Wonderful view of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour accompanied by beautifully prepared and presented food. It’s not cheap however and there are additional costs if you want steak or barramundi or seafood etc. No specials. A glass of wine is included in the set price but the white has to be ssb. Sourdough bread and cultured butter was supposed to be included in the price but was not offered nor received.
Good service. Mains came a little late, but overall good experience!
My experience in the Dining Room was fantastic. My family and I ordered the oysters, the kangaroo tartare to start. After that the duck and the pork. Both were very good but the duck was slightly better. The desserts are perfectly made and I would recommend everything. The view and food 10/10
Had dinner for my celebrating my friend’s graduation. Intially choice was bcs of the location and view, afterwards the menu option and set menu was really impressive.
The server is execelleng which I don’t know his name but he is from Vietnam, he made our night more delightful really appreciated it.
Recommended for specials:)
I took my partner to celebrate his birthday on 8.12.2018. When we arrived, nobody there to take us to the table. When we eventually sat down (not next to the window we requested), they promised to get us water but it did not come. I asked twice. I did not realise that I will get charged $6 for a glass of water. Meaning I coped $12 dollars for 2 glasses of water. So be careful if you want water. I have been to a few fine dining both Sydney and Melbourne and this was my first time getting chased to drink water.. Anyway, the food was spot on I must say. Every single dish is delicious. They looked delicate and bursting with flavours. We do not drink alcohol and hence we ordered 2 mocktails. They are very nice. Must try their mocktails if you prefer their non alcoholic drinks.
I think they were under staff on the night as they were not very attentive. They did not clean our plates for a long time. We have to ask them to clear our table. When ordered two cups of peppermint tea to finish our night, they brought us two empty cups. The tea did not come for more than 10 minutes.
Either the restaurant was short-staffed or it was understaffed or manned poorly because it took 30 minutes before the sommelier appeared, by which time I had already decided on the wines and it took 45 minutes before I was able to attract the attention of a waiter to take our order. Nor were we allocated a waiter.
When the meals arrived, they were of an excellent standard but the poor service did put a crimp on the experience overall. This was especially unfortunate as we had overseas guests whom we were entertaining.
Really lovely for a special lunch with friends and family
Delicious food and wonderful service. A great harbour and Opera House view from every table. Always a delightful experience.
