We had a group of 6 get together.. service was very slow. We waited for drinks order to be taken then we waited for food order to be taken. Eventually we got our drinks, then food in batches. Then one of our group they missed his meal. All in all a shame that a lovely establishment is not more customer focussed

Unfortunately we had a range of issues, starting with confused staff for the reservation, we weren't able to transfer the pre drinks to our table which is strange and then I was asked to pay double until I requested to see the bill.
I had stated 3-4 times that I had a booking and gave my name, the waitress seemed confused and said a table was being cleaned and prepared...but there was 30 tables free as the restaurant was quiet.
Menu was extremely limited, no starters and no vegetarian options on the menu.
We asked for a few bowls of fries after seeing them on the pass, the waiter again seemed confused but then agreed to get us some as there wasn't any others breads on the menu.
We requested they come before the mains, they didn't! the response was that the chef didn't have time, again pretty strange as we literally ordered 5-10 mins before the request.
No one attended our table for drinks or dessert so we made the decision to take that business elsewhere.
To top all of that off, i received an email to state i hadn't attended the restaurant and was told how disappointing that is as they staff the restaurant accordingly.
Huge shame as I'll never go back to what should be a venue to look forward to that our large business would use ongoing, pretty unlikely now

It was quite a windy evening so we asked to sit inside instead of on the deck itself which they accommodated. The menu for inside is different to outside, so to get the food we wanted, we had to go outside to order, which was a bit strange. But it all worked out.
The food wasn't great. I had a buttermilk chicken burger and chips, the burger was nice but had been sitting out for a bit under the heat lamps so the bread was warm but the actual burger wasn't very hot and the chips were very heavily salted, I didn't eat most of them. My partner got the pizza which was so dry. It had almost puffed up and split into two layers and was so dry, like a cracker almost. We didn't complain at the time because we had already paid the bill up front and no-one came over to ask if our food was okay. It had been a long day and was late so we just ate what we could and left.
Would not recommend or go back, unless just for drinks on a nice evening.

THey had 2 out of 3 lifts not working , Took 30 minutes to get into the deck , The team upstairs were not understanding of the time delay of the lifts and entry to the deck . I understand the lifts were not a planned event that happened , however the inconvenience should have been understood by the team on the deck and have some empathy to the situation not caused by patrons should have been taken into account before the team made judgement to us not being to on time while waiting downstairs to get into the deck , Our group of 10 had 1 drink each and left to a more accomodating location

Food pretty good, wait times weren't that bad either ,I think $ 20 for their pizza is a little over the top they aren't gourmet just standard limited toppings. Burger was cold upon arrival so probably sitting for a while before presenting. Great spot on a warm day. Been on a cold day to and not that great but it is Tassie weather

The Deck was the best choice for my husband’s party! Most of our friends have kids and they could enjoy the celebration with us! The place was clean and quiet and we had such an amazing time! Thank you so much!

Although the setting is enviable, the menu lacks much variety. Two of our guests had the Chicken Parmigiana, but found it very dry, two others had the seafood basket and found that had all fried which was disappointing.

I could recommend but with some reservations .

Great vibe, amazing food, great customer service, convenient yet exclusive location. Slightly on the high end in terms of pricing. Can be slightly cold dining at night outside.

A great location, but drink prices were exorbitant. $12 for a can of Somersby cider (because they were out of the Willie Smiths on tap) and $14 for a can of beer was a surprise. They were missing quite a few drinks from their menu, like the cider, and replacing them with inferior, far cheaper, substitutes, yet charging equivalent prices.
This was not the best experience.

Upon arrival the staff did not greet us and could not locate our reservation and struggled to find us a table although the area was pretty much empty. We waited approximately 5-10 minutes for a table. We did not order food only cocktails. The cocktails were nice and so was the set up. The waitstaff could not carry 4 cocktails on a tray and had to place the tray on the table, this made the service slow and unprofessional. It is a shame such a beautiful venue has very poor service. Wish you all the best for the future, but we probably wouldn't recommend or return.

If you're looking for somewhere multicultural this is where you'll want to be as the only locals were 2 women working the bar. The majority of staff seemed like they'd just landed on Tasmanian soil with no customer service or language skills. Be great to see a few more locals employed.

So I have quite a bit of feedback I’d like to provide. We booked our visit based on a recommendation from a friend and viewing the menu on the Facebook page.
Firstly, when I arrived, there was no record of my booking. The staff member even showed me the iPad, which had no details for our booking, despite the fact that we had a booking number and email confirmation.
I was then seated in the section that only had set menus (3 course, 5 course and 7 course – online research indicates that this is the Core Restaurant and Bar section). This was not what we were after, so I moved to a table outside.
Once my other party arrived, we determined that we would be unable to sit outside due to predicted high winds (which I appreciate the venue have no control over). The menu available on the webpage/Facebook page is only available when sitting outside.
Once we moved inside to the circle lounge area, we were presented with a different menu again, which again was not what we were after. We asked if we could order off the menu that we’d seen online, only to be told that we would have to sit outside.
We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere.
I am due to return to The Deck for a birthday function later this month, that someone has booked based on a conversation we had prior to our visit. I’m hoping to have a better experience next time!

The pizza was prompt and good. The rest of our meals were a disaster - three burgers got lost, it took them longer to work out they had disappeared (to someone elses table and gone cold?!) than it would have just to recook them. They then had to recook them. Two people ordered the same burger, one didn't have any coleslaw. The parmi's were burnt. Really disappointed in overall experience.

This place needs a few months until they get on their feet and get their heaters installed. I booked in advance and requested Comfy chairs but I don’t think they had my booking and we were placed at the exterior (Away from shelter), where there was no heating.
Excellent service, they did a good job under the circumstances

Ambience was very inviting and relaxing, need more heaters for outside dining. Had to order cocktails inside; food came out separately, one food order got lost. Our meals then came out again after we had eaten. Will give this place another go. Food was nice and cocktails were great.
