Had an entire drink spilled on me was charged for it. Never cleaned up the glass under our table and tried to charge us for extra items.
Nice place, great location. When it’s warm enough, the window onto the street are open. Food is consistently excellent over the years.
This place was a let down. My lobster ravioli was delicious, everything else was average or worse. Definitely do not get the gnocchi. It tasted eerily similar to Trader Joe's frozen section food.
We went for lunch for our daughters birthday and our waiter was very dismissive and unwilling to make an attempt to accommodate her lunch request. Our reservation was for 1:30, we arrived and ordered drinks and an appetizer. At about 2:00 when we asked to order our waiter informed us that they were still serving the brunch menu and could not make a pasta dish until 2:30. Our daughter had been looking forward to lunch in the north end and all she wanted was a basic pasta dish. We asked if they could possibly make an exception and he said no. He then suggested another restaurant down the street and sent us on our way. It was very disappointing.
The food snd service was good, with the 90 min we just felt rushed. Not their fault
I reserved an outside table for 7 and when we arrived, on time we were told that there was no table available ( their excuse was that I did not confirm the reservation even though the Open Table app said that my reservation was confirmed) After another 30 minutes my group was given two indoor tables ( close to each other but separated by a glass door) This solution was disappointing as we had a very COVID conscious individual who did not want to join us if we were eating indoors ( he thankfully rolled with the change) and disappointing that we did not get to sit together as a full party. This event was very special as I traveled from California to spend time with these people and felt disconnected during our meal.
On the positive side the food was excellent and the ambiance was great as well.
Great local spot, has large bar for those who like to eat/drink there.
The food and service were great for Easter morning brunch! The front door was left open and it was cold inside the restaurant. Otherwise they would have received five stars. I would go back and recommend to others.
It was great
The lobster ravioli was amazing! Great spot for a date night. Nice quiet atmosphere and good service. Will definitely be back!
Very romantic and quaint environment. The staff were great and the food was delicious! Definitely try it out.
I love going here with my boyfriend. It’s our favorite place. We found it after covid hit and we have always felt so safe and comfortable there. Their ingredients are so fresh and drinks are so delicious. One of my favorite spots if you’re getting a quick drink and appetizer, or having a full course meal. Food and service is spectacular!
Didn’t get laid but that arugula salad was fire
Great food and drinks!
We celebrated Valentine's day, it was very romantic!! The food was delicious. We will definitely come again.
Great restaurant, service, the food was spot on and our server Ronnie was caring and attentive.
Good food and not too pricey. Authentic North End meal.
Felt safe and separated from other guests. The service is always great and the food was delicious!
Great espresso martinis
The lobster ravioli was outstanding and the chicken ziti and broccoli delicious- best I’ve ever had. The sangria and espresso martini both were very good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend Cafe Florentine to family and friends!
We celebrated my daughter's birthday. The food was excellent. Each of us enjoyed our meal choice tremendously. Our server was also excellent. The tables were spaced well for coping with Covid. We were seated downstairs and enjoyed the ambiance. I would definitely come again.
Eggplant App had no taste!!!
We had a lovely dinner downstairs with another couple. Absolutely delicious and cannot wait to come back.
Our server from Romania was out of this world awesome!!
Thank you Thank you!!
Okay food and service, but not very authentic Italian, especially for the North End.
The Gnocchi al Pomodoro was flavorless and the Pollo al Limone was too salty to finish. We split the fig and prosciutto salad as an appetizer which was great and the espresso martinis were phenomenal, however we might look elsewhere the next time in the North End. I heard another table complain about the food, I've read several great reviews so it might've just been an off-night. If you're looking for good drinks then it might be worth taking a chance
It was my birthday and the waiters were wonderful!!!
Food was delicious, service was great. My favorite spot on Hanover street!
Don't know if we got the real Florentine experience as we were seated outside street side. My dish was jusy OK, I ordered the filet, meat was not seasoned and lacked flavor, which was too bad as it was cooked perfectly. Others in my party enjoyed their pasta dishes. Our server was great, even seated out away from the restaurant.
The food was good but the wine prices are ridiculous. They should have a better selection with prices to fit more budgets.
amazing amazing amazing! it is decorated so beautifully... felt like I was in Italy!
Lobster ravioli was delicious!
The street dinning is a whole different experience, this place is great.
We loved this little place so much that we ate here twice in our week long stay in Boston. Great food, friendly staff, beautiful ambiance.
Food was okay service was okay there are better places in the north end to eat
Great food, attentive customer service, great location and ambience!
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend.
This was a birthday dinner and we had 6 people attend. Every single person didnt like what they ordered, they loved what they ordered. The food was absolutely off the charts delicious. We also weren't served massive size meals ... the portions we perfect and there wasnt a thing left over. We sat outside, (COVID) so it was what you expect from that kind of a environment. its the same up and down Hanover St. The prices also are not extraordinary and seemed very fair for how incredibly good the food was. Highly recommend Florentine Cafe if you like good food.
Inattentive sever. Never offered us bread, more wine or cheese on our dishes. One dish came out as a child’s serving although there were no children in our party. Salmon was delicious.
