Food was good, a bit pricey but that’s to be expected. However, the service was not attentive at all. We had to ask for water for the table 4 times and only got it an hour after we had arrived and the food had come. After the food came, we wanted to order another drink and sauces, again we had to ask multiple times, considering the restaurant wasn’t that busy, we waited at least 20 minutes. Additionally, the prices on the menu were not reflective of the prices on the bill for the drinks. We saw other tables that did receive good service, including a table that had been seated a fair amount of time after us, that got water only 5 or so minutes after asking for it. When ordering food I had specified that I had dietary requirements, unfortunately when some elements of our meal had arrived with the things we had asked to be left out were which left me unable to eat all of the food.
But had to ask for plate and to have table cleaned up
Extremely noisy service not great came very close to walking out, food excellent if it wasn’t for me being honest we could have walked out without paying.
Food was very good but the service was dreadfull, lack of people serving.
We booked a table for 3 at the Crab restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food was superb. We had catch of the day a whole sea bream, fillet of cod with mussels and Dorset crab and 2 starters to share. The service was excellent and the waiters very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a fish restaurant try the Crab, you won't be disappointed
Lovely relaxed lunch, I think we spoke to most of the waiting staff, who even if not serving us, made an affront to come any say hello.
Food was superb and service was very attentive.
Overall very good, service was a bit scatty. Food was lovely and really pleased we went to eat there
Very attentive staff .food was fabulous also good value. Would highly recommend.
Enjoyed it - bit pricey and v busy but who can blame them after the last year
Nice place, excellent waiter attended to us, he was very helpful.
Nice trendy restaurant, clean and has a sea view, food was good and staff seemed very young and were trying their best to keep diners happy.
A 5 would be possible with more attention to detail, the homemade bread wasn't and when giving diners whole prawns most top restaurants give lemon wipes or lemon water to clean your hands so thats why I only scored a 3 for service.
Lovely meal. Very good service. Would
Definitely go again.
Overpriced, low quality of fresh produce.
Had to return a main & constantly chase staff for plates, cutlery & drinks.
No organisation within the restaurant and majorly disappointed.
The appetiser was tiny. The starter was tasteless and I’m sure the cheese was off as it tasted funny and I wasn’t well afterwards.
The main was ok but not what I was expecting.
I ordered drinks that didn’t arrive and yet were on the bill.
There were too many different people attending our table and yet lots of things slipping through the net as there was no consistency.
We waited far too long to settle the bill, it was like they didn’t want our money.
I know Covid has hit hard and restaurants are struggling, but they need to organise the staff so they have specific tables to wait on rather than the ‘wander past’ and see if you need anything strategy that they currently have. We had to gain attention at nearly every step of the process.
We won’t be dining here again sadly.
Our group enjoyed the night very much.
The only criticism is that you charge far too for the scallops. It worked out £4 a scallop.and they only got 3 on the plate. £12 is very expensive for what they had.
Other than this we all had a great time.
Lovely meal and lovely service couldn’t fault it !
We had to wait 40 minutes for a started that didn’t need to be cooked as they mis placed the order. However the food was amazing. Once the staff are trained it will be a great place.
Beautiful meal for my partners 60th. Will definitely return
Beautifully presented and cooked fish. Wine choice limited as lack of stock that evening.
Service as not included but Top service which merited a decent 20% tip.
Lovely place with pianist playing. Will return
Great reviews thought would try it out, booked in advance.
Food excellent, tasty and good quality.
One complaint, dish would be better for shells and bread to go with mussels.
Service a little slow and had to ask for wine order ten minutes after ordering.
Great seating in bar after dinner but cocktails were bland served in small and incorrect glasses and small measures for cocktails; Mai Tai, cosmopolitan and pina colada.
Overall excellent dining experience and would return.
Booked a table for 9:15pm for my family consisting of two children.
Was kept waiting 5 minutes on arrival before we were taken to a table (which was sticky to the touch).
Waited a further 20 minutes for our drinks order to be taken.
A further 15 minutes for our food order to be taken.
To be fair our starters were brought over not too long after.
However our main course didn’t arrive for over an hour after our order was taken.
By then my youngest child was tired and restless.
It’s a shame as we were looking forward to a nice evening.
Decent food, very poor service and questionable hygiene. Therefore won’t be returning.
