Good pub meal, however should probably have gone for specials. Superb location on the side of the river Teifi and they have thought about their outside seating. Good service.
Beautiful views and location. My only disappointment was that the kids meals did not come with beans or vegetables - Just chips and fish/macaroni bites. The adult menu was much better and service was excellent.
Excellent food, particularly fish, great for gluten free with wide choice and clearly labelled. Also good for children. Lovely estuary views. We sat outside, there is cover and a heater which was perfect.
A lovely spot on the river. Great friendly service and the food was delicious
Even though they were short of staff the whole experience was very well
run with the Front of House gentleman making sure everyone was looked
after and the service was efficient and well organised. Well done to all
Very good welcome on arrival. Table outside was clean. Covid precautions were V G. Good menu with plenty of choice, especially GF options. Service was excellent with timely arrival of food.
Quality of our burgers and accompaniments was Very good.
An excellent lunch with great Riverside location.
Lovely steak snd chips after a 13 mile walk. Welcoming staff and vrry friendly. Lemon tart scrummy
Fabulous food, great service from a young team of staff who seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. Our compliments to everyone who works there for providing an enjoyable night out.
Absolutely faultless highly recommend
Will definitely visit again if in the area
Fabulous place, very welcoming and amazing views.
Whole experience was very good, service, food & ambience. Would definately highly recommend.
Lovely staff, fabulous food.Fantastic location. All in all would highly recommend
Great location overlooking the water, very friendly service. Good selection of drinks. Fish a bit overcooked and dry, sauce tasty. Balsamic vinegar glaze is too sweet for salads and dipping bread, just balsamic vinegar would be much better.
Amazing view of the estuary.
Got me hooked on blood orange gin!
Good and relax ambient to have a good lunch with family and friends.
Jolly good . good service the waiter was excellent, short on veg options for lunch though
Excellent food great setting friendly staff
I've eaten at The Ferry twice over the past month. The best food in the area, and lovely friendly staff too.
We had a great time at the Ferry! Food was fantastic, the service was prompt and the staff do so welcoming. Beautiful river views make this a lovely place for special occasions too.
We were impressed with how polite and considerate the young staff were. They made a point of standing back to allow us free access. They were responsive and helpful to questions. It was very busy but the food came in sensible time. Also the noise level was low enough to provide atmosphere without impinging on conversation.
Excellent very tasty best meal of the holiday. Look forward to coming back.
Great location. Great food. We had table overlooking the water and the boats.
Bearing in mind Covid restrictions and the intense heat each occasion we visited was excellent, the staff were first rate, pleasant and really helpful. Whenever we visit St Dogmaels we will visit the Ferry Inn. One of the best locations of any restaurant in the whole of the UK.
Beautiful food and excellent service. We loved our view and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend.
Beautiful evening - sat outside very warm . Excellent service and greeting . Good food really enjoyed it
Excellent fish in a beautiful setting on the estuary.
Very attentive staff and lovely setting. Food was superb, and plenty of it so it was amazing value for money. Definitely recommend trying to sit outside or in the cabin, especially when it’s sunny.
Fantastic location, very friendly staff. Highly recommend
Good selection of food and drinks on the menu. Very friendly and service was really good. We sat outside (with our well behaved spaniel) overlooking the estuary with the hills in the background, it was very tranquil and beautiful. The views and surrounding made the meal even more enjoyable.
Great service great ales and the best mackerel I’ve tasted in a long time
Fantastic place . A lovely welcome with excellent service. Gorgeous fresh fish plaice , mackerel, and sea bass .
From the time we arrived at the Ferry Inn to the time we left the service was excellent. Drinks were brought quickly and the food was excellent.
It was our first visit but not our last.
What a lovely place, like a tardis! Had a perfect seat overlooking the water, waitress very attentive. Great food, good choice on the menu. Would definitely recommend.
The Ferry Inn has been consistently brilliant for the 15 years we have been visiting. The setting, food and service is beyond expectations. Just don’t steal my favourite table!
We had a lovely table inside in the window overlooking the river. Staff were friendly and efficient but not too intrusive and we never felt rushed. We had roast dinners and a children's macaroni cheese bites. All of it was excellent. Whenever I see the term 'gastropub' my first thought is tiny portions and high prices. For a Sunday lunch it was probably is on the higher price side but we didn't feel short changed given there was plenty of meat and vegetables, all well cooked and served in a lovely location. The red cabbage was particularly delicious - even our fussiest eater was impressed. If one thing let it down, when I asked for mint sauce I was given a packet. I understand with covid restrictions but I thought fresh mint sauce could have been served in the little ramekin the packet came in. Overall a great experience.
Only problem is parking near to the restaurant/pub as very busy narrow road
Great efficient service, delicious food. Dog friendly and in a lovely location.
The fresh Mackerel was outstanding! Lovely restaurant, great service and overall the dining experience at a very high standard. The Ferry Inn is beautifully situated overlooking the water and it is clearly a popular spot, we will certainly want to return soon
We had a lovely greeting very nice location. Food good, meals were far too big for all of us. Will try again either starter and dessert.
Amazing view of the estuary and stunning food. Staff are really attentive and polite. Food prices slightly steep but taste was amazing. Definitely fill you up food. Will be returning!
