Really good food and service. Would go again and recommend.
Accommodated our party of 10 at short notice. Very good value and prompt friendly service.
Amazing food, great service, we'll definitely come again 😊
Superb surroundings, all staff friendly and off great service with no hassle. Food excellent 👌
Everything was perfect ,lovely meal and fantastic service all round
Very enjoyable, will be going again. Would definitely recommend the Drovers.
Excellent food but really poor service. Waited 30 minutes to order drinks… starters came before drinks… second drinks order never arrived and was forgotten… waited 20 minutes after asking to order desserts for someone to come and take the order. Disappointing.
Lovely setting... food was great.... friendly, polite, happy and welcoming service.... thoroughly enjoyed and will be back...
Great meal and lovely country pub ! Would definitely visit again.
Eating out has changed, The Drovers have adapted and made a safe and welcoming space to eat outside, innovative eating huts and larger tables under a teepee, a lovely atmosphere, delicious food and great service.
Great night, fab food great value
We regularly go to the Drovers, but recently the food, seems to have dropped off a bit
A lovely country pub where the staff are super attentive and the food is delicious. We booked one of the outdoor 'pods' and it was perfect for our family of 4. I hope beyond the pandemic these units are still available as it's great to be outside without the worry of the weather. The food was excellent and I can particularly recommend the crispy chilli beef. Delicious! I understand there will be some changes to the menu soon. I would recommend keeping this on the menu. It's better than any Chinese crispy chilli beef I've eaten as the crispy comes from the fact that the beef it like burnt ends so no tempura batter just chewy, crispy chilli soaked beef. My mouth is watering as I type!
Quiet when we visited. Staff attentive. Food excellent.
Quick, tasty food, generous portions and friendly staff. Outdoor seating area is beautiful and has been done to a really high standard
Always a very good experience at the Drover's Arms.
Good food at good prices. Excellent roast pork for lunch. My only criticism would be that the roast potatoes could have been slightly crisper. Pudding was very good. Would go again for sure
Food was lovely, soft drinks were quite expensive and service was quite slow.
The food was what you'd expect from a country pub with this reputation. Delicious and plenty of it. It has a lovely setting and the atmostphere was nice on a sunny evening. The staff were brilliant despite it being fairly busy. It was lovely sitting out under the tipi at the back as it was too hot to be indoors, but the gravel was very noisy and we were quite uncomfortable towards the end having sat on a picnic bench for a few hours. The booking said we had the table for an hour and a half, there was no way we'd have been served and eaten in that time, it was more like two and a half hours from arrival to leaving with 2 courses.
Lovely setting matched by good food.
Recommend for a relaxing time
Really enjoyed the food (especially sharing platter starter!) and good service. Will definitely go again.
Good atmosphere, good food, friendly staff and good value.
Haven't been here for ages. Their outside space is FABULOUS. Great food and service. It gets busy so recommend you book. The crayfish cocktail was superb. Overloaded with fish and chips for main. Probably over ordered but the fish was lovely. Nice light batter. Highly recommended. In beautiful Skipwith village. Thank you. We shall return 😌
Great food and fantastic service
Will definitely be back!
As it was a nice day so many people were sitting outside. It was our choice to eat in.
Unfortunately my meal wasn’t very appealing but they were happy to change it to a better option. Like most places the Sunday menu isn’t the same as other days which is a shame because I preferred the options on the other days.
Very very busy early Sunday lunch, which severely affected service. So busy, two of the sames meals had different food items and had to ask more than once for drinks.
We have dined at the Drovers arms several times and have always been complementary and had good experiences. Today was very disappointing, we were sat at our table which we had booked given our menus then from there our experience went down hill. We received our drinks but tables around us who arrived after us had their food order taken before us which was annoying but we always make exceptions during what seem like busy time. The staff didn't seem to know what they were doing I received the wrong main and although it was rectified quickly we were ignored we asked three times for more drinks which arrived as our main had finished. Our plates were taken and we were asked if we would like a dessert we answered yes as we knew what we would like and were told "I will take these and come back" he came back over 20 minutes later to which we had had enough asked for the bill again on the third time we had the bill brought to us. A really disappointing experience.
Unfortunately the meal did not live up to expectations, disappointing as we had been looking forward to the meal due to previous customers recommendations.
Very limited menu esp for a Friday, food ok but nothing special, price expensive, been for Sunday lunch which is very good so alittle dissapointed off normal menu.
Booked one of the huts. Great food, attentive service. Fab place to catch up with friends.
The Drovers Arms was recommended to us by the owners of our holiday accommodation and we were not disappointed, from the welcome we received to the service, food and ambience we could not fault it. Well done to the whole team at The Drovers Arms.
Lovely menu but could do with smaller portions on menu. Service a bit slow but put this down to covid restrictions. The staff were lovely and very helpful.
We will definitely go again. The outside area is very well done.
My husband and I dined here end of April and it was super. We suggested to meet friends here and the food was poor - my friend had steak which was tough and has obviously been frozen. I had a burger which was cremated - as was my husband's - and the bun had looked as if it had been frozen as it was crumbly and the food was tasteless
Great location in Skipwith village, in good weather various walks nearby. Food very good quality, and as a Coeliac there was a reasonable choice, and some other meals could, I was told, have been adapted. My wife found her "herby" meal very spicy and on mentioning that, it was changed without question. Worth bearing in mind as there are a number of spicier chouices. We will go again
I have been to the Drovers Arms many times before Covid. The cost of the food is high but was worth it for high quality tasty food. However, that was not the case yesterday. The cost of the food is still high but the food was incredibly disappointing. The meat was tough, the potatoes were so hard they were impossible to cut and chew and were obviously reheated and the selection of vegetables was poor. The creme brûlée was also disappointing. The man taking the food order was abrupt and curt to a point of almost rude. The Drovers Arms was considered my luxury treat as I knew it would be an enjoyable meal but after yesterday I will not be rushing back as the food I received was not even worth half the value I paid for it. Very disappointing.
Relaxing dining experience in the teepee outside. Delicious roast dinner. Highly recommended.
Covid restrictions have improved the indoor dining experience, with not so many people packed in on top of each other.
Service was quick and food was satisfactory but children aren’t catered for particularly well. Children’s portions are not different to adults size. Same size pre-heated plates.
As I have just moved to the village and my partner has grown up around here we had not had the chance to visit the drovers, however with restrictions lifted a little we decided to book this as a treat for my mum aswell that had just turned 40, I must say I was really impressed with the staff and food was delicious, quick service and with it being my mums birthday they ever brought a brownie with a candle of for her, just managed to make it that little bit extra special, so would like to thank the staff that served us, will definitely be back again and would recommend to friends and family.
Excellent dog friendly pub. Always a warm welcome and good food
