Fantastic meal and a great atmosphere . Last outing before lockdown and will be back as soon as we can
It was the last lunch before the second round of Covid restrictions. Being two adults & two kids we had a great lunch with very firendly service in a beautiful setting
We had a great lunch at The Deck at Flinders Hotel. Lovely fire and lovely room, food was great, happy to come again.
The food was great and tasty. The service was a bit disappointing. After ordering drinks, a beer and Coke Zero, they came and the disappointment began. The Coke Zero was flat, it was disgusting. Didn’t want make a scene so didn’t mention it. We were still waiting for our water, I was thirsty, so under sufferance I drank the coke. When we ordered next round drinks, I politely mentioned to the waitress, the coke is very flat. She said, must be nearly empty. I have to have drinks little to no sugar. She offered me a Coke Zero in a can, I said that would be great. My husband ordered another beer. He watched from tabl as the person behind the bar poured another Coke Zero from the drink machine and it was brought over. No can. I tasted it and was exactly the same, I couldn’t drink it. We had finished our meal and still no second beer for my husband. When the waitress took our plates, I said don’t worry about the beer now. She replied, oh didn’t it come? It had been added to our bill, which she went to fix.
Restaurant wasn’t that busy but felt staff wasn’t really interested. We had eaten our lunch there earlier in the day and the staff (different) were very attentive and had a great experience. The lunch time was probably busier. Not sure I’d return for dinner. Don’t promise something to guests (can) if you don’t intend delivering. Disappointed.
Loved the fire - nice atmosphere and kept us nice and warm. Parma was delicious too!
Delicious meals and service was fantastic. Look forward to coming back again.
Very nice, service was excellent, and staff had a great smiley attitude, very willing to assure patrons were happy. Will visit again and would recommend to friends
Kids menu unavailable so not much appealed to them. Asked for a simple pasta with red sauce and got charged for and adults ragu pasta minus $10. This made each kids serve of basic pasta $23 each!!!! Checked that the bill was correct and they confirmed that was the price! Never going back. Rest of the food was sub standard. Nothing good to say about it at all. Sad way to start our holidays. Very disappointed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Flinders Pub. Great food and the service was exceptional.
Even in the midst of the Pandemic and with Social Distancing obviously in force, lunch at the Flinders Hotel didn't skip a beat. The food was on point, the cocktails generous and the service enthusiastic and well-paced. My wife, in particular, praised her delicate fillet of Orange Roughy and she's not easily impressed. We'll be back.
Delicious food and great service. The seafood linguine had loads of fish seafood and pasta cooked perfectly
We found the restaurant to be a pleasant dining experience with the food being of high quality and service excellent. The ambience however could be improved as it is lacks character and was very drafty. The background music playing was radio like In quality this not adding to the atmosphere.
The food and service was great. Social distancing and hygiene between guests also at a high level. Highly recommended.
Best Fish and Chips I have had in ages. Lovely wine too
Lovely night for our birthdays. We were placed by the fire which was fantastic. The food was very good. We would have preferred eye fillet rather than sirloin but the meal was very good all the same.
Lovely meal, great service, helpful staff, nice ambience. Thanks for a lovely evening!
The staff were very fastidious concerning hygiene very impressive. Service good, fish and chips up to standard will go again
We had a table of four for a Friday lunch. The menu had excellence options and I was spoilt for choices. The wines were wonderful and the staff pleasant. We have been there quite a few times and I highly recommend this venue. The bistro had been configured in consideration of the COVID-19 and made us feel comfortable.
We had a delightful and very enjoyable lunch with our family of 5 on a lovely sunny Sunday. Highly recommend this great place and the service was fantastic.
Personal service our waitress was amazing very interactive food top notch
Best visit in a week day as weekends are so busy as it’s the only hotel in Flinders
Nice local Rose, lovely barramundi, squid and sardines...
Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant , it was bright and the tables were well spaced .
Our waitress was excellent , polite , helpful and friendly . Food was very good , overall a very good experience , will go again .
Family dinner, down for wedding from Sydney.
3 Vegans, one with dairy allergies. Food was great but not a lot of options for them - one vegetable dish was cooked in butter but was listed as vegan.
For no meal issue eaters, food was fabulous.
Excellent food and wine accompanied with friendly, attentive service without being intrusive.
Great, as always at FH
Outstanding value for the quality of food. The dining room is unpretentious and is perfect for couples as well as families.
Food was good but wait staff need to focus on their customers rather than gossiping amongst themselves.
I did noticed that once Dennis Walter arrived they went the extra mile. Casual chat to welcome him and his wife, wiping down surfaces before they sat and constant focus to ensure his experience was great.
My money is as good as his so your service should be consistent.
Good food and good service. Will be back. Very happy with the venue as we were there for my birthday and the waitress was very accommodating to our group.
We had a lovely lunch for a birthday. The service was great and the lady was very accommodating as we decided on arrival to move from our booked inside table to outside near the play equipment. This was no trouble at all. We all enjoyed our meals but the summer salad was particularly good.
Duck confit was excellent. Gnocchi for the little one was expensive and not as flavoursome as it could have been. Kids fish and chips was also a bit disappointing as the fish lacked the flavour of the grown-up version. Flinders is a lovely place to visit and this is one of the best places to eat there if you have children. On a previous visit I had the seafood linguine and this was fantastic.
We enjoyed our celebration of 55 years married very much thank you . We loved our meals and choice a lot , we will definitely return in the not too distance future.
Everything was great. Just one comment. I chose the poached salmon as I am watching my diet at it was very good. It would be good though if the creamy sauce was on the side as I would have liked it without. There was plenty of flavour to the meal without it. Food is always good here so no real complaints but just a suggestion.
Beautiful food, well prepared with attention to detail. very good wine as well. The ambiance was typical of the holiday period with a number of families in the dining room. We enjoyed this
NYE 2020. Great food great place. Good time had by all
Great day out. The Duck on the menu was probably the best ever. Highly recommended.
We have eaten at the Deck before and the quality of food was right up to the high standard that we have grown to expect. Wonderful food, great service and a reasonable price for food of this calibre.
We found eating at the Hotel dining room a most pleasant experience. Service was great, staff friendly and helpful, food featured wholesome servings, and prepared nicely. Prices seemed about average, only real drawback was,we thought, somewhat limited offerings. Would recommend this restaurant and sure we will return in the future.
We ate dinner here on Monday night. We arrived at 7.30 and were told our meals would be quick as we were the last booking. We waited 50 minutes! After half an hour I asked the waitress where our drinks were. She then told me she’d forgotten to place our order. It then took another 20 minutes before anything arrived. Given that we paid $10! Yes $10 for some bread, the least they could have done was given us this on the house. Poor, poor service. Very badly managed and organised. We won’t be going back.
Very busy and noisy, but food arrived promptly and was very enjoyable. Service was pleasant and efficient.
Great service, nice food, but the ambiance is a bit bland.
