Outstanding as always. An icon and institution lost. Thank you Alex for your stewardship.
Not what it once was, but still one of the City’s greatest institutions and the last of the classics along with Grenouille.
Today The Four Seasons Restaurant enters Restaurant Heaven. Our favorite for many years
The dining experience was great. Service was outstanding. The duck was divine. I am so sad to learn that it will be closing. It will be missed.
Wonderful so sorry it is closing😩
The “special” occasion, sadly, was the imminent closing of this iconic restaurant. Elated that we had the opportunity to indulge in the perfectly-roasted farmhouse duck with sorrel cherry sauce one last time.
Nice new digs! Bar area is deafening. The restaurant is quiet and lovely. It is wonderful that men are not required to even wear jackets. The service was not the same and I am unsure if it is the new casualness or simply an off night. The food was good but not exceptional. I would definitely give it another try because we are longstanding customers of the Four Seasons Restaurant.
Food is ok but not amazing.
The "new" Four Seasons is an architectural gem - sleek and cool -- very Manhattan. The food was excellent from beginning to end. The service was pleasant but not as attentive as we would have liked. This restaurant is a great choice for dinner.
Best smoked salmon on the planet
My go to place for important meetings
Great service. Amazing food.
a classic reborn!
Wonderful grilled sea bass and sublime Henriot champagne set on the new street side patio. Lovely service from Jason and healthy, tasty cuisine.
The Four Seasons team delivered a stellar experience as always!! The food was beautiful and cooked to perfection, while the staff is always on point - meeting every need before you can think to ask. The experience is flawless and ensures that guests are focused on the company and the business at hand.
Wonderful food; great service. Lovely atmosphere. VERY expensive.
AmZing service, excellent food, very knowledgeable staff. A unique dining experience.
Excellent food in a beautiful setting. Plenty of space between tables and the noise level was low, both providing an atmosphere conducive to conversation. Service was generally good but got a bit slow toward the end of dinner. Look forward to going back.
It's not as grand as the old location, but the vibe remains surprisingly similar, the service remains impeccable, and the food can't be improved on. For a Friday night, even close to Memorial Day, it was a little too easy to score a table. I hope business is more brisk during the week!
The service and the food were excellent. The cotton candy surprise at the end of the meal for my birthday was fantastic. I've never seen that before. Loved it. The staff was friendly and we really enjoyed our meal.
this has always been my favorite new york restaurant and now having moved theyve lost none of the magic..the duck as usual was amazing..totally crispy skin with all the fat taken off the inside of it and moist succulent duck with a very nice bing cherry sauce.my partner loved her sole as well. tis place is a classic and one not to be missed on a new york visit. while this certainly is a pricey place, i =feel the value is there....im barry
This is my GO TO restaurant to bring people for a very special meal. EVERYTHING about The Four Seasons Restaurant is perfect. From the moment you walk in to the moment you reluctantly leave, you will feel as though you are in an iconic, well-designed space. The food is delicious, the service impeccable, and the sense of being a part of history, unmatched.
Nice place and service was good but food was unimpressive.
The most wonderful experience! Well worth the cost. Everything was perfect. The Dover Sole is the best entree I’ve ever eaten. Service and ambience are incomparable.
We had a sumptuous 40th anniversary experience at The Four Seasons. I cannot go on enough about the duck! Food, service, and ambience is always the best! Thank you for your consistency (we ate there on our visit in October 2018), delicious food and wonderful welcoming service! Thank you Alex Bitter!
Fabulous dining experience. A must when in NYC. The food was outstanding and our server made it a memorable experience. Highly recommended
Surprisingly poor service. The waitress brought my friend the wrong drink. He nicely said he'd try it. She went away. He took a sip and left a filled glass on the table. The waitress didn't notice, didn't ask if anything was wrong. The wrong drink was on the table for the next two hours.
Excellent experience to celebrate a friends birthday.
The Four Seasons has been the go-to restaurant, for my family, to celebrate special events for as long as I can remember. When my son turned 30, we wanted to maintain the tradition but went with some reservation as it was no longer the original. We were both pleasantly surprised to experience the same level of service and food we had come to expect. I will always miss the pool room but the owners have done an admirable job of maintaining the feel of the original restaurant, as much as possible, in the current space.
Its not the old four seasons- the service is better, the food is great, yes the prices are still high- but the food is so good- the cocktails are tasty- the best scallop ceviche and I normally don't like ceviche, it had a nice spice and crunch to it- they made a special cesaer salad for my young guests which I tasted and was perfect- the onion soup was light and tasted like fresh spring onions- the mushroom ravioli was light and fantastic, and the souffle of course the best- others at the table had the filet mignon which had excellent sauce, and the service was so nice- Ashley entertained our 2 younger guests- its pricey but predictably good.. Go now!!!
Old style service and recipes with a nee but elegant ambiance. Impecable.
EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL AS EXPECTED. NEW LOCATION IS BEAUTIFUL. FOOD STILL EXTRAORDINARY
Just a shadow of its former self as to food flavors and excellence. Major disappointment for the high price.
Way Overrated. Food was plain and simple. Exorbitant prices. Riding on its laurels. Original Four Seasons was much better.
Very interesting. Food was exquisite (I had onion soup and Dover sole -- out of this world! my companions had the tuna burger . . . we shared a chocolate concoction and a semolina tart at dessert), and service was gracious and attentive, but not intrusive. Unfortunately, as a very long time patron of the "old" Four Seasons, comparisons to decor and ambiance are inevitable. The dining room in the new restaurant, though lovely, bears no resemblance to the lively and beautiful ambiance of the old Pool Room. Nor does the Bar Room -- which is very handsome -- rise to the level of "spectacular," as the Grill Room did. Having made these observations, I'll add that the Bar Room, which is very attractive and conveys a sense of spirited energy, and the Dining Room, which is beautiful and serene, are splendid as new venues. My only reservations . . . the restaurant foyer is gloomy (some large foliage and color are needed) and a bit confusing (an elegantly dressed gentleman had to point us to the doorway into the Bar Room, which is where the Host's stand is situated) . . . and the piped-in music in the Dining Room was too loud. I look forward to a return visit, knowing ahead of time that it will be a very special meal in beautiful spaces, only remotely reminiscent of the restaurant's former timeless design.
Everything was prepared perfectly and the service was exceptional. Will definitely return.
food was excellent, service as well. problem is ambience. room is not very inviting, no focal point. When a restaurant as storied as this allows dinner guests access wearing blue jeans and plaid shirts or polo shirts and sneakers--- Well I don't get it. We had many special nights at the original now all we have left are memories and the Duck
The worst food for the money I have experienced at top end NY restaurants.
I was a 25 regular at the OLD 4 Seasons .
This one needs to close.
Highly recommended. Excellent food and service. Don’t miss the candyfloss and champagne at the end.
Excellent. Julius was very welcoming and helpful on the phone and within the restaurant. My sister and I arrived a bit early for our reservation. Julius came outside to get us and welcomed us into the restaurant early for comfort. The food and service were excellent. We look forward to returning to the restaurant
Spectacular food, amazing service, and a touch of class in a City where that combination has become hard to find. Order the duck and the souffle and you will be very happy.
