Friendly service and really good food.
Lovely food and covid safe. Will eat there again
The waiter upstairs was excellent! Very attentive
Good food and service a bit quiet
A beautiful meal and a restaurant that understands why social distancing is necessary.
Great bar for catch up with friends
We went there three times in ten days
Really nice to visit a traditional pub which still has a good traditional feeling . The bar downstairs has a good atmosphere , with the restaurant upstairs feeling somewhat untouched , however remarkably clean and fresh .
Good selection of wines and pale ales which is always refreshing .
The starter was amazing and delicious , steak tartar.
The main course we had were very nice and well presented ,
We finished with cheese board which looked a good selection , however one of the cheeses was more suited to the bin and bit the plate . Very old and hard .
Saying that , it was a nice experience and a feel of old England/ London .
Once arrived our table was not available. They were very kind and find 2 seats for us at the bar. DON’T USE OPENTABLE TO BOOK AT THIS RESTAURANT
Really super restaurant in a quiet corner of Marylebone but just a stone’s throw from Oxford St so very conveniently situated. It’s a tastefully renovated boozer with the pub downstairs and dining room above. Food is modern British and everything we had on the excellent value 3-course lunch was freshly cooked, delicious and beautifully presented. We were there with friends for a landmark birthday and the servers made this very special with the dessert.
Highly recommended and hope to return soon.
Stingy portions for a £20 Sunday roast. Come on guys. You can do better and once enjoyed eating here in the past. But that's it for me. Mean serves do not guarantee a return visit. What a shame. Poor value and not good enough
We didn’t get any table, they told us they are not working with opentable anymore. It is Saturday night and we have a daughter with us. It was very frustrating!
What a beautiful space above the pub. We were lucky for our early lunch, sun streaming through the windows and the place almost empty. The food was excellent ... above Gastro Pup standards. And the service was excellent. If only all restaurant experiences were this good.
Very limited menu and on it was Stuffed courgette flowers, but when ordered were told, it is filled with cheese, is that alright! Umm filled/ stuffed with cheese, difficult to realise ( I usually make them filled with salmon or crab mousse) the way it was stated lead us to believe that it indeed was odd. Consequently, we both chose the Hake which came with white beans, fennel, spinach and lemon pickle.
Actually an odd combination, the Hake was very nice, but the beans, not exciting, could not see the fennel and almost lost sight of the spinach, as it was minuscule. The side of French fries, were only ok.
The Sauvignon Blanc at £23 for 500 mls, was not very exciting either and consequently thought to be way overpriced. I had made a reservation for 7.45 thinking that on a Saturday night it would be busy, but only 4 tables were occupied, hence no atmosphere at all. We ate our dinner, no dessert and returned home and drank some champagne as a consolation.
We loved this restaurant! Chic feeling pub with delicious food and lovely service. We went with our two kids and I would highly recommend for anyone!
Had some guests visiting from overseas and took them here for some British fare because it was a convenient location and because I'd swiftly read some positive reviews, and was really pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious and we'll balanced, cooked and served beautifully. Service was warm, friendly and attentive, without being over bearing. Atmosphere and decor was really pleasant in the dining room. Would definitely recommend!
Atmospheric upstairs dining room - light and airy, fairly quiet with delightful service and food to match. Fairly traditional menu, but served with imagination and good ingredients.
My sons had eaten Sunday lunch at The Coach Makers Arms a month or so before my husband and I were visiting and they strongly recommended that we try it. We were going to a Fleetwood Mac concert in the evening so had a late lunch hence the restaurant on the first floor was relatively quiet. We both had the beef pie along with a side order of parmesan/truffle fries. It was all delicious - a nicely-served individual pie, melt-in-the-mouth pastry, very tasty filling with a variety of sautéed green vegetables. Definitely a step up from the average pub lunch. We would certainly eat there again and recommend it to friends.
Great night out. Food was great, service was too.
Possibly one of the best Sunday roasts anywhere! Beautiful bright dining room in a lovely corner of the city
Great to be sitting in the dining room on the first floor overlooking the mellow buzz of the street below. Was told we were there on venison day, so duly ordered a burger that was ok. My friend's fish on the usual menu was better though.
Great food & service, would highly recommend this pub, lovely atmosphere
Very friendly and helpful staff. Small menu, but enough to find something for most people. Great local pub.
Very nice place. Great team and good food. We'll be back!
It was a Friday night and as the pub was so full and noisy they let us take up our table an hour early. They allowed us to try 3 wines before choosing too.
Food was just lovely. We had croquettes, chicken, burger and venison and all was delicious. Plus a great expresso martini.
Fabulous, first time & can't wait to go back. As good for friends, loved one, and more relaxed business. Great atmosphere created by location, ambience, and outstanding service. Wonderful seasonal food & good value wine list.
Lovely room, fantastic food so will definitely return soon
Meals and service were excellent. Quiet dining area. Great for friends, family or business. Nice wine selection.
Food was good but don't like taking charitable donation and 12.5% service charge without asking.
My favorite pub in Marylebone- great food and friendly staff
Service was intrusive - inexperienced waitress.
Food was very slow to arrive (although dining room less than half full). One main course arrived and it was a further wait before the other two main courses arrived which meant that the first main course was cold before we started eating.
Really unhappy about being dictated to by the waitress about a small (and unadvertised) sum being added to the bill for a charity. I donate regularly to a number of charities and object to being “charity chugged” in a restaurant. As we had asked for two separate bills we were charged this sum twice. It was not a nice feeling to ask the waitress to take it off the bill.
We are from Honolulu and had the Best food experience ever! Every dish we ordered was over the top!
Good gastro-pub style food, round table for four of us which was very sociable. Decent wine lost, not crazy prices so would certainly recommend.
This is lovely casual dining spot with good food and wine. The staff are relaxed and friendly. It is a regular haunt.
The menu varies but always has a good selection to cover most tastes. The regular pies take you back to your mothers cooking but more exotic offers around meat and fish allows you to enjoy new tastes and experience.
Thank you for another lovely experience
We've been to The Coach Makers Arms a few times now and always have an enjoyable meal. Food is always delicious and well presented. Menu changes regularly. Good choice of wines. Great staff - just the right level of friendly.
Lovely food! Service could use a little bit of additional training. Waitress didn't know their wine list and interrupted our conversation a few times when it wasn't necessary.
Great food and great service
A definite must eat location in the West End
Myself and 6 friends came to celebrate my birthday. The food was good but I had expected better given the prices. Overall it was an enjoyable evening
The food was very goo. My ribeye steak was perfectly cooked and the chips were just right. The only real let down was that the staff were a bit disorganised, so the service wasn't great. But, not so poor that it would affect my decision on whether to return - which I will.
Great food with great service in an upscale pub restaurant upstairs. Sunday roast is excellent.
