A wonderful meal, particularly the starters - both absolutely gorgeous! The mocktails were fabulous too for the designated driver - hard to tell the difference between the mocktail and cocktail which was great! We’ll definitely be back again and will be a lovely place to bring visiting friends and family, thank you for a lovely meal.
Great experience, menu had great choices, food and presentation of same was fabulous, staff were knowledgeable and helpful , couldn’t recommend enough - great value for money
Ate in bar as had dog, very noisy loud voices from bar tables in groups voice echos the experience to eat found it stressful experience just wanted to eat and go asked to move was not possible plus broccoli cold mentioned at bill stage and lady said I mentioned too late overall seems bar should be a bar not eating area
Food was exceptionally good, flavours fantastic and well presented. Very good value for money. Service was friendly and efficient. Restaurant is nicely decorated and relaxed atmosphere.
Excellent food. The chef puts a quist on what at first glance at the menu is not that different, perhaps they should put more detail in the menu regarding the flavours in each dish, however if it’s a surprise you are after I am sure you will enjoy the clean a flavours with surprising taste combinations. Great food, great service I would highly recommend
Great food and choice, almost up to fine dining restaurant level in a pub! The only thing stopping it from getting 5 stars for the food was the fact that the steak was a bit tough, manageable but not to the standard of the rest of the food which was excellent - I can recommend the crispy duck ball! Already recommended to my friends.
staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive to our needs and our 2 dogs needs, water bowl was provided and even when they knocked this over and water was everywhere, it still wasn’t a problem and they made us feel very looked after - pub was clean, and food was beautiful - greatly enjoyed our visit
Food badly cooked raw duck breast & overcooked monkfish
Recently moved to Pentre Berw and thought we would take family visiting from London for a meal. There was 4 of us and the 2 men had the burger which was nice but myself and sister in law had the duck which was awful. We were asked after just starting to eat if everything was OK and in hindsight should of said no and returned the meals but I don't like to complain and persevered but I couldn't eat the duck it was tough and under cooked. After eating we did point it out to the staff but nobody seemed to take ownership and ignored us. We asked if there was a manager and a young lady came and her attitude was awful. She basically said it was our fault for not saying at the start and was very aloof. She didn't have the ability to retrieve the situation and was not professional at all. After we paid the bill she walked away and spoke to another table who looked like regulars in Welsh about us not knowing that I speak Welsh. We will not be returning.
Very good service indeed. Welsh speaking staff there as well
Sunday roast very nice beef tender lovely vegetable accompaniment good service
The partnership that Andrew and Ollie have established, along with their incredible team creates an experience that is second to none. The style, the menu and flair for food appreciation is outstanding. We had the taste experience that we have been holding out for through the whole of lockdown. I have to say it was worth the wait and can’t wait to go back.
We have followed Andrew from the loft, we enjoy his combinations and style, as fine dining at that level is hard to find. However the creativity, calibre of menu, the food quality, presentation and ultimately the exquisite taste do not disappoint!
Outstanding on every level.
Excellent food, friendly staff, great service. Highly recommended. Thanks
Away for the weekend and thought we’d give this place a try. We weren’t disappointed. Food was lovely and service was spot on. Will be visiting again.
Staff very welcoming, service excellent , timing of courses etc ,food was excellent too, no complaints at all, delicious, will definitely go again when in the area.
Good food fab service lively atmosphere, would rather more usual cocktails like mojito, bellini, daquiri
Bwyd o safon ardderchog!! Amgylchedd braf a chroesawgar.
Overpriced for what you got for mains
Sides great value
Decor needs updating plastic plants in windows 😬
Liked our meal so much we booked a table for the following evening.
friendly service, table ready when we arrived, service was quick had a drink within 10 mins, food was amazing , desserts where awesome had 2. will be going back again soon. thanks.
A friendly welcome awaits at the Gaerwen Arms, we have been around half a dozen times and have never been disappointed !
Still a good experience, but somewhat underwhelmed by the steak. Supposedly 28 day aged, it was quite chewy, not very tasty and certainly not worth the £26 charge.
Other meals and courses were fine . Service friendly and prompt.
The food and service was fantastic, I don’t eat much meat so having a chicken option on the menu would of made it even better but we had a lovely time and would go back if we ended up close by again.
Great place, food was lovely and the staff were very friendly.
Hope to have a family evening meal very soon.
Our food was very tasty. The only reason I only gave 4 stars was because it was a little over seasoned. The lobster risotto was delicious. A small portion but quite rich. I must complement the management on their plates and dishes, they really enhance the food experience. We will be back very soon.
Superb food pleasant, friendly and attentive staff.
Only downside was view from our out side table was of a scrubby area of ground. However, it didn't spoil the enjoyment.of our lunch.
I had monk fish and the portion was very small. You need to order side dishes. Excellent service not sure if I would return
Lovely friendly atmosphere, we were ate at a quiet time but staff were great service was good & timely. The burger was excellent, only criticism is that the tofu curry had a strong flavour of cardamon which slightly overpowered the other flavours and I would have prefered a thicker sauce but thats just personal preferenace. Have eaten here before and highly recommend it.
Lovely Sunday dinner we had the roast beef and the meat was so tender.
Will defiantly be going again
Unfortunately, having told the staff that my sister is seriously allergic to onion, we found small bits of onion in the salad. Otherwise, everything was very good
Lovely place, all waitresses were lovely food was delicious just slightly small portions for the price
We were highly impressed with way the restaurant was organised in the current situation. The food was excellent. Our only negative was a mix up with the bill. However is was corrected promptly. We would highly recommend this venue
Very enjoyable meal with good friendly service. Nibbles, starters and sweet were excellent. Main course of steaks was a little disappointing - great flavour but a little chewy.
A fabulous meal, great service and friendly staff made this an altogether great experience! Covid measures were excellent! Thank you!
Brilliant food and very tasty was very surprised with how good it was.
Staff very welcoming.
It was that good we have booked to go for Sunday lunch the the following day.
If I’m the area add to your list of places to go.
We enjoyed our visit and will return but felt the steak wasn’t value for money and mine was quite grisly and thought the burger was better value.
We all enjoyed the chocolate pebble and thought it was on par if not better than a dessert we had at The Ivy
Always a delight to dine here, the food, service and surroundings tick every box, never had a bad experience, can’t recommend this place enough.
Menu and food are top quality. Easily the best food in a pub on Anglesey.
Lovely food in a nice relaxing atmosphere. Staff were lovely and helpful. Will definitely be going back.
The staff were excellent. Diligent and personable.
Food was a gastro experience, yet plentiful. I would return.
