High Tea sandwich. Scones had chocolate in them and were accompanied by quiches and sausage rolls which would be at home at a childrens birthday party. The cakes and sweets were very good.
first when I went to the Gallery reception desk the server or manager just completely ignored me and turned away. His staff had to come up specially to see to us. So rude just a simple “wait a minute and my staff will attend to you” would be a great start. So gave us a very bad impression and not 5star at all.
Then the lunch room is severely under staff.
Food was wonderful, large variety to suit all tastes. Very relaxing.
Enjoyed the attention to detail
The food choices were fine but I would have liked more savoury choices.
Great buffet size and diversity as well as lovely presentation. Quality depended but overall very high ! (Crème brûlée was excellent !!) Very attentive service also, thank you !