Booked a table for Bank Holiday Monday 8.30 pm
Got showed to our seats, 15 minutes went by before anyone came to our table. We ordered 2 cocktails for an aperitif and a bottle of champagne for dinner. Nearly twenty minutes passed, they both came together. We were told that the only champagne was the most expensive Dom Perignon or house champagne, a price difference of over £100. Needless to say we ordered the house champagne. On complaining to the manager for the night he said it was on the house after telling him about our experience so far, we didn’t even finish it as it tasted like cheap Prosecco.
During that period a waitress spilled oil on the floor. We told the restaurant twice as there was a heavily pregnant woman on the next table. Nothing was done till a waitress slipped and fell. A different waitress turned up with a wet Covid mask to wipe it, I advised that a mop would probably be better.
All in all the food was average enough but I think on the night there were too many inexperienced staff on duty, mostly young students.
Definitely wouldn’t go back. Such a shame as it could be a fabulous venue.
Very overpriced for what it is. The staff were friendly but poorly organised running of the floor.
We had an amazing experience on the bank holiday. We were celebrating our anniversary and the food and the service was just brilliant, can’t fault anything. All the staff were great, ver attentive. Highly recommend the lobster and the cod, both were delicious. We will be back!
Lovely restaurant. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly. Only found this by chance when looking to book somewhere on internet. So glad we found it. Will definitely go back
EXCELLENT FOOD, THE CRAB WAS AMAZING!!
First time dining in here and it was superb
Tasty meal well presented. Service started off very well but deteriorated a little once the restaurant got busier. Food very good but not quite excellent. Would visit again.
A great seafood experience! Welcoming and exceptional. Will recommend to those wanting a gastro meal.
First time visit after recommendation from friends. Very impressed. Careful service form the staff. Both had haddock dish, which came with battered fish (of course). jumbo prawn, salmon and a large fish ball. Pudding was not then an option.
Sad to say shocking service , not welcomed at arrival , hard to get drinks & staff attention , grubby loos , just poor all round .
Food was amazing ,we had a great night out. Great customer service
Ok, where to start.....
On being seated at the table we firstly noticed the table was still onboard a cruise ship rocking in a storm and the only way to keep our drinks aboard was the stickiness of the table which according to the staff had just been cleaned with hand sanitiser for some reason!!!
Wine list was extremely poor for a supposedly 5 star eatery.
So with this we ordered a cosmopolitan and was taken aback firstly by the colour being a very pale pink, then the taste was a watery orange flavour.
On asking why this drink was made this way we were berated by the staff who made it asking us if we would like to go and watch him make it again.( can’t imagine it would taste any different by this process)
The drinks were a miss and we stuck to the Diet Coke.
Onto the menu, starters were not very appealing which we both had the duck salad which didn’t have much salad at all and was very bland other than the orange sauce on a few of the duck pieces.
Mains we ordered I had the fish and chips as I didn’t trust their cooking ability at this time but my wife being the ever lasting optimist went for the pork collar which she advised me was the best meal she had eaten on our 4 day trip.
Whilst our table being cleared the staff asked if everything was ok to which my wife said the food was lovely but the drinks not so much.
Also stated that the chef was a little too good for the staff which accompanied him. Didn’t go down well!!
She then offered another drink to which we had politely declined as one was enough for this lifetime.
Declined the afters and promptly left to never step over that threshold again.
Wow! Just Wow! Faultless service, outstanding food. Lovely live entertainment from pianist. Wish there was a place like this in London. Visited with a friend. Grilled oysters, lobster with chilli butter and lemon tart dessert. I’ve visited many seafood places around the world and this is definitely one of the best. Thank you to everyone. Well managed and perfect dining experience! Already recommending to friends.
The food was amazing as well as the service.
Music came on a little later which helped the atmosphere.
Would recommend to a friend
Great staff, delicious food, lovely ambience.
Really lovely atmosphere and staff. Food was very nice. Would definitely would recommend.
Exquisite, food obviously prepared with great experience and love. Best meal I've ever had, a little more expensive than 'regular' restaurants but you get what you pay for. This was a great experience, definitely worth paying for.
Booked for late afternoon for after a boat trip. Large portions and excellent value but the main thing is the taste. The full crab (mine) was outstanding as was the other dishes of fish 'n' chips, Sea Bass, Linguini. Thoroughly recommend.
Staff looked after us well and food was gorgeous.
A nice setting and good service. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
Well worth a visit
