The Gallery Bar & Grill
I booked the restaurant via OpenTable for 9.15pm and on arrival was greeted rudely by the door security who refused me entry. When i told them I had a booking he said he would check with the manager if I would be allowed in and I was told that the kitchen was closed and the bar was no longer serving drinks
No apology was given and I was even blamed for making my booking late and I advised them that booking were available via OpenTable up until 9.30pm
The service at this restaurant is truly unacceptable and I would advise anyone reading this to avoid this restaurant at all costs
Overall Excellent experience, great music great service and most importantly delicious food
Lovely decor and the food was amazing..Great atmosphere x
Felt rushed to leave
The Gallery is beautifully furnished and has an upscale bar/lounge vibe. I went for a family birthday dinner and we dined in the private dining area which was spacious and comfortable; separate enough to have privacy but nicely overlooked the main dining area so we still felt part of the wider restaurant. All staff from the door to the waiters were friendly, particularly our host Cinthia who was very professional and helpful throughout. They took the safety measures seriously wearing gloves and visors and provided hand sanitiser.
The food was delicious; we tried the pork, chicken, fish and sausage mains which all went down very well, though the gravy was a little salty. Topped off with desert and again excellent service with a decorated birthday plate. would definitely recommend and go again soon!
Good food and environment. Staff was not welcoming and we felt that we were being treated differently than other customers.
We turned up for our 7pm booking, booked via Open table and then confirmed via text message the day before. Alas, they didn't have our booking in their system, despite me having a confirmation email and confirmation text message.
We ended up being sat down just after 7.30pm. Two of the mains myself and another of our guest were already sold out - and on a reduced menu, that wasn't great.
The food was pretty decent, the ambience lively and the service was good too - but being made to wait for over half an hour in a bar that we couldn't get served in and then finding out a dish was already sold out was disappointing, to be honest.
I was really impressed with our experience. I hadn’t been to this venue since it became the Gallery but it far exceeded my expectations. We were there on a Wednesday and it was happy hour for Cocktails so that got the evening off to a good start. The food was excellent and so was the service, there is currently an offer on Weds 2 courses for £20 so as well as having a great evening it was great value too. We will be back again soon.
Thank you Rachel for being a wonderful waitress all night! Amazing pork belly too! Think mayfair vibes in east London!!
Good Sunday roast here eaten during my parents first post lockdown restaurant trip.
Perfect Food! Couldn’t fault it at all! Lovely cocktails too!
Went here for my wife birthday with our lil one. Was a great experience and the staff were very attentive. Will go back. Only negative is it is not really a place to bring children under 10 to be honest since they do not have a kids meal.
