Been going to the Fez for years. This was an excellent restaurant when it first opened and was for years. Noticed a decline in quality of Food and service about 6 months ago and recently went back during restaurant week hoping it was back to the Fez I knew and loved. Sadly it was worse. Unapologetically slow and indifferent service. Portions smaller than they used to be and food quality not nearly as good. Don't even get me started on the slow to come and weak cocktails. I guess this explains why it was near empty on a Friday night. You used to need reservations to get near Fez on a weekend. So sad to write this review. I fear this place is not long for the ultra competitive downtown Stamford scene. Godspeed Fez, we hardly knew ye.

We basically had the restaurant to ourselves. The starter dishes were amazing including the pork chops. We had a nice selection of wines that were reasonably priced, we went at the right time were and the wine was at half price.

There was music - too loud and not very good. The service wasn't attentive at all. I've been there before when the food was better as well. Maybe it was an off night...

The Fez offers very good Moroccan food. Everything is always fresh and the service is great. I have had the pleasures of dining there for dinner and brunch.
