Four of us recently dined at The Chophouse on Bankhead in Mt. Vernon, TX. We all were very impressed with the interesting variety of dishes on their menu. We really loved the tempura battered asparagus spears with a delicious hollandaise dipping sauce. Two of us had steak & two of us had salmon & scallops. The bread service there is amazing as it features delicious hot, yeasty rolls with an herbed butter on the side. All three entree dishes were excellent. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine from their great wine & drink list. We will definitely be returning to the Chophouse for dinner again, soon.

Very overrated. Food is overpriced an under seasoned. Tables are too close and noise level is that if a cafeteria. Do not recommend.
